Hi, I’ve tried to remove mine today it wouldn’t budge with an open end wrench even used pb blaster still stuck. Did you need to heat yours for removal. Any help would be appreciated.thanks.
Question for you. I had a code 15 on my 84. I bought the exact CTS that you installed and crimped as well. I still have the code 15. The wire harness that came with the sensor didn’t have specific instructions on what wire went to the yellow and to the black. Did you happen to figure if it mattered? I’m going nuts trying to get this check engine light off.
That was something that concerned me also. The sheet that came with it indicated it did not matter which way it was wired. So I didn't worry about it. You could try changing the wiring the other way, clearing the code and see if it comes back.
@@1984C4Corvette_DIY_Garage Thanks for your input. Just bought mine about 2 months ago and have been replacing things as I go. But this has been a major pain.
@@lancebrantlinger-tommy3558 Hang in there, great cars, but they are getting old. I did quite a bit of work on mine the last few months, but it runs great now. I've got a code 42 I'm trying to figure out. Trouble is the car runs great. Anyway, it's always something. Enjoy your car!
Nice video, good to see people torque things down they it should be.
How did you get the connector off
It just pulls off.
@@1984C4Corvette_DIY_Garage had to squeeze the sides , thanks for the reply

You could try tightening it then loosen it, I've had stubborn nuts and bolts where that has worked. Good luck.
Ok thanks for answering I’ll give that a try
dose matter which wire is connected to which wire when splicing them together?
The spec sheet that came with my sensor indicated it didn't matter which way it was wired. Not sure about other sensors.

How did you clear the code? Unhooking the battery?
Yeah just unhooked the negative battery cable for about 30 seconds clears the codes.@@lancebrantlinger-tommy3558
