Hey there Cree. This is my favorite song , really of all time. My favorite song of any genre, of any era. I grew with this song and all the other great Queen songs. I hope you keep reacting to them. Welcome aboard. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎸🎼🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
It's great to see someone listen to the intricacies in Queen's sound. They were the best by far.
Freddie Mercury: still missed every day.
Best singer. Best songwriter. Best performer.
Best voice. Period.
Good reaction to the Best Band who ever lived 🥰🌹👑 Lead vocalist is the famous Freddie Mercury 💛
The live in Montreal video of this song is a far better version. Watch it as well.
Great reaction 😊 Queen was a very unique band.
Queens catalog is huge. Keep going down the queen rabbit hole.
R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU
Nice reaction. And the reason you couldn’t isolate who was singing the harmonies was because all 3 of them sung all the harmony parts. Thats why it sounds like a choir instead of 3 singers
No auto tune and no vocal enhancements (only overdubs). This is a spectacular performance and you really need to react to the live performance of this in Montreal 1981. Sounds quite different and one of their best performances ever.
Oh, yeah - everyone will tell him to do Live 1981 in Montreal.. in fact, that whole concert is fire..
Your ear was eager and on target listening! Queen loved both the studio and the special fuel that drove them when performing live. It was always all about the detail in their compositions. While they could not replicate the deep layers of the chorus, live let them find fresh ways to approach for a new take on the song.
Thank you for noticing 😎 and for the added input !
Queen is queen they are in their own universe.
R.R.I.P FREDDIE WE MISS YOU
Lead singer is the phenomenal and legendary Freddie Mercury.
Rest of the band is Drums: Roger Taylor, Lead guitar is Briain May, Bass is John Deacon.
They are gifted, creative and one of the best bands to every exist.
Freddie, as the star, was a charismatic and amazing singer who was helped in his presentation by his bandmates. And his bandmates were elevated by Freddie. They were a team.
They lifted each one up.
There is no other band like Queen, nor will there ever be. That are legends ❤
I loved your reaction. I highly suggest reacting to this song “somebody to love”, life in Montreal 1981.
React to queen somebody to love live montreal 1981. Their live performances are unbelievable
Hi Cree thanks for your wonderful reaction, being a musician, I see you appreciate Queens greatness especially their innovativeness. Now react to the same song live at their 1981 Montreal concert, they change up again! It is just beautiful! R.I.P. Freddie Mercury!
It was the 70s. You have to see them live.
Liar at the rainbow London 74 this will show you what they did in the very early days. This is from their first album
Blessings from England xx
This was 1976.. Queen is known for their harmonies which are most appreciated on their albums.Good on you that your first reaction to STL was the album version. This is how older fans first heard this on radio. You will, undoubtably, be directed to the 1981 Montreal performance of this song. You won’t be disappointed! Cheers.
I enjoyed your reaction, Cree, and appreciate it from someone who is a modern musician! Respect!! Just wanted to let you know Queen is a DEEP rabbit hole and you haven't even begun to scratch the surface yet. Please put on your list the song "White Queen" live at the Odeon Hammersmith!!
Queen was so creative and innovative. They broke all boundaries
You would love the live version. Queen was the greatest live band ever. Try Live Aid in 1985. 👍👍👍 Freddie was the greatest frontman and entertainer ever, vocalist…genius musicians, all four of them.
The live version is 100 times better than the studio version. Live at Wembley, Somebody to Love, best live recording ever.

Check out Queen at Live Aid possibly the best live performance ever imo
Excellent reaction! I was 11 years old when this song came out in 1976 in Queen's album "A Day at the Races" it eventually appeared on their Greatest hits album in 1981. Queen is Freddie Mercury, (Lead Vocals, pianist), Roger Taylor, (drums, vocals), John Deacon, (Bass Guitarist), and Brian May, (lead Guitar, vocals). Each member of Queen wrote songs that became hits. Now that you reacted to the studio version, you can treat yourself to the live version and get to see how wonderfully they perform it on stage! There will be a lot of performances by this wonderful band of talented musicians for you to enjoy. It will be suggested to you by many to watch Queen live at the Live Aid Benefit concert in 1985, if you wish to become familiar with their songs first before watching it, here is the playlist:
1. Bohemian Rhapsody", (Written by Freddie Mercury)
2. "Radio Ga-Ga" (Written by Roger Taylor)
(Freddie's Ay Oh! interaction with the audience, crowd participation at its best!)
3. "Hammer to Fall" (Written by Brian May)
4. "Crazy Little thing called Love" (Written by Freddie Mercury as his tribute to Elvis Presley)
5. "We will Rock You (Written by Brian May) everyone should know this one.
6. "We are The Champions" (Written by Freddie Mercury)
The Live Aid Benefit concert was to help raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia and many bands participating had 20 minutes each to perform on stage. It was simultaneously broadcasted from Wembly stadium in England and John F. Kennedy stadium in Philadelphia, We enjoyed watching it as it happened live on television that year!
You may also want to react to Another One Bites the Dust (Written by John Deacon, "You're my Best Friend" (Written by John Deacon) along with "I want to Break Free" by John Deacon. There are a lot more from this band of talented musicians in Queen I am sure you will be blown away with their music. I enjoyed this reaction! Peace. ☮
These guys were the real deal for sure. Thanks for sharing this one.
Great Reaction ❤🎸
Thank you 😁
Like your reactions cree
I prefer the live version - it shows their versatility too - try the version from Montreal 1981 - it is a miracle - - . - and shows how they interact with the crowd too - and improvises - .
Lots more magnificent Queen to do….especially live!!!🎼❤️🎼🇬🇧🇬🇧
97.8% of all Queen is better live than studio version.
Freddie Mercury legend he wrote Somebody to Love and said it might even be a better song than Bohemian Rhapsody. Everybody knows Queens we are the champions We Will Rock You etc should listen to Somebody to Love live HD Montreal Queen all members have wrote number one hits check out the Live Aid concert Wembley 1986❤ watched by 1.9 billion people around the world in aid of Ethiopia to raise money for starving children you won't be disappointed.
Now watch the full Live Aid set of some 22 minutes. Charity concert at Wembley Stadium UK twinned with a concert in Philadelphia USA. You won't regret it in the slightest. Queen 👑 walked away victorious! They stole the show! Freddie had the audience in one hand and the microphone in the other hand!

When you watch the set, you will know who Queen is.
What a great reaction …. I loved how you appreciated what you were hearing. Queen is an iconic band and lead singer Freddie Mercury is a legend….considered one of the best singers of all time. Please continue to react to Queen….they have almost 300 songs spread over 20 years of hits. You will be surprised how many you will recognize….but didn’t know it was by Queen.
Most of their songs are better when performed live ….. you really must react to this same song live in Montreal 1981…it is totally different from this studio version. So much more after that…..Thanks again for your great reaction….love your honesty.
Please try Queen "Love of my Life" live!!
As someone significantly older than you, it is still bizarre to hear someone hear a few tracks from Queen for the first time and still have no real idea what utter legends these guys were and are. You may not know the name Freddie Mercury, but he was the lead singer and he died of AIDS more than 30 years ago. No one was like Queen. The only other band who can compare are Electric Light Orchestra, for their rock meets orchestra sound, with occasional ventures into opera, whereas Queen made a lot of music like that in the mid-70s (hence the album, A Night At The Opera).
They're a band you can't really go wrong with. Pick a track at random. As for me, I would suggest Save Me, and some from the mid-80s, from the Highlander movie soundtrack, A Kind of Magic and Who Wants To Live Forever.
And because they were so awesome at Live Aid, I'd also suggest the live version of We Will Rock You, with 72,000 people clapping and singing along and literally rocking the stadium. It's short but sooo awesome.
HI CREE !
RECOMMENDATION…
WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOUR REACTION AND ANALYSIS TO:
“KILLER QUEEN”
Love you insight, I can tell you are very musically talented. Would love for you too do a reaction to Journey - Who's Crying Now Live in Houston. Thanks for giving your time to please us viewers.
It will actually say live 1981 but it is in Houston.
1976
This was released in 1976. To the generation that grew up with this music, calling something a joke, is a pretty strong insult. I know you loved the song and didn’t intend that. Makes me wonder what the phrase means these days.
No insults intended 🙏, and wow thanks for letting me know, thought it was the 80s
@@RNDReacts Cree, I knew that. It’s interesting how the meaning of phrases change with each generation. Keep up the great reactions!
Because now people mime because most of them can't sing without gadgets to help
Queen was so creative and innovative. They broke all boundaries
