I really love the look of the cox 1300 too! It reminds me of the moto guzziCalifornia's motor, but much more refined. I love the horizontal v. If I had the money me and my wife would be on in right now.
I am following the journey, how did honda manage to blow it on the side bags, they should have a one hand operation and open from the top like the new harley street glides, the only reason I can see for this is to force close more stuff in it maybe. The wait for the back rest is so wrong, its a tour bike so how could they not have the back rest ready to go, crazy.
Thanks for the video and info. I'm waiting for my CTX1300 to arrive at the Dealers. You might want to video outside, as it was very dark and hard to see. I would of liked to see the turn signals on from and back.
First time I saw the CTX1300 I thought it was sooo ugly. I don't understand how it happened but the more I've looked at it online (photos and videos) the more I think it looks just fantastic. Looks like you had her for a few months now but either way: Congrats.
Hey DubbsRider, I got my new one a few days ago. It is on my channel. I want to know how you set the clock. It seems the owner's manual was a little confusing for me when I tried it, because I never could get to set the time right. Can you do a video on that as well as your thoughts of a shorter handlebar versus the stock one, and how it is on the turning radius. I am thinking about getting shorter handlebars, because I guess I am used to it on the other bikes I have ridden.
Great review. Have a Triumph Street Twin now that I really like but isn’t good for taking wife for rides. Been a Honda guy all my life and this bike looks awesome. Dealer has leftover from 2014 for $9999. Curious if it feels huge and how’s the handling, power, and comfort? Have you had a passenger yet? Hate to get rid of my Triumph but I think this would fit us better
This is a different animal compared to your CBR in one main respect. Your old bike had a chain final drive. Your CTX has a Shaft final drive. The "snatchy" or "jerky" feel you're experiencing is the lack of chain and gear slack. Shaft drive has a more positive and tighter feel. If you are not experienced in riding a shaft drive motorcycle I feel the need to caution you. I've been riding rice burners for the past 50+ years, and shaft drive on a bike acts like posi-traction on a RWD vehicle. Depending on throttle, the rear wheel(s) can break loose (loose traction) especially around turns. Please be careful to learn the limits of your new bike. I just bought my CTX1300E and I also have 41 miles on it. Metallic black. So far the best bike I've ever owned, and I've owned many. Happy motoring!
it's a beautiful modern cruiser, smooth ride, mich better ride tham any other V twin old school bike. I have it in candy red color, it's an outstanding bike. it has a few flaws.... mirros are too low, no cruise control (honda ! it's a shame!), no gear indicator, anf the audio/settings controls should be located om a handle bar
Had my CTX1300 for 9 months now and I love it
I just got one for a steal.....love it!
I have every plan on it Audie!! Thanks!

A new one in 2017 can be had for $6500 plus Dealer add on costs. That is an incredible buy.
+David K that is an incredible buy! It’s a great bike for that cost!!
Wow, that's the really deluxe version. All the bells and whistles.
It's got quite a few.. There are a few more I wished it had but no bike is perfect! Thanks for watching!
The rear shocks are adjustable 1-5 .

Totally agree! Honda could have made a better splash in the market if they had more bikes and accessories available! Thanks for watching!

Cool bike man. Awesome.
DubbsRider,
Sounds just like the CTX700D, which is what my starter bike sounds like at idle.

how much did the tall windshield cost ?
It was a while back but I believe that it was between 110 and 120 for the Honda one!

What are you getting for MPG?
Others have reported low to mid 40's
360p??
I went in and rode one and you can't even see out the mirrors?? It did NOT impress me at all and I am a huge Honda fan.
Nice video
Thanks for Watching!
You lucky Dog. Charge up the GoPro and take us for ride.
Audie
Nice Video :)
awful video, too dark and too much glare.
