“Get creative, that’s your job as a jeweler!” When I say I LAUGHED! Loved that added comment because it is too true. All the advice in the world and I still do everything a little differently from anyone else. Thanks for such a fantastic video!
I just started follow you and have to say thank you for your knowledge. I want to learn how to do this, and just can't see how the stone doesn't fall out!
Nancy, it's been so long since I did a tutorial of yours. I loved it! I will get set up for the next step. I never got the chance to finish the tutorial on the 3 ring settings, the paid tutorial you did. I hope this pushes me to do it! Nice to see you teaching us another useful, and necessary technique. Thank you! ❤️
A fabulous video, I have such high hopes for success with your videos as I have really struggled with this setting. I have issues with often times the stone spinning around in the setting. I think my main issue is the depth of the setting bur so anyhow I am so excited to see your creating this video you are just totally awesome lady. Love your style of teaching you make it fun
First off, thank you so much! Sounds like you are cutting the seats too large for the stone? Could be the wrong-sized bur, or wiggling your arm when drilling or those dang gremlins! Haha. Hopefully, in the next two videos, you will find a solution. Thank you again! N
so cool and perfect timing! I just spent about 7 hours setting a stone for the first time. Over, and over, and over again! But now it's set and your tips will make it so much easier next time!! Thank you!
Nancy, this is really great, thanks so much! 😊 Flush settings are on my next "to-do" list. I can hardly wait to get the appropriate burs so I can to ATTEMPT setting my tiny CZ's. Also, thanks for the reminder that I can make a burnisher from a nail. I had forgotten all about that. You are awesome and very much appreciated!👍😊
Hi. Thanks for the video. Is there a place that sells assortment of different types of burs in one package? You mentioned in the video that you have students get the assortment and I didn't know if there was a particular place that sold the assortment of burs.
I’m interested in buying the older one.. Autumn Michelle Plus any extra ….. I have spent over 25,000 or more in tools and I still need more. I am a self-taught silversmith, and I learned on UA-cam from you and from maybe three other people who have been on UA-cam 10 years or longer.. but now all these companies have come up with tools to make jewelry designing sit for easier, and it cost a crap load of money… anyway I’m starting my own UA-cam channel and I want people who want to learn to know that you don’t have to have all those expensive tools. Yes it makes it so much easier but if you don’t have the money then stick with me anyway, and I absolutely adore you always have… I’m dealing with some medical issues that started up in 2019 and I wanted to start a UA-cam channel probably two years ago but what happened to me was horrible and there was no way I was going to show my face on UA-cam… anyway, I am down to the final issues of the medical problems and I’ll just be really ready to go anyway I don’t know how to get in touch with you. I don’t know if I should put my email on here or not. I’m on Instagram Facebook but I’m not gonna put that type of information on your UA-cam page. I think that’s been very disrespectful.. even though you have God close to 100,000 followers and I just think you are awesome I think I already said that it again ha ha I’m trying to be funny like you anyway love you bunches and big hugs, Autumn Michelle
Comments glitched. Was wondering if it’s okay to practice flush setting with Swarovski elements stones. I have a bunch of them but I’m not sure if they are really cz like I read or if they are just glass.
Contact Swarovski, they can help. I'm pretty sure that they are glass and glass is brittle. I don't recommend using them but, you could try one that you are willing to sacrifice.
Thank you for the very helpful video. I wondered where you got the 3/32 collet adapter? I’ve been looking for just this thing, but I didn’t see it in your awesome supply list. Thank you!
I will fix that now! Otto Frei in Oakland, CA carries them. Part # 128.216. Amazon also carries some - haven't tried them so, I don't know how they are. Here's a link: amzn.to/3KzpDSv. Thanks soooo much!

I just have to say how generous, knowledgeable and awesome you are!

Nancy, what is the difference between the 3" and 5" ball vise (Other than the obvious), and what would be best for a beginner? Thanks!
