Wrong a business owner can schedule you 70 hours the first week and three days the next, essentially cheating the employee out of that overtime pay.

This video is complete BS. 1:10 clearly explains that the worker would not get paid the additional 5 hours as overtime, so project 2025 eliminates overtime pay.

This video literally describes how project 2025 would allow employers to not pay their employees for working over 40 hours per week 😂 so the working class can be put under more workload and stress for a week while the rich employers dont have to pay them extra for it

This is BS. It's just a way to weasel out of paying overtime.

That is reducing overtime. This deserves at least a "Kind of"

How can you say this when it gives them, the power to make you work more hours and the ability to rig the hours, so if you work 45 hours the first week and 35 the next, you will not be paid the 5 hours of overtime the first week. Double talk you spread.

The tactic being used by this disinformation vid is to create a false dichotomy narrative ie "no overtime" vs. "flexible overtime." Virtually no one is saying "overtime is being eliminated." Instead it's that this provision would open the door to predatory scheduling whereby employers would be in a position to coerce employees into waiving their overtime by accepting this abusive practice as a condition of employment. It effectively unravels the protections from the New Deal that created America's middle class.

It also means no consideration for your personal life , when you need to pick up you kinds from school does not matter to them. I get to schedule my hours this mean your work hours are going to be quit erratic. Not good for healthy family dynamics, very anti family.

    That is eliminating overtime.

Effectively yes since it puts employers in a position to make waiving overtime a condition of employment. What is not mentioned is that Project 2025 also allows hours to accumulate over a month instead of 2 weeks. And it gives employers the ability to offer employees the option to waive overtime altogether in exchange for "predictive scheduling." Americans are entitled to a 40 hour work week. That's part of having a middle class. Special interests have been trying to unravel the New Deal since it was passed in 1933, and now that the nation is more divided than it has been in 150 years this is the opportunity of a lifetime for those interests to see their efforts to fruition.

Lol. The 45/35 example at the end directly illustrates the elimination of overtime. Worker earns less, businesses pay less via some cunning shell game with hours and redefining of pay intervals. 😩
Sleeping a full 24 hours and then going without any for three days is not the same thing as getting a proper eight per night.

It doesn't eliminate it but it makes it easier for corporations to cheat workers out of overtime. They are walking a really fine linein their attempt to explain this proposed policy.

So verify basically verified that project 2025 indeed will basically eliminate overtime 😂.

Also, if you take a job for 40 hours a week. You have to work your 40 hours a week, if you continuously don't meet your 40 hours they can fire you. Employees do not get that kind of flexibility. We don't set how many hours we work per week at the minimum

Trump recently stated how he would propose “no tax on overtime” while at the same time his cronies writing the very document he’s claiming ignorance about is trying to regulate labor rules on how overtime would be issued. It’s all a game.

Then you will get 40 hrs a week and not a second more, unless perhaps someone decides to pay me for my time PERIOD

They are just playing with the number... What happens if an employee works a whole month overtime then what? Going to take a whole days wages away, the work will lose all the time
