I watched Jayden and you cover S&G it was great! But MAN! I wish you were around when I had a band in 1988-89 and we couldn't find a drummer that wasn't a FLAKE. ITS SUch a pleasure watching you play.

Try Pantera or Kittie, their complex styles are hell, then we'll go from there. I would say Slayer but not many in life can touch Lombardo, let alone try to copy his style.

Sina is certainly fast! I had to watch really carefully to catch where she went from the hi-hat to the snare and back - I could hear her hitting the snare, but gee whiz she was quick!

I've watched this video dozen of times. Sina strikes the snare drum alternately with her left and right hand, so it sounds like three hands are playing the rhythm. What a clever game ... world class !!!

A colab that didn't work out is our gain. Love the cymbal/snare action. Both hands moving soooo smoothly. The songs you pick to cover or pick you to be covered all revive a song to soon forgotten about . You bring them back where they need to be and always better. Mr. Davis said today the the name for drums needs to changed to Sinas. I think that's a wonderful idea that we're gonna start working on.

One of the prettiest and talented drummers around. Not being creepy 😘 Drummers always fascinated me in that they have to make their four parts do four different things. I am lucky my brain allows me to walk and chew gum without falling down. Keep on playing.

THE SONG - "Numb" is a band composition by American rock band Linkin Park. It appears as track #13 on their second studio album 'Meteora'. Recording for the album took place from Apr to Dec 2002 initially at rhythm guitarist, vocalist, keyboardist Mike Shinoda's home studio and then at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood. The album was released on March 25, 2003. "Numb" was released, as the album's third single, on Sept 8, 2003.
Linkin Park already had massive commercial success with their first album 'Hybrid Theory' from Oct 2000 and the interim remix album 'Reanimation' from July 2002 so expectations were high for 'Meteora'. The album sold more than 800,000 copies in its first week of release. It reached the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart on Apr 12, 2003. "Numb" became one of the band's most recognizable and acclaimed songs. It's chart history is complicated because it appeared on a number of Billboard's charts. "Numb" peaked at #11 on Mar 6, 2004 on the Hot 100 but it also reached #1 on the Alternative Songs chart on Nov 22, 2003 and the Active Rock chart on Dec 13, 2003.
The song is variously described as alternative rock and nu-metal. It's about kids who are fed up with the high expectations of their parents who have forgotten what it was like when they themselves were kids. According to SongFacts, Mike Shinoda told 'Soundweb' "I think it was a nice way to end the album because it kind of sums up the record. It's very recognizable as our sound. It sounds like a Linkin Park song but it does have some mood that 'Meteora' has if that makes any sense. Maybe I can say that better. When you hear it, you can easily recognize it as a Linkin Park song but it obviously belongs on 'Meteora'. It obviously belongs in this new group of songs just because of the way the tone of the song is and the lyrics are. It's kind of about those times when you've got no feeling left or you just don't care. It's almost like exhaustion or something which funny enough is how we felt after touring last year."
Linkin Park has not escaped tragedy. Their main vocalist was Chester Bennington. Aside from LP, Bennington founded electronic rock band Dead by Sunrise in 2005. He also became the front man for Stone Temple Pilots for a couple of years. He was quoted as saying, "Stone Temple Pilots has this sexier, more classic rock feel to it. Linkin Park is a very modern, very tech-heavy type of band. I grew up listening to these guys. When this opportunity came up, it was just like a no-brainer." He also stated that singing lead vocals in Stone Temple Pilots was his lifelong dream. He left STP on friendly terms in 2015 to return to his commitments with LP. Chester Bennington committed suicide on July 20, 2017. Linkin Park has remained on hiatus ever since.
THE DRUM COVER - "Numb" is another of those songs released during the "loudness wars" when heavy compression was used on CD releases in an attempt to make them sound "better" on radio. If Sina's cover sounds less compressed than you remember, it's because Mike used his skill and "magic" to breathe a bit of life back into the recording - making it a less numbing experience! :D

Erneut zeigst du uns einen anderen Teil deiner unglaublichen Bandbreite deines Könnens, deiner Präzision und der Perfektion, die dir eigen ist. Du legst mit jeder Präsentation eine weitere Schippe drauf. Ich maße mich hier an, wenn ich sage, das du mit deinen jungen Jahren bereits vielen deiner "geistigen Lehrmeister" nicht nur ebenbürtig bist, sondern bereits übertroffen hast. Dein Weg führt direkt in den Olymp der Drums, daran habe ich nicht die geringsten Zweifel. Mach weiter so , Sina....die Hall of Fame erwartet dich mit offenen Toren, da bin ich mir ganz sicher.

IMO your drum sound far supersedes the original track. WOWSA Mike! Once again you treat us with some really incredible sound engineering! Huge fan of Linkin Park Sina. Meteora has a few decent ones. This, Faint and Breaking The Habit come to mind. IMO it would have been real difficult to replicate Chester Bennington's lead on this. I'm glad you shared with us. I suppose it can be found in the folder "Lost Hidden Gems" on your hard-drive! :) Time to replay it a few dozen times and let my neighbors here this cranked up to 11. As always this will be playing in my head now for the next few days!

Once again, another great performance Sina. Looked like a good work out as well.
Not many will notice or care about the slow zoom-out at 2:22 and -in at 2:43, but it adds a nice touch to this video. The viewer sees the concentrated movement in the hands, so when the camera sort of pulls out or in from that 'focal point', it not only looks good but also adds a bit of dramatic feel to the shot. On the zoom-in, her dad had it in his mind he was going to start and stop it on the last hi-hat strike. I think it's cool.
