@InclineOutdoors we were 7-7 . Biggest buck was killed Oct 13 w 5 does. Killed two on the 21. One morning and evening., both pushing a does hard. Latest was Nov 2. He was pushing a doe.
I guess the requirement for safety orange gear is only for hunters under age 18 in OR. I've wondered about that from other videos about Oregon hunting.
Nice bucks great video I’m surprised u like most people don’t use a drag belt cabelas sells them mine fits in my fanny pack and alows me to get stood up and drag with less effort. I encourage u to get one and let me know. I guarantee it will make a short or long drag out much easier
How do you process and pack out your bucks when you hike in miles? I met a couple hunters that told me they only take the head, hind quarters, and back straps. As a kid my dad shot a mule deer what felt like 100 miles in a canyon. We dragged it out whole minus his guts. Are you allowed to show that part on UA-cam?
In general in our area blacktail hunting we are usually within 500 yards or so of a logging road. So worst case we pack out halves to that point and the roll the game cart to that point. If backpacked in somewhere a ways we will usually bone out the meat. We carry game bags and packs that are designed for hauling meat in addition to the pack contents. If a road is reasonably close we will drag it out whole if possible. We always take all the meat.

I always stop what I'm doing and instantly click if I see a black tail video pop up
Same here

You guys like making hunting harder for everyone?
@@SG-ig2thwhat are you talking about
@@SG-ig2th Not everyone , only you 🤣
Great hunt! Brings back wonderful memories of my own experience hunting black tails in 70s and 80s
I love the purple shirt and matching bino harness... :D
Are you referring to Jons gray stone glacier gear? 😂

With flat ground or farm land probably good. Would be difficult going up steep hills and over logs etc.
@ I think u b surprised it’s helps in all conditions. I know cause I’ve dragged out bucks using both methods
10:36 get to shoot 2 buck, how you get 2 buck tag?
What season? 23
Because general rifle season does not start for a couple weeks
Correct this was last year.

Jon was shooting factory ammo. Blood trail not an issue 😂
Which part of oregon is this?
Northwest part of the state.
Are you on pay to play land? Or is this one of the few land owners that let us walk in?
We hunt on a variety of public and private timberlands. The majority of this video is on industrial timberland that does not require an access fee.
Plenty of non pay to play pieces out there
