You are what is keeping our country going right now. Hard working and just get it done. God bless you and you wonderful family.
Yes, thank you
Thank you. I have two Grandkids that are in the 7th grade both are talking about joining the military before graduation. They will be carrying on the military heritage - on my Mom’s side my Great Grandpa and Great Great Grandpa with several great Uncles and Uncle. On my Dad side his sister plus 5 brothers. My dad would have served during the Vietnam war but because my Mom was pregnant with my oldest brother and soul provider they told him to go home. Also on my Dad’s side I have several cousins. So thankful and proud. My husband (who was my best friend at the time) had two pieces of paper to signed and would’ve been in the Marines but after speaking to his recruiter which told him (after he listened to him) go home take a month and if you are sure this is the path you want to take come back. He said the guy said he would hang on to his file. Well needless to say we started dating. We will be celebrating our 43rd anniversary the 15th.
Awesome 👍👍
WHY do farmer's kids always have the coolest toys? haha
🤠🤠
Life can be hard....but a positive attitude and love of family will make for a good life. 🙂❤️
The old traverse looks to be about 2 miles...fun on a windy day in a canoe.
Hey Kip next time your in Traverse City go eat breakfast at The Omelette Shoppe. Best breakfast in town!!
Sounds good!
The Grant man looks like he has
it under control 😆
Stay warm and safe !!!!
👍👍
Kip you are one hard working fellow. An inspiration!
👍👍
Those cows look good
Cherry festival. Great summertime event and beautiful area. Mist folks are to ignorant to even know about this area.
I really enjoy watching your videos have been 4 few years
👍👍
Traverse City is a nice place to visit...lots to do!
Definitely!
Traverse City, Michigan. Fastest growing city in Michigan and becoming the northern industrial center. It's a good thing you went now, in the summer it's the number one tourist attraction.
They have some really good food up there.
@@kevinwolf959 Plus a couple of casinos.
@@michaelstewart8806 I have better luck with food
👍👍
I love how your cattle just couldn’t care less about open gates
👍👍
Another great video. Enjoyed the Traverse City drone footage.
Thanks 👍
There was no doubt in my mind when you were measuring the board that you were going to cut it with a chainsaw. Lol.
👍👍
I said this before to you....great work ethic and positive attitude a winning combination!! I'm 55 and retired from a career in a power plants. I grew up around my Uncle's farm 48 stations / pipeline and my grandparents 24 cows surge buckets ( milk cans). My dad grew up on the farm with 7 siblings...he had two jobs in his life..the Army ( Vietnam) and Iowa Electric Light and Power, he passed away at 59 1/2 of cancer ( maybe agent orange?) Anyway, he taught me hard work ethic and get it done also....served me well in 26 years of Power Plants. I keep watching your videos for two reasons... memories and your attitude. Love it!!
👍👍
Piece of advice maybe you consider getting spare rim and tire for your skid steer you always have a spare on hand we try to help prevent downtime I AM A Young farmer from Southern Ohio
👍👍
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Thanks for showing us around the city were you and your wife went for the night and next day. Looking enjoyable. Glad you went.
Busy time with various jobs around the herd. Lots to keep you all busy. Tire repair is always hard.
Like your log burner. Works very good for your situation. Nice job Kip.
Silo’s are high maintenance type equipment. Remember well keeping the unloaders going. You go very well at it Kip. You know your system and how to keep it working. My compliments Kip.
About it for now. Hang in there. Be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for everything Kip.
The Iowa Farm Boy.
👍👍
Kip, it is nice to see you fix and maintain with economic materials, rather than than that just go buy new stuff. Any lazy body can go buy new stuff, but making do with used is great. Use an old 2x4. Use an old 2x8. Figure out where the leak in the tire is coming from. I am hoping that your kids will learn the value of fixing.
Very true!
Thanks for tour of Traverse City only part of Michigan we haven’t seen
Enjoy the daily action at the farm
Go! try the blue tractor and slab town burgers. There is also a couple good restaurants just south of the water front.
👍👍
Nice looking herd 😊
Thanks 👍
TC looks a lot different winter time than during Cherry Festival. My wife is TC native & the daughter managed North Peak years ago. Thanks for the ride down "Memory Lane" 👍💪🙏
I had a friend that lived up there. They have some really good places to eat. i loved the blue tractor and slab town burger. There was a couple other places we ate at 1 or 2 streets south of the water front.
@@kevinwolf959 Our daughter use to manage Blue Tractor also, small world. 😊
@@ardurbin2 I am from north east Indiana I am hoping to go back up there in the next 2 years and go back to the blue tractor. You know of any other great places to eat?
Thanks for sharing!
6:49 #44 checking on the camera. 😁
Wow Kip some great shots from the drone good to see ya take care 🐂🐂🐂
Thanks, you too!
Thank you again for another interesting video. You are a total work horse very inspiring. Have a great week.
Thank you! You too!
Beautiful country in UP of Michigan my aunt and uncle lived in Saginaw Michigan loved going up there for a visit
Wonderful
Check out Grant training himself to operate the skid steer.... He's a regular go-getter.
👍👍
Kip, if you foam fill the tires it save you so much trouble.
👍👍
Enjoyed the video.
Glad to hear it!
Looks cold and snowy. That always keeps the farming interesting. With all the John Deere’s around there don’t you have any cool old Deere snowmobiles to play in the snow with?
Not yet!
Great video Kip, I see you use "old school" method of setting bead on tire. Have had to do it too, 50 miles round trip to garage to set with air blaster. Thanks again great video.
Thanks 👍
If you ever want to visit USCG Air Station in TVC, let me know
Son is a senior chief there
👍👍
I like how you take care of animal a lot. Got a question, sort of trying to educate me - you have some milking cows are healthy vs some milking cattle are skinny (can see rib and pin bone, tail bone). All get the same ration, then why is this difference?
They’ll fill out, it was cold here
Ever think about tracks for your skidsters
Great video
Thanks!
U do a very good job maintaining your equipment tough sometimes but you can do it God bless TerryD.
Grease is cheaper than parts
@@terrydarow8401 AMEN!!!
Yes, thank you
Looks Cold !
Tony in Florida
👍👍
Kip do you like the skid steer with hand control over the bobcat with foot control
Yes a lot more that foot, seem to be less problems
I see you didn't add wood in the morning. How long will that go before you do have to add wood for m night before. Have a good one
10 or above usually 24 hours but below that with wind I put some in every 12
Kip, how do you supplement mineral and protein for the milk cows? I used to figure rations and the higher producers got more and the end of lactation got less.
I dump some in while feeding a few times a week, 50 pound back per bunk
Do your cornstalk bale's shed water the way normal bale's would stacked like that or do u have to tarp them?
They do pretty good, tarp would be good too
👍👍
Another very good video
Glad you enjoyed it
Hello . What do you milk in ? Your parlor sir?
8 stall switch parlor
@@KipSieglerFarming1 I seen something like that years ago. The surge side open parlor. If you remember them not very many around today very few of them milking in them today what I seen in yours was like you milking on all four corners all way around.
Never liked the silo climb. Always "dirty" job.
Need new tires
Kip how many cows you milk
Hahaha, that crap about safety comments before being allowed to write a comment. Hahahaha.
Traverse City area Cherries were always a favorite. Silo climbing was never my cup of silage. Eaglegards...
Don’t think 🤔 banana peal in a silo is a good choice! 🤪
👍👍🤠
Grant needs a HAIRCUT
Just a FYI, you were maybe a mile from the airport and probably in a no drone zone, dont want the PoPo after you.
Yes I got permission 👍👍
