The smoke detector metronome keeping pace is classic now. Your musicality is always on point homie. Like you said, having that understanding of chords and where to go on the scale is what makes it pleasing to listen to.
You can use your MPC 3000 as the sequencer. Connect the Midi out from ASR 10 to Midi in on MPC 3000. Then connect Midi thru from MPC 3000 to ASR 10 Midi in
This was my thought process from the jump when I started using splice in 2020... I never wanted to just use loops as is... Always have to chop and manipulate with effects... And still make it sound melodically streamlined and cohesive
Nice Video. I know people (Me being One of them) that would kill for an Ensoniq ASR. I have seen them going for $900-$1200 now. I've learned my lesson on keeping my old gear because those sounds will come back.
Be very careful my brother. I have an ASR 10. It's about 20 years old... I turned it on last summer and there was nothing on it's display except an Error code. I was like "wtf ?" It wouldn't do anything. I opened it up to find the power supply was done. I mean rotting/ melting. I had to remove it's power supply by literally taking the entire keyboard apart. I luckily found an ex employee of Ensoniq that rebuilds them. I had to ship him my old power supply and he shipped it back fully restored. Them I had to install it and rebuild my entire ASR 10 so be careful. If you buy one. Purchase it from a reputable vintage keyboard store. At least then you have some protection.
Aye man how can I copyright this beat so I can collect publishing on this joint. Trynna test my diddy music business techniques to see if it’s gon work or not lol. In other words. Dope joint!
