Dare just sounds like a better song title than ‘There’
“Hold it down there” is the only time where noodle sings it like that, the other times she just saying “dare”
They probably would’ve called it “That’s What You Do”

Pretty sure I've heard Shaun spin this a similar but somewhat different way so I believe that the "it's comin' up" bit was definitely something Damon was just like "hey wait, do that again", and was initially never intended as a part of the song in the concept stage. I've heard him say that he did actually say dare or "dere" rather. We can be sure he was definitely too out of it to remember for certain but I'm sure it was something similar. He noted once that the never did no harm bit was taken from a poor attempt at a freestyle on the track, and they just kind of ran with that.
He's saying it was the first take not an outage because this is what making music really is

@@greasyphilip We have no idea what speed he originally said it, how many times he said it, how much space he left between words, what the pitch of his voice was or any of that. Who's to say they didn't alter the speed?
To my ear, they could have taken a single sample of him saying "It's coming up" and just repeated it. They sound indistinguishable to me.
@@nagualdesign This is a complete waste of my time, but, 'It's Dare' has a cut between *It's* and *Dare*, whereas 'it's coming up' sounds like it's as it was when recorded. If any of it was sped up you would likely hear it, either in artefacts or in pitch
