- 'Resilient' highlights a young Josh Sargent playing the game in his home town of O'Fallon, Missouri, right through to the present day as he prepares to represent his country at the World Cup. In interviews with Sargent and his father Jeff, we get insight into the personality of the hopeful youth who transforms into an international footballer.

You know you’re appreciated by your club when they make an hour long documentary about you.
You know that Norwich have nothing better to show, hence why they make hour long pointless documentaries

It’s a nice enough doc . But I think the club is making the most of the fact that he is playing in the World Cup .. and we have a new American Businessman on the board … timing seems very convenient .. it’s all a but cringey .. and yes , very Netflix …JS seems like a decent guy though

I hope that the good people of Norwich know that so many folks here in the US watch their matches and are really supporting the club. Watching Sarge breakout this year has been beautiful. Finally played him at the 9! Lol He's good on the wing but so much better as a striker IMO. I fully believe NCFC will win promotion this season.
Newly-promoted clubs usually struggle in the Premier League so his first season must have been very hard for him. Sargent cannot be faulted for his attitude and his workrate. I hope he has a great World Cup; he deserves it.

Really enjoyed this NCFC. Great job. As an American with a dad from Norwich, as well as living there myself for 24 years, I have always been a YELLOW! Currently live in Chicago and enjoy the banter with my work colleagues about the games. Many more of them are NCFC supporters because of Josh. Wish him all the BEST, except against ENGLAND as that is the team of my heart.

It’s crazy to think how much upside Sargent has. This year in the Championship is his first pro season on a team that isn’t one of the worst in the league. That 17 year old star is still in there, and we’re finally getting to see it at the pro level. I hope hear tears it up at the World Cup.
It’s nice to see this documentary for the upcoming youth soccer players in the U.S the process his family, trainers and Josh himself went through.
I have so much respect for Norwich City for doing this. There aren’t many clubs in the world that will release an hour long documentary because their player made it to the World Cup. I might be a Leicester fan through and through, but as an American, I appreciate the way you’ve treated Sargent from the day he got to your club. I hope you go up and I hope you can stay there. Sarge deserves it. 🫡

Sargent is such a confidence based player. He is a little shy, but when he was in the youth teams he was such a clinical finisher. When he went to europe he really struggled with that. He needs to get that confidence back. He is such a clinical finisher if he believes in himself. Hopefully he will have grown incredibly as a striker by 2026.

If I have one criticism, it's that the title of each interviewee should have been indicated - as a Norwich fan, I'm obviously familiar with the folks associated with the club, but didn't know who the German guys were.

I have to give it to Sargent! He did not do well for Norwich when he got there. As an American, I knew he was sensational for our youth teams. I've wanted him to do well in in the PL, and the championship. I think Norwich now sees what I saw. Yeah, I will go Colman Mustard.

Tomorrow against Wales he better be the starting striking! Only our manager could make the mistake of playing Jesus. I can’t think of a single moment I’ve been impressed with Ferreira for the USMNT he’s only ever looked good against completely inferior competition meanwhile Josh has been overpowering and outworking championship and premier league center backs. What am I talking about our coach is an absolute buffoon.

This documentary is a bit of an odd-fish. Josh is a great player and definitely someone to look up to, but this video? I think there are people in the Norwich City hall of fame who would love a documentary about them and they probably deserve it more than Josh. I am not having a go at Josh, I like him, its the weird decision to give the film-maker that much time to make the video. It looks like a vanity project. Just very odd to devote this much time to someone who is only at the start of their Norwich City journey. Weird.
