Lovebites and Band-Maid are two different entities. The only comparison is... they are both Japanese all female bands. I like LB but love Band-Maid because of never knowing what sound they are going to produce. Any other bands are generally predictable on what you will hear but Band-Maid is always a surprising adventure.....and not one bad song.
That online show was done right after Covid hit and I believe they had scheduled a live show that had to be canceled so they did this streamed show for their fans. It was released in part to UA-cam at a later date, Though no crowd energy and maybe a bit bummed about the situation at that time (especially Miku), they still pulled off a good show. The MV version is tighter in MHO and I will still claim credit for the idea of using a car chase in the video as they played the beginning riff on a sample video and asked, What do you think? and I wrote something like "Sounds like some James Bond (007) background music to some crazy car chase scene." Anyway, glad you liked it.

I’m Jeff and I love doing group reactions as well just with different creators and such, my actual squad likes the Maids but they all either make their own individual content or just do our shows, I’m the one who LOVES me some Band Maid lol, and I don’t typically leave comments on BM reactions besides just simple stuff but I do love watching you folks as a team react, it’s fun, and it’s obvious that you appreciate the Maids and you are all more musically knowledgeable then I am so I just dig all the wonderful things you have to say about my fav band. I am going to see them in less then two + weeks and I’m genuinely super stoked about it, although they are only getting I think 45 minutes for their set on the first or sec day at Rockville Daytona Beach, it’s the Thursday going into Sunday and I think they are slotted at 6pm EST. Keep on rocking folks , let me know when you do Onset and Manners an About Us, I’d like seeing you 3 on those songs they are sort of my faves.
Lovebites and Band Maid are in different sub-genres and so far they have not officially performed on stage in the same concert, live show or music festival. Who knows, that might very well change in the future
The only interaction I've heard of them having is Akane and Haruna hanging out, though Saki of Nemophila confirmed that most, if not all, of the Japanese rock and metal bands know each other to various extents.

I don't know where you guys live, but if Midland, Texas is where you're from, Band Maid is coming to Houston and Austin in May.

The primary Lyricist is Miku Kaboto, Vocals, Guitar. She is highly respected for her lyrics in Japan. Saiki, Vocals, now works with Miku and has written the lyrics for 3 songs, to date. Miku also is the band founder!!
Band Maid is a Rock band, Lovebites is a Metal band. The most likely event where you would see both would be a music festival. Right now there is no info for Lovebite to tour the US.
The lyrics refer to "oni-san" where oni translates "devil" but it might be better translated "bogey-man". They also refer to a child's game similar to blind-man's buff where one blindfolded player tries to tag the "oni" by following their voice. Cultural references make translation more of an art than something done with by machines, but it also gives deeper meaning.
This was their first release after moving from Revolver Records (a Platinum Passport imprint) to Pony Canyon.
