2014 LF/LT - "I just can't accept that what will be will be" 2016 All our Gods - "If I can silence all the doubt in me, and accept that what is meant to be is meant to be" Can't express how much I love this band.
Just another beautiful piece of art Tom gave us. Every song, every riff, every lyric, every solo, every chorus, every melody, every breakdown that came out of his mind let us all know that he was one of the most brilliant minds ever. He is a legend and the best way to honour him is to spread his beautiful music. Rest in power Tom.
after 3 years it's safe to say, Architects isn't the same without him. Their music is still decent, but it's generic metalcore, lacks the creativity they were known for
I was thinking that Sam should have done some cleans in the first two chorus sections for better vocal balance. Then he just blew the fucking top off when he had the cleans at the end of the song. This song....this whole album is incredible.
there's such a plea of desperation in his voice that adds so much passion to their music, I think that's why I'm so attracted to their music and can't stop listening
Everytime this song ends, I feel a sort of rage flowing in myself, and at the same time, the last notes leave me speechless and in a kind of inner peace... Hard to describe...
This is the be all, the end all The burden, the blessing This is the be all, the end all The burden, the blessing I've made promises that I know I can't keep Drink from the holy grail, you'll find it's bittersweet No matter what he says, poison is not my friend But he'll have my back until the bitter end Always climbing But only ever descending The canvas before me Is never-ending So call for the crossroads if you're lost in the woods If I drop this torch, then I'll be gone for good I said, "Enough is enough" Well, I guess I lied, I guess I lied This is the be all, the end all The burden, the blessing This is the be all, the end all The burden, the blessing All my mistakes will outlive me I just can't accept that what will be, will be My lungs are failing, I can't catch my breath I don't know why, but right now I'm scared to death My fear still sees when my eyes are closed But the blame's on me, this is the path I chose Always climbing But only ever descending The canvas before me Is never-ending So call for the crossroads if you're lost in the woods If I drop this torch, then I'll be gone for good I said, "Enough is enough" Well, I guess I lied, I guess I lied I wasted time building castles in the air If there's peace to be found, I won't find it there My fear still sees when my eyes are closed But the blame's on me, this is the path I chose This is the path I chose This is the path I chose I wasted time building castles in the air If there's peace to be found, I won't find it there My fear still sees when my eyes are closed But the blame's on me, this is the path I chose.
Aside from Persuader's The Fiction Maze album, I've been blasting Lost Forever a number of times today. No kidding. This song, this album is brilliant.
How does it not classify as rock? Because it's metal? Or one of it's many subgenres? Metal is a type of rock and the subgenres classification is pointless. At it's very core, Architects is a rock band and this is a rock album.
***** No because their song structure follows nothing of the rock genre, their instrument tuning and playstyle has no resemblance to rock and the fact the vocals are primarily screaming takes it even further away from rock. Architects is a progressive metal band, and this is a progressive metal album.
Tyler Ganskow so I never really heard nightmares couple tracks here and there was not a big fan but I will say IMO I enjoyed here and now better then day breaker , at least it was cohesive and sounded like a album plus I didn't mind the added clean vocals . But to each there own . This record is definitely my favorite followed by hollow crown.
I've wasted time building castles in the air. Considering I killed the true enemy Lilith at the fucking stake... Still waiting for blessings. Gods a fucking liar.... Yup he made us in his image
@ Lucas bernardi because they're first three albums speak to me and I love them a lot and I really expected more out of them it's just disappointing, I got caught up in the hype thinking of some awesome return to form and Naysayer kinda gave hope of that but the album is a new sound one that I believe leaves untapped talent in there members. Sorry if I have offended you
ruskisiscool niceee... but I would not link this to naysayer, I think this is a nihilist mindset song, even knowing that maybe their dream was too high, he also acknowledge that if he drop that torch he will be gone for good... what is the torch? The things you believe, your dreams, your meaning to be alive.... this song is a inner conflict one, with some nihilist mindset imo
Whoever said from a song writing standpoint this album is good is wrong, hollow crown definetly gets that for its diversity and range, this album is just not architects it's like a bastard child of late bmth comeback kid, the mathcore is gone. This is also probably there second softest record followed by day breaker nightmares hollow crown and ruin being there heaviest
I honestly hate people that think it's cool to hate a artists new music because the old stuff was great. This is an amazingly written album and if you can't see that just keep your mouth shut because you obviously like the band so why bash their brand new album.
My life’s a fine line! I can’t catch my breath! I don’t know why, but right now I’m scared to death! Man, I feel this whole song in my bone marrow. I listen to this whole album almost daily and have for awhile! Helps bring me out of the darkest places. Love this band!
"I wasted time building castles in the air. If there's peace to be found, I will find it there. My fist still sees when my eyes are closed, but the blame's on me, this is the path I chose." I don't really get what this all means, but sounds so f-ing awesome that it gives me chills everytime I hear it.
Castles in the air = Heaven. He just know that he won't find peace if he will be chasing the whole God/Heaven theory. And it's "i won't" not "i will" find it there
+Radosław Dul I realize this is a year old comment but I think it's more about building a world in your head and using it as a means of escaping reality, and if there is peace to be found it won't inside of his head, but in the real world.
Those lyrics are truly amazingly surreal and painfully true. I'll break it down for you best I can. "I've wasted time building castles in the air" When people say 'castles in the air' they are referring to an idealistic reality that they or someone else has created in their own mind. A reality that is not feasible, unrealistic, and simply put, impossible. It is a beautiful lie of an expectation of life that we all tell ourselves at some point in our lives. "If there's peace to be found, I won't find it there" This is the realization that the singer comes to in which that they must abandon this fantasy of a perfect existence that they've created for themselves and live in and find happiness and fulfilment in the real world. If they do not, things will never change and they'll never go forward in life. "My fear still sees but my eyes are closed" The singer has accepted that there will be hardships, weaknesses, and trials to overcome for the remainder of his journey. He is aware that he will not have an easy path forward but will not allow these things to prevent him from getting what he wants. "But the blame's on me, this is the path I've chose" The singer acknowledges that he is responsible for the predicament he is in, that he could've done things better but will not blame anyone else but himself for his shortcomings. That's my interpretation anyways. The real meaning could be the same, similar or entirely different. Either way, hope you enjoyed it!
This is good and is better than there past two efforts but doesn't come close to Hollow Crown and they will never top Nightmares. This is good stuff guys but I just feel none of the musicians are tapping there potential the technicality is gone.
Well that's your opinion, I think this album is better than Hollow Crown, they finally made an album that topped Hollow Crown and Nightmares was a classic but the production quality was crap not to mention that Sam was not still in the band.

wait up, is tom made the lyric too?
@@Ocidad yeap, he actually wrote some songs in their entirety, such as Naysayer for example
after 3 years it's safe to say, Architects isn't the same without him. Their music is still decent, but it's generic metalcore, lacks the creativity they were known for
wow each song is just perfect, it's better than hollow crown, this blows my mind
This sent shivers up my ass. Best band ever.
Dude, 2:56 and on really just reaches me on a whole different level. That amazing riff packed with Sam's vocals is just astonishing.
@@forcedentry2010 that riff is amazing

I love architects!!! Have you heard the band Currents?
@@willpalmer989amazing band btw I am huge fan
This lead singer is got that "it" factor to him man. The guys special.
I was thinking that Sam should have done some cleans in the first two chorus sections for better vocal balance. Then he just blew the fucking top off when he had the cleans at the end of the song.
This song....this whole album is incredible.

Great song, like this whole album,I have just finished a cover of this masterpiece!
Best rock album of 2013? BMTH's Sempiternal.
Best rock album of 2014? Lost Forever // Lost Together.
Far from being a "rock album" though

you mean The Resistance by Cte lolz
InMemoryOfJimmy they arent progressive though
I hoped for more cleans and more synthetizers ... anyway good job !
Fuckin beautiful
Shit, this is ballsy.
Anyone remember Nightmares? lol
Yeah. Architects worst release yet, with The Here And Now following close behind.

nope, theres two of them now sadly :(
Now it turns to 7 so sad
Now it's at 10. I liked it though

it just sounds like Sempiternal guys.... doesn't sound very original.
You're kidding right?
have you heard sempiternal? or were you just abused as a child?
This is a literal joke right? Not even close
