Welcome Johannes! Get good vibes from an appointment like this. Left field and an anonymous, but encouraging track record for the many canaries. Wishing a long and successful tenure boss!
It feels like an exciting and refreshing new era, the likes of which the club hasn't really had for a while. This guy seems to be like nobody we've had before, so hopefully we'll see some football that we haven't seen before too 🤞 Looking forward to pre season now, and hopefully we can keep hold of the players that Johannes might find difficult to replace, if there are indeed any he would struggle to replace. Only he will know that, in the fullness of time. OTBC! 💛💚
Ipswich fan here ,that’s a sensible signing .This guy likes youth production and looks at the big picture. Not one of the usual “ big name “ has beens floating around.
Well done, Ben Knapper, for getting this done quickly and finding someone who fits the brief (youth development, possession-based, attacking football). Question for NCFC fans: what are your expectations for next season (assuming no churn, eg Sara / Sargent / Rowe being sold)?
what do you mean no churn? we've already released a ton. idah likely to sign with celtic (don't blame him) and judging by the highlights reel vid from 3 days ago on this channel, we're looking to start a sara bidding war (which hopefully does mean we're looking to keep rowe & sargent at least). besides, far too early to tell. but judging by our recent poor seasons (against the quality or lack of consistency in our competitors) where we've still been in contention for the play-offs for most of a terrible midtable season then made the playoffs despite key injuries & an ageing squad in the following season, it would suggest that a coherent, balanced, youthful side full of positivity & promise could certainly aim for and achieve the play-offs. probably too many big, established sides with prem quality to be anticipating autos. or it could take longer to rebuild but there should still be plenty of visible green shoots to get behind regardless.
this season will be one for building, probably aiming for play-offs but a major squad overhaul is needed with younger more ambitious players, and to find players that fit the new coaches philosophy. I expect to see a couple more outgoings particularly in the centre of defence with our ageing and old fashioned centre backs. I think this will be a 2 or 3 year programme, and quite honestly id rather we work hard to build a foundation and not rush to over-reach and just come straight back down again.
I remember saying Daniel who, about 10 years ago, so I’ve learnt my lesson on giving someone a chance, with saying that welcome to our Club Johannes and I wish you all the success you will hopefully bring 💛💚OTBC💛💚
Very promising. With a whole pre-season and summer transfer window, I'm hopeful that he (and Knapper) can really stamp their philosophy on the squad and get us playing some attractive, attacking football 💛💚
Hopefully it will give everyone a lift at the club with our new manager, centre Half's with pace must be high on the list to strengthen, ball winners in midfield, upfront is crucial 2 to win close matches, weather we have to sell a couple of our star assets to rebuild again might have to be an option, entertainment and playing football the right way to get carrow rd rocking again, good luck to our new young manager 💛💚👍🇬🇫🐤
wahey he's back!! our pretend leeds troll will be so pleased (as will all his alts) we're not officially into the 24/25 full calendar season until the start of july (contracts typically run til the end of june) but we've already had the first delusional spam statement of the new season! (unless i missed one in recent vids, maybe from one of your other accounts...?)
This is all good, Johannes was brought in early and has a summer and pre season before the season. He talks a good game and i think he will bring success at City.
Was never quite sure if Norwich, were going to kick on from the season just gone and have a big push for the prem, or stop and re-set and build a new team and go for the prem season after next, this feels like a re-set/start agian, we got lucky with Farke, let hope we get luck agian, at least he is not dead wood looking for a pay day. he has my vote.👌
he was unlikely to call them out in this type of introductory video though. Wonder who will be our manager in 12 month's time. If we carry on with such a small squad. A run of bad luck and they'll give him the boot too. I'm not desperate for Premier league football. Just structure and investment.
I’m a bit concerned that he’s inherited half of Wagner’s coaching staff. Usually when a new coach comes in he brings his back room staff with him. It feels like Knapper has imposed the very coaches who were part of the failed Wagner project onto Johannes, which means that his first act as Norwich head coach was to take back room staff that he hasn’t chosen. I just hope that his tenure at Norwich is not going to consist of compromising and bending to Knappers will, just because he’s young and inexperienced. A change of leadership at a club should be a fresh start-this feels a bit stale to be honest.
@@malcolmrobertson7127 I don’t hold any grudge for him considering his options.
