That is an incredibly tolerant, patient and brave woman. 'Not trying to offend' Seriously? But in interest of interfaith communication, she did a very good thing.
Wow! The patience to submit to such evil endless nagging! As a Christian, and in spite of her misunderstandings, one cannot help but to sense a resounding inner beauty in this woman. I'm so glad I left South East Texas, after 35years!!! I love my New Pagan Life in Colorado!! She did well, I couldn't have handled him in such a manner. ~Blessed Be~
This isn't really an interview in my eyes. Sounds more like someone trying to convert someone else. Amanda, I commend you for sticking to your personal values. Religion is one of the reasons there are wars. I think the man could be more tolerant of her different beliefs instead of making her feel guilty for her values.
Trying to push your religion on someone is extremely disrespectful and very annoying. How would you feel if someone was berating you with questions of what if's? Your reality and your truth is yours and yours alone. Other people don't share the same reality that you do. No one wants some other person telling them their beliefs are wrong because you wouldn't want someone to do that to you. If they aren't murdering people and doing horrific things. Then people can believe and do whatever they want.
Every few months or so I look at this video again and Im sill amazed at the lady Amanda being interviewed. Id have lost it for sure! Shes an insperation. )O(
Keep defending Christ, brother! He is the only way to receive salvation from a righteous God. Even 16 years later I hope you are still standing upon the power of God's word!
This guy's spouting alot of "what if's". He sounds pretty unsure of his own beliefs to be asking so many hypothetical questions, especially since they are being met with reason by this wonderfully spiritual person.
"What if I'm right?" well what if SHE is right? There is no proof that any of our beliefs ultimatley exist. There is no arguing about it. Please, stop trying to change people's beliefs. Just lead your life as your own example.
THIS is how i wish those types of conversations could go. Both of them were respectful to each other, they never called each other names, ect. I wish people of all religions could get along like this. There was no "convert or you'll go to hell" or anything like that thrown in. And this is coming from a Wiccan.
well, I'd agree. Though it was the Christian side that suppressed and destroyed the indigenous ways of all Europe. Their savior God, their hell concept, their fixation on the afterlife does not bode especially with modern philosophy, times, and technology. I'd argue that pagan culture offers a far better fit. So long as it is very well understood.
Mozart Jones Yes, I'm wiccan too, and i do agree, i know several people in Ireland and other parts of Europe, and there is still a lot of conflict in Europe, especially Northern Ireland where theres car bombs and stuff for Christians and Catholics bickering with each other.
ndDustinCooking AGREED!! I really wish there were more videos like this- it is so fascinating to hear other peoples' opinions, perspectives, and beliefs, and i also like to hear the different objections people have to Christianity, and/or religion in general. a lot of commenters said the guy was disrespectful, but i have to disagree with that- the bottom line is: he believes with his entire being that he is right- and with love in his heart, he does not want to see anyone judged as guilty and sent to hell. what he did was purely out of love for a fellow human being; how many people are bold enough to speak a controversial, unpopular subject to a total stranger in the hopes of reaching someone with what he/she genuinely believes to be absolute truth? When you believe with all your heart and soul that there is an all knowing, all loving, purely just Creator God, and a deceitful, sick, twisted, evil force called Satan-- how could you NOT want people to know the same so that they could be saved? and yet, people have their minds made up one way or another, and this guy had the guts to do what he thinks is telling her the truth that he already knows she doesnt wanna hear. and the girl was so great the entire time- patient, kind, respectful, lovely. i could have watched those two talk for hours on their beliefs. i know people these days are so caught up in moral relativism that they wouldnt agree with me on this, but i really think that if any man feels deeply that he genuinely has the absolute truth to the mysteries of life and of the universe, then let him speak up and do what he has to do to *not* be a hypocrite. I got nothing but respect for this lady. way to hold your own! May the Goddess bless her!! I know I woulda lost it twards this person asking the questions.
You are absolutely correct. I am no better than anyone...God sees me as a sinner as well. The only difference is that I have humbled myself before God through repentance and I am trusting in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ to save me from the wrath to come. BTW my name is Toby, I'm not Tiny (the interviewer)...perhaps you would like to wish a different ill upon me :)
Someone approached me before with the same technique of questioning, telling me that if I have sinned that I would go to hell. It got me thinking, why do people arrogantly believes that they have the best religion/politics/lifestyle/practices? I guess some things never change... Observe how he asks the questions patiently, but always ensures that he asserts his own beliefs.
I lived my life the way I wanted for the majority of it. I was my Boss and at one time I actually cursed God from a hospital bed. He saved me 20 years later. On weekends I spend time with the homeless, the pagan, the prideful, and the drunken-typical humans. I was one of them. I reach out to them because they are in a deep darkness and do not know what they stumble over. I used to be in their shoes. I now know the saving Grace of God. It was Jesus that said He is the only way, not me(John 14:6).
Paganism is a beautiful religion. I gave this video a like for Amanda, she's awesome. However, the whole "Are you a good person?" thing is just a trap set up to make EVERYONE who's asked that conclude that they're a horrible miserable sinner with no hope unless they worship a god who sent himself to die for the people he created to break rules he created to stop them from going to a place he created. On top of that, he specifically planned for all of this to happen, including specifically planning for people to sin in the first place. That isn't even remotely fair. If god truly is all powerful, every single thing that has ever been done is his will, including every single bad thing that has ever happened ever. Sorry, I can't believe in any of that. I'm much happier as an atheist than I was as a Christian. The Christian god sounds more evil than Satan!
This is a good example of why you should not entertain hypothetical questions in an interview. I would like to ask this interviewer, "what if you are wrong? what if there is no hell? what if there's more than one way?" It would be better to avoid these hypothetical questions and just talk about Pagan Pride. Don't let the interviewer frame your beliefs. State your beliefs on your own terms.
What if? What if? What if? Wow! I'm impressed with this girl for being so patient and kind. A shining example of Paganism. Her story sounds so much like mine. Bless her heart! I don't know how she endured this with such grace!
My applause goes out to this woman for calmly and clearly articulating her beliefs in the face of questions meant to trap her into contradicting herself and making her feel uncomfortable.
"God", Jehovah, would not tell her: I gave you a chance. Because "he" did not provide enough information for her to see the Truth. Thus, Jehovah´s atributtes of being all mighty and all loving, are false. Jehovah does not exist, and has never existed. Jehovah, is the suprem IDEAL of the Jewish mind.
I aplaude both the interviewer and the lady for being levelheaded, polite and calm. This shows that not every time we come across one another that there must be conflict. Not every Christian is a crazy person and not every pagan flys off the handle and starts arguing! We CAN coexist! Blessed be
[]D [] []V[] []D !! Good job Amanda, way to hold your ground! I know that PIMP thing has absolutley no relevance to my comment, i just learned how to write it and like how it looks LOL
Let me clarify. A Christian is to use judgment when sharing the Gospel. He is not to judge the individual hearing the message. Condemning judgement is reserved for God alone. He is the only One who can judge a person's heart.
Not pointing any fingers or making a hate comment here, but why is the interviewer ranking her by a standard that doesn't apply to her? She's not Christian, she's a witch, it's like trying to use peanut butter as leg wax it doesn't work.
I'm curious as to why this video is no longer available. Is Repent and Trust ashamed of how their guy acted? Are they ashamed of how it makes Christianity look?
An interview can consist of bloody well anything to do with the person being interviewed. It says "interview with a witch", and it IS an interview with a witch. There is no obligation in that to ask her about the event, associated groups or whatever.
I do study the Bible with the Hebrew and Greek interlinear texts. Check out the previous scripture I quoted in the original text. You will see it for yourself. Just curious..what do you consider blasphemous in the KJV? Not much on it myself, but only because I don't talk that way!
I especially like it when Pagans are willing to admit common ground with Christians - because in all actuality there IS a lot of common ground. Infidelity, murder, theft, false witness, covetry - these are ALL in perfect accordance with "An' it harm none." Pagans honor the Sabbats and keep them holy - and one of those Sabbats (Samhain) deals specifically with honoring ancestors, and by extension, parents.
@xXxloveandlightxXx - Yes, sadly many people that profess to be christians do only celebrate God ( as you say) only on sundays -those are th ones who are religious but lost (they have a head knowledge but not a heart knwoledge -Big difference) A real Born Again christian will base their whole life, every decision, etc.... off of their belief in God and obedience to his word. Thanks for your comment, don't worry I didn't take it as trying to start a fight, I'm not like some christians on youtube.
She handles herself really well. The video is not at interview, it should be titled "Tiny Badgers a Witch." Clearly Tiny doesn't know much about religious history, or about his own fear-based religion, but feels compelled to try to get others to join in his fears. The witch did a grand job of not falling into his trap. Well done that girl!
Oooohhhhh! Ken ham and Ray comfort are on a roll!!! 😂😂😂 Honestly, I feel so bad for her. She has to listen to this shit. I would have just cringed and walked away laughing.
Amanda was so very respectful of all the what-ifs. And I appreciate the answers that she gave. He has a right to believe in his Christian beliefs, and Amanda in her Pagan beliefs. Respecting each other is amazing in itself.
I used to be Catholic and follow the faith, but it was the wiccan beliefs for me that saved my life. I'm glad you decided so for yourself, but understand that everyone has their own light and we won't knwo for certain what's what until the very end. I think there's a little of everything waiting for all of us out there.
I'm glad for the chat as well. I thank you for challenging me, and for helping me to understand your beliefs. I hope nothing I've said has caused offense. I'm studying various religions at the moment, and Christianity is one of them. I don't think either one of us is going to change their minds, so it would be prudent to end the conversation here. Hope life treats you well!
Amanda, you have more than succeeded in being an inspiration for your faith! What a decent and beautiful human being you are! You handled the blatant condensation from someone who, himself, at the very least, practices gluttony on a massive scale with such dignity and grace. Mother truly resides in and with you. Blessed Be.
I gotta give it up for Amanda, I wouldent have had that kind of restraint. I watch this video every few months or so to admire her ability to keep her cool and still defend her beliefs. Way to go!!!
@nicolemtracy for women, Witchcraft holds within it the power to become powerful, to embrace yourself as sacred and every aspect of you, therefore, a Witch is a symbol of electrifying power, because to be a Witch is to carry with you the awareness that both you and the Divine are One. There is no seperation in Witchcraft. She was aware of the fact that she was surrounded by the Divine, in both the nature that she was in and in her interviewer. She spoke from her heart.
Amanda did great in representing her beliefes and not being shown to be a fluffy bunny but a person who truly believes what shes talking about. Way to go amanda! Way to hold your own! RESPECT!!!
seriously it seems like that guy was wanting this "What if my faith is right and your faith is wrong would you come to my faith" and he So wanted her to respond "well then I would come to your faith." every time he said "what if" I knew he was trying another approach to get her to say something to that effect.
So proud that she calls herself a Witch. :) Wow. Such a patient, decent, respectful individual. She has my admiration. Why does the interviewer act like she's never heard about Christianity before, though? She said herself that she walked a Christian path for several years. Yet he is speaking as though he is revealing some great, unknown truth for her- she knows it, and has rejected it for her personal reasons.
Okay, so since I'm a "Prophet" or "Messaiha" or whatever term you wish to use and can hear what it is God is speaking now, then if I write it here then I my word could be written and used as part of God's testament?
This is a beautiful, loving woman. She handled his questions with truth and that's all we can do. Many of us have stories just like hers. The gentleman in the video is simply trying to do what he thought was right. And in my opinion, she proved to him she didn't need his help. She is a pure hearted soul without him. Blessings to our Sisters and Brothers of the Craft )0(
I used to be a ministry major at a Southern Baptist University, but I've been Wiccan now for a number of years. I grew up witnessing to folks. What the Christians don't realize is that you can't use the sin, heaven, hell, etc approach to us, because those concepts don't exist for us, so why would we have a need to fear those?
@luminess1987 Sticky buns also come with plenty of caramel! I looove that stuff. :D (They're also great with specialty coffee, like almond mocha!) The beauty about being this far north in the summer is that it can get quite hot outside but you don't usually need air conditioning inside. Just shade and cool drink.
I think that this woman is an incredible person. I wouldn't have been able to put up with this. She handled herself very well adn I hope that her interviewers were stumbed with her unwavering personality.
The unforgivable sin is despair. It means you don 't trust in a god and his Plan. I'm a Witch, btw, that's just what I learned was the only unforgivable sin in Christianity.
As a wiccan I find these kind of conversations rather intimating. The undercurrent of this conversation is still "I am right which means god is right for everybody." This man came with the intention of trying to frighten Amanda back to Christianity. When persuasion fails christians turn to blackmail because the ONLY way Christianity can guarantee success is to say "that if you don't submit to gods will then this 'loving' god will use his great power over you and your independabnt thought process (a 'gift from god' by the way) to torture you for ever." And if you believe the bible those who have submitted to the will of god get to watch this torture process from heaven without any sympathy or empathy for those being tortured. So if you follow this reasoning god not only tortures independent thinkers (using his son, Luicefer as the torturer) the great and the good watch his processas if all the 'good' that got them into heaven has been drained out of them. Does this sound like a god worth having?
To sum it up, it's the whole chicken/egg theory. Which came first? The chicken or the egg? If in the beginning, as Christianity says, only god existed. The devil, therefore, did not. He was created later. In which case he does not necessarily "have to" exist. Since god didn't need to make him. If he did exist then he plays a role in god's design. If that role is "evil" then god let "evil" come into existence. However, good/bad it came from the divine's hand. So he may exist if he is part of god.
Actually it doesn't tell us to kill anybody. It tells us to not deliberately hurt someone and to love one another. The rules of God can never be followed no matter how hard you try. It also tells us to help each other out because we all have something to learn from one another. It also tells us to respect what ever some one believes because its because its because its between them and God. I respect your religion and just want to thank you for this conversation. Im sure your a great person!
The guy asking the questions needs to stop asking "What if" He doesn't establish anything, really. He just tries to lead Amanda and she answers his questions very honestly. She spoke well for Paganism.
She is handling this much better than I would.

This man is going about it asking perfectly normal questions, he isn't shoving this stuff in her face.
It wasn't the messenger that was offensive. It was the message!
The man was trying his quote best unquote to sneak evangelize to this woman.
I think eventually I would have had to say, "Look, we aren't going to agree, ok? Please, let me live my faith and you live yours, ok?"
and to you Amanda i was inspired by you!!!
you are really a special person!
keep up the good work :)
Blessed be )O(
Well she is being patient to teach him that you don't show love by putting fear of hell into someone
I don't think I could have handled this interview and have been nearly as cordial as her. May the Goddess bless her!!!
She spoke from her heart.
and this woman is so patient. he's asking the same questions over and over. who seems more cultish here? you decide.
Amanda did great in representing her beliefes and not being shown to be a fluffy bunny but a person who truly believes what shes talking about. Way to go amanda! Way to hold your own! RESPECT!!!
@musiclovinggurl123 Ha, everyone has different standards of being good. Just be the "good person" that you define as good.
seriously it seems like that guy was wanting this "What if my faith is right and your faith is wrong would you come to my faith" and he So wanted her to respond "well then I would come to your faith." every time he said "what if" I knew he was trying another approach to get her to say something to that effect.
Blessings to our Sisters and Brothers of the Craft

One of my favorite biblical quotes. Thanks for the reminder.
Not sure at all what it is supposed to mean as a reply to my post, though.
:D (They're also great with specialty coffee, like almond mocha!)
The beauty about being this far north in the summer is that it can get quite hot outside but you don't usually need air conditioning inside. Just shade and cool drink.
I commend her for standing there for that long, I would have been huffing and puffing and rolling my eyes and finally just leave xD
How about a missing body?
VioletBob you're absolutely right. I will never understand how our natural human reactions are utterly unacceptable in Gods eyes.
I think that this woman is an incredible person. I wouldn't have been able to put up with this. She handled herself very well adn I hope that her interviewers were stumbed with her unwavering personality.
What if... Concern... Fear... Sin... guilt... This is the manipulative side of some religions to get clients...
The unforgivable sin is despair. It means you don 't trust in a god and his Plan.
I'm a Witch, btw, that's just what I learned was the only unforgivable sin in Christianity.
Im a Wiccan Priest I would love to be interviewed by this guy.
Wow he's a big bad meanie.......I admire her ^^
~blessed be~
As a wiccan I find these kind of conversations rather intimating.
I understand this. I was using the exaggeration for sarcastic purposes to point out the silliness of televangelists.
She really had a lot of patience there.
I love your comment and I agree with you! Plus, the added image of using peanut butter as leg wax is hilarious!
The guy asking the questions needs to stop asking "What if" He doesn't establish anything, really. He just tries to lead Amanda and she answers his questions very honestly. She spoke well for Paganism.
