I learned so much watching this video. I’m new to FMQ and struggle planning out my quilting. The line drawings really helped me think about how I need to approach my quilts in the beginning. I’m slowly getting it thanks to you and your team.
7 months ago I broke both my legs. Not able to sew but your live chats and other videos have brought me so much enjoyment. Thank you. One more surgery and will be able to sew by Christmas. Thank you so very much.
This chat was so helpful. Breaking down the design process into little chunks, really simplifies all the decision making. The hardest part for me when quilting a quilt. Luv the sneak peaks, as well.
Have you ever thought about offering the Build-A-Quilt with a pattern only option? It would be a little cheaper for those of us who are more budget conscience, but still be able to participate in your BAQ. Love everything you do, you have inspired me to save up and buy a baby long arm.
I love to watch your videos. They are so helpful to see your suggestions on what to quilt where. You have so much experience to share with us newbies. I am a long armer that really needs help figuring out how to travel in and out of blocks. Help!! I’d love to see a live example on a long arm machine of how your traveled around a block with your designs. You are an inspiration to us viewers. Thank you!
I love all your "Chats"! This one was particularly wonderful! I do have a request: If you have a chance, a discussion of how to quilt the blocks that are 'imperfectly pieced'. Using some of the same blocks from this sampler quilt for comparison would be especially helpful. I am definitely a visual learner, so when you mention that using a quilting design that will draw the eye away from where the piecing is not perfect, I have a difficult time seeing that in my mind's eye! Thank you so much!
One of the best ever live chats (even though I have to watch the videos later.) It is so helpful to see your thought process. I've learned so much from you...especially to just do it and it will look fine. Still working on not pointing out my flaws though!
Great video, Angela! Lots of ideas for sampler quilts. I intend to rewatch and freeze frame. Your quilting gives me good ideas! Whenever I'm stuck I watch a video for an idea.
would love to be able to buy a tip sheet on how you laid out the stitching on the various blocks.....for now i will look back at the replay for ideas....thanks for all the great tips!
Agreed, I would absolutely purchase a quilting tip sheet with how you designed these blocks. Having an example to practice matching helps me a lot as I am learning.
Last week I was thinking about how I wished you'd cover a sample quilt, so thank you!!! This gives me so many ideas that I can't wait to finish the one in working on.
Angela, this was a super helpful video. I just finished quilting 2 sampler quilts and you have given me ideas for more. Can't wait to see the challenge panel!
What a great Chat! Thanks for all your brilliant ideas. Love the new fabrics - gonna be really hard to choose one. Might have to get two! Lol. Really looking forward to the next challenge! Wow - FEATHERS! Can’t wait. Will definitely buy your fabrics this time. Sew excited! Thanks, Angela. 💕
20:38 that block is fabulous. A larger one would really make a nice baby quilt. The quilting is perfect. Anyone who says they don't like your work is je ne sais pas quoi. How I wish we were friends.
This was a great episode! Any suggestions for a sampler quilt with blocks on point and solid setting squares in between? They're large 12" blocks so I need something in the squares that can be divided in half. The squares on point are too large to quilt a single motif on my longarm. (PS - I was in your shop and bought 2 of your books during LibertyFest last week!)
Thanks for all the great tips Angela. I'm looking forward to hearing your advice on thread painting, though with any luck I should be finished with my magnum opus by then, 😂 (probably not though)
I love watching your quilting videos. It's given me the courage to try new things. Thanks for the great ideas for quilting sampler blocks. Do you have any suggestions for quilting a sawtooth star block?
Did you do the quilting on this sampler quilt using your long arm or DSM? In one of your next chats, could you talk about how you quilt the center of your quilt using a DSM like this one, where you're quilting individual blocks. Center quilting is so darned difficult, at least for me. With my thanks, Linda
I'm not sure how you would go about answering my comment....but I would like to see how you stop and start with all these different quilting patterns...or chunk...lol love you are are very inspirational thank you.
I just love your quilts is there anyway I can get your pattern from 3 years ago when you were doing the midnight quilter for that modern southwestern quilt I am willing to pay for it or book that it could be in
Hi Angela, Newbie here. Just learning how to quilt with walking foot and will be practicing on free motion too. I was wondering if you have any beginner series videos. If not, can you recommend anyone? Looking forward to getting good enough to do one of your challenges. Thanks!
Agreed. All recent video content is wonderful but seem exclusive to past followers and veteran quilters. Is there a live or current series for those new to machine quilting either with rulers, dot to dot and/or. free motion on domestic machines or is her stuff progressive and now targeted only for experienced folks. Hard to figure out all the nomenclature and identify a starting point for quilting with her methods.
I used to watch Angela on The Midnight Quilt Show. She would make a quilt and quilt it as well. I think you can still see these shows on UA-cam. Enjoy your journey. 🙂
Love this - very helpful with design ideas!! Question … do you sketch out a quilting guide for each block before you start? You had the quilting diagrams in the video but were they for us to view for ideas or do you actually do that?? I kinda like it for each block.
Is there a way to buy just the three setting options and the quilting diagrams for the samplers? They would be so awesome to use for orphan blocks or block exchanges!!!
Angela, love your videos and this one in particular will be very useful me as I am working on a Sampler. I would be very interested in purchasing your stitching diagrams (and judging from other comments I am not alone!). Would this be something you would be looking at doing?
What is your go to glide color to quilt with. I'm doing a really bright and colorful top, I'm using linen right now...but just wondering what you would do.
Hi Angela, I popped in late to live chat and had to leave so just rewatched. Was really a great chat. I have a sampler I need to quilt, this gave me ideas, but I don’t want it quilted to death. Lol. Would an all over meander be ok? Or would it leave it looking sad? I may post pic in your group on Facebook. Thanks for all you do!! ❤️❤️
Could you go over what to do with bulky seams. You touched on it in this video for about 5 seconds. However, it would be great to talk about how to incorporate them into the quilting, like when you foundation paper piece and have lots of bulky seams! Pleaseeeeee Thank you
I loved following you on The Midnight Quilt Show with Craftsy, but now its just a lot of quilting and I lost interest. I wish you would bring back a lot of that content. I'm thinking about unsubscribing from your channel. So sorry I'm just being honest.
These videos never get old. Thanks Angela.
I wish you could have a pdf pattern only option for the build a block...would be so affordable for us overseas. Thank You
Angela - you are an amazing teacher. I learn so much from you. Keep it coming!

Sorry you broke your leg, but I hope all is well for you by Christmas!
Wishing speedy and complete healing.
Ouch, may your continued recovery go quickly. I’ve often wondered what I would do if I couldn’t stitch, now I know ….watch Angela😄😄
Being busy is good! Thanks for the sneak peeks and great quilting tips. We love you, Angela!

I agree with your suggestion. Especially for us overseas the postage to Australia is just horrendous
Would love that option. Pattern purchase and use up the pandemic stash
Yes! I paid so much just to join that I didn't make th blocks cause I know I cant afford the finishing kit.
I would also love that. It is not only the cost, but also the delay in getting the fabric. Postal service is not that reliable these days !
A fun and interesting chat to listen to while I hand quilt a throw! LOL, I hope you have a great day! Thank you for sharing!
This live chat was right on time for me. Getting ready to quilt a sampler quilt and need ideas
Love the teal and grey! My favorite colors too

Thanks for another great informative video!! You ROCK!!

Love your videos such a help in understanding the quilting designs.
Angela you inspired me to start quilting and to stick with it. Thank you, you changed my life. I absolutely love watching everything you work on!
Such a helpful teacher! I love watching you and have learned so very much. Looking forward to the Feathers challenge!
would love to be able to buy a tip sheet on how you laid out the stitching on the various blocks.....for now i will look back at the replay for ideas....thanks for all the great tips!

Loved all the information how you quilted each block, this gave me so many options on quilting mine. Thank you so much.

Thank you for these wonderful quilting ideas and also for the fun sneak peaks. The new challenge looks absolutely yummy! I can’t wait to get started.

All your ideas are incredibly helpful.
Your fabrics are gorgeous. I hope you keep designing.
I’m looking forward to the challenge and I’m hoping to join the bom too. You are a lovely inspiration!
I love this video! so many ideas for quilting in general and the diagrams are super helpful. Thank you and can't wait to see the challenge panel.
Thanks for the tips. Was looking to see if you had sheets of the diagrams that you were showing. I had a great idea for them to practice
Love it. Luxe is my fav. Gorgeous
Great information Angela, thanks so much!!!

Thank you from Ohio!

I love watching your quilting videos. It's given me the courage to try new things. Thanks for the great ideas for quilting sampler blocks. Do you have any suggestions for quilting a sawtooth star block?
Is it possible to download and print your full quilt quilting diagrams?
Are the diagrams going to be available to purchase or download?
Love your chats. Would you ship to South Africa and if not would I be able to purchase the pattern only?

❤️❤️❤️ the sneak peeks!
Great videos! Hello from Billings MT

Hi Angela, i have never done Free motion quilting before, can you suggest some beginner videos, tips and ticks please
Angela, for the next Challenge, could you also offer Aurifil thread ? For the life of me, I just can’t get the tension right or stable with Glide !
After the sandwiching do I have to sew all around the edge of the quilt first. If so, in which order would you do it

Do you stabilise your quilt before quilting each block ? I mean straight stitch around each block first?
You talked about the next quilting challenge, how would I find more info on this? And do you ship to Australia 🇦🇺?
She does ship to Australia, I got one of her challenge panels, the postage, however, was really high...can't justify it!!!
@@rashmivij4390 ok, good to know. Thank you 😊
This is very pretty, veeeery pretty but it's too much quilting for me. I like my quilts fluffy. But it's very pretty 😁
Sew inspiring! ✂️🪡🧵🌸💕
would also like to have the pattern only....live in germany and it is not affordable to pay the kit regarding the postage....
Was there a handout for this tutorial? Did I miss something?
I want to do this
Again thanks
Did you ditch stitch all the seams?
Is this all continuous?
Clam shells????

Love all the suggestions this week! All the new stuff coming up is so exciting!! Thank you so much Angela!!
