Wreckfest 2 definitely SHOULD NOT have focus on narration/story. To make it good, you'd need huge amount of resources which BugBear clearly doesn't have. Making one would be at detriment of all other aspects of the game and propably wouldn't be any good anyways. Minigames... Maybe but not at launch. They are totally separate thing from the main gameplay loop and putting time into making them good wouldn't improve rest of the game at all. IMO BugBear should focus 100% on the core gameplay and singleplayer singleplayer + multiplayer at launch. I'd like to see FlatOut style minigames added as an DLC or themed content update in the future. Different car classes... Yes and No. Wreckfest already has "street cars", as some of the cars in the game are available as undamaged versions. I'd like all cars in WF2 to have undamaged option, but not as a separate car. Just visual option for body AND specific parts (fenders, hood etc.). I'd like however to feature more visual customisation options insipired/based on IRL grassroot motorsports modifications, maybe with 24hrs of LeMons inspired mods. Non - destruction derby events. Clean/Semi-clean servers or leagues in Wreckfest allow one of best wheel to wheel racing out there. Due to softbody collisions, good driving model and really good online, you can actually engage in proper "rubbing is racing" touring car/rallycross action like you do IRL (in most games weird collision behaviour prevent you from proper racing and you have to avoid contact at any cost). Seeing non-destruction focused events in singleplayer would be great. Regular races, rallycross, rallies... Maybe even drifting. All of these can be achieved while keeping "budget/grassroots motorsport vibe" without sacrificing stylistic cohesion of Wreckfest.
I've played Wreckfest since launch and I still frequently come back to it after a long week of work. I love this game. My entire family runs demolition cars IRL and this game captures that feeling really well. Some things that would make Wreckfest 2 better would obviously be updated graphics and more destruction physics. More modification options like wheels, paints, and body work. Possibly a more in-depth career mode but that's not necessary. Oh, and maybe a larger amount of track and weather options. But I don't want them to tweak with it too much though. I really hope they make a part 2 and that they keep going in the direction they took with the first one. Either way. I can't wait to see what they come up with and It'll be one of the only titles I'll be preordering the second it's available.

I agree. No story. Every other driving game has gone story based. One of the best qualities of Wreckfest is you get straight into racing withought all the nonsense.

Just for fun I'd like to see a vampire mode when/if there's a sequel. When I say vampire mode I mean whatever damage you do to a vehicle it gets added to your vehicles health bar but you can't ever have more than100% health. Thoughts anyone?
i feel like the bigger and hevier (not stronger) car like the bus in wreckfest 1 would dominate as they do so much damage at full health. But I still want to see it, feel like it would lead to some fun chaos!
Demolotion Racer was so awesome on the PS1. Wreckfest had to tune the game more harshly in the next part overall 😄 harder soundtrack. and even more details on the model. Smoke, leaking radiator. glowing brakes. burning cars etc.
I actually forgot about that game until now! Great game! I agree with all that, the soundtrack needs to hit as hard at the cars! I'm excited to see what we're getting when it does come out
If this is true then holy shit its some of the best news ive had this year! Not into stunts or complex tuning settings like forza. More cars more tracks more tournament rewards is what i NEED!
You can play the flat out style mini games on a new game called trail out the minigames I could honestly do without I do get a lot of people enjoy them though as long as it doesn't force me to do them to progress that would be fine a narrative would be cool realistically they could just repolish the game and add new tracks and cars and I would be happy a nice addition would be weather effects and track deformation for dirt and mud maybe even snow That would be pretty cool
I wanna see the physics on parts fly off more smoothly and ground tracktion more rea. Other than that, i like it a lot and can't wait for 2nd installmen.
I'd like damage to work a little more like demolition racer for the ps1. The engine bay (usually the front) of the car should have to be protected more while areas like the back can take more beating. I'd also like sponsors and some type of Season/League.
I hope they fix the mud simulation. Compared to simulation rally games, it's clear Wreckfest's simulation doesn't properly account for how the tires should sink into the mud. Instead it's like you're driving on wet ice. Also I hope they fix the tire model in general so they can remove stability control, which is a shitty solution to a bad tire model.

I was really disappointed that there wasn’t a Nitro gauge that was refillable by air time, environmental destruction, or crashing in Wreckfest. I was so looking forward to Wreckfest being the spiritual successor to the Flatout series, Flatout 2 being one of my all time favorite games. If I could wish for something to be added to Wreckfest 2 it would be that. Give me some Nitro and give incentive to go for jumps, break objects and crash into people!
Open world wreckfest 2. Make it to where you have to drive to and from derby/banger race events, body shops, performance shops, mechanic shops or impound yard. And achievements could unlock hiring abilities to keep you from having to drive to shops. Plus adding the possibility to get into a chase with cops or race AI in the open world while trying to become the world champion wreckfestor. Thanks
DarkbloomVis are you using a mod that can elevate the camera or adjust the hight of the camera angle? I'm only new to Werckfest and playing offline on an Android device. For an Android game the graphics are quite good. But what I find fantastic, even better that the contact physics/crashes, is the tire dynamics on different surfaces. I would have liked the next game to have dwelled more on pure racing than collision spectacles. I'm finding Wreckfest with its mostly engine upgrades & higher payout for podium finishs (making speed important) an odd beast that dwells on mayhem.
Nah It's just me letting the replay mode play out! I also didn't know Wreckfest works on Android devices, that's impressive! Those are some good suggestions, who knows what the next game will have!
No. Please no. I beg you. No. I hate open world racing games. They are horrible. I dont want to drive around a soulless city with no traffic and no pedestrians. And then graphics would suck. Openworld racing game multiplayer always suck too. Hell most open world games suck. Sorry but I have open world fatigue.
you can download mod tracks, some excellent tracks, great fun online (bit of a pain to set it up the first time though) I would suggest Pete's tracks, the very track pack, the very track pack 2, realism mod. And if you like Spa, harry's track pack.

Needs something more than a basic menu and selecting cups. From the WF2 trailer it may have some narrative elements

In multiplayer when you're appreciation spectating you should be able to change your car and adjust your tune/upgrades etc etc.

Wreckfest 2 needs to be smoother it feels ruff and some of the physics are not right, they need to build the 2nd installment like BeamNg Drive on PC.
