You’ve done a great job on this review. I’ve got the EXACT same car, and I’ll say that you’ve got some guts ripping it around the mountain. I don’t trust my car, suspension or tires that much.
Gotta admire your car design observations, Miles. I agree with you, in profile most sedans go with a concave curve to the backlight - that lessens the "bulbous" 3/4 appearance of the car's rear. KIA has done just the opposite on the K5 GT, the bright trim actually emphases the convex profile of the roof slope, lending the overall design too much "rear hips", and it detracts from what is a mostly attractive sport sedan.
Incredible vehicle … test drove it but the $10k markup and potential 3 year lease quote of $730-$840 dissuaded me, and ended up with a ‘23 Sonata N-Line. After trading my Infiniti for it, I absolutely love it. Hyundai Group is truly doing amazing things with their dual clutch/4 cylinders to make their family sedans exciting and I’m on board to stay a while. Honestly, I like the K5’s looks better than the current Accord; the new Accord may give it a solid run, except it’s coming with a sole Hybrid powertrain. Dope review as always!🔥

I rented one of the these and I loved it, however, if I were to buy one I would immediately swap the tires out for stickier tires. Interesting car! I think a MK8 GTI would be a better sportier car. Has an LSD too. With just a flash tune it can make over 330bhp and 370 b ft/lbs. but if these have 100k mile warranties than I can see why you might pick this

Your right about getting a lower 0-60 with better tires. Nice video!
0-60s in fwds are irrelevant, even with better tires it wouldn't be that great , the Elantra N still has a hard time
Some aspects of the exterior kinda remind me of the Charger.. Impressive car and a gorgeous shade of blue
I see a little Charger in it too, yea
I see raptor in it
i see some hints of camaro in the front as well

Awesome review, though one recommendation I’d like to see: a section where you test the speakers.
Check out my Night Drives! I always do a sound system test in those. That said, I was short on time for the K5 and didn’t make a night drive 😢

wheels look great and quad tip exhaust!
I wanna get this car so bad lol thanks for the review your great at what you do keep it up man 👏
It's 311 LB-ft of torque. Kia should make k5 GT as good as it's meant to be. Can't even put lsd
Kia killed it with the K5, this and the stinger are nice
Michelin Pilot Sport 4 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport R tyres can help a lot to put the power down to the street.

I question the knowledge about the Kia engineers to not offer the all-wheel-drive as standard on the GT, or at least a limited-slip differential.
