We don't only buy and rescue wild horses! We also raise some amazing Registered Quarter Horses (AQHA) Meet our registered horses! Which on is your favorite?
My vote would be to keep Golden 66 a stallion. I can only imagine what you'd end up with having him breed mares out of 66! And as far as breeding Chipper one last time, my vote is no. She's in great shape, but at her age that would take a lot out of her at this stage of her life. But that's just my thoughts and they are your horses.
Yes Chipper is 20 years old but just a little FYI Secretariats Dam was right about the same age when she faoled him and look what he turned out to be, the Greatest Race Horse to set foot on a Racetrack. His record hasn't been beaten yet. I believe her name was Something Royal.
I agree, keep Golden 66 a stallion when he grows up and with the handling and work you guys do and gets past being a colt he will be an absolute stunner and throw some amazing foals
@@calgal7828 this is true. It's better to leave her as a saddle horse and let the kids learn to ride and Tack and groom horses, she has a gentle way the kids.
Beautiful and I think your going to Colorado they have awesome horses 🐎 I miss not having a horse. Broken 💔 in Florida . maybe when I am ready you will have something that would work for me.. watching you videos gives me my horse fix for the day
Beautiful horses! Love Penny and Gold 66. Lovely dispositions and great depth of hip. Correct legs too! Actually, I really liked them all. Chipper is a fine horse too. What a beautiful bay! Obviously no one has told her she is 20. What a blessing to have a stallion of the quality of 66. Nice progeny! I pray your blessings will continue!🕊️
I love your registered horses. With the breeding of the Martin quarter horses I would certainly keep him. Using him to cross 66 should be a great combination.!! Great job!
Back in the 60’ s had the pleasure of seeing two champion quarter horses in Super Charge and Super Arrow owned by Mr.Harvey Peltier. That was something I’ll never forget..
Beautiful registered horses! Would love to have one of Chippers foals! Thank you for sharing your love of faith, family, friends and farm. I've loved horses all my life. Wonderful that yall help so many horses/donkeys! Beautiful family!
You are very welcome! I enjoy all your videos! I also love your rescue horses and that your videos are God filled and kid friendly! Have a blessed day!
Gold 66 has a great confirmation he has a beautiful eye. Great head if his pedigree and temperament meet stallion standards. Keep him a stud his cold will cross great with roan bred mares.
A treat to see yr quarter horses-66 is really WILD ! So so laid back zz+ gentle. KI love that they live out in a herd-dont see that so much these days.i tried to write their blood lines down but it looks like a bit iv a spider's web.. GREAT news that U dont need a shòulder Op Alleñ , but takè it easi noñè th ĺèss..😊💜🇿🇦
So Very Glad I came across this channel. Your horses are just Beautiful & the way Blake handles them is just Phenomenal. Thanx For Sharing Your Family &Farm with Us All !!
LOVE All your Quarter Horses, both of the yearling are going to turn out to be wonderful! Quarter Horses were my 1st love!!! Keep Gold 66 as a stud for sure!! Alan you did a very nice video!!!
Those driftwood lines sure produce some fantastic family horses(meaning they are just good bombproof horses) I don’t blame you trying to get one more foal out of her. Nice remuda you have there!
The dark brown mare is beautiful. All of your registered horses are wonderful. The palomino is wonderful also. I remember where he came from. Can’t wait for y’all to go back to the ranch.
I'm very glad you don't need surgery! Your horses are beautiful. I love 66. I grew up watching westerns and loving horses- of course Trigger was my favorite.😊 Had horses when I was younger, now I like to paint them. Love watching your channel, brings back memories. God bless you and your family.🙏
66 is such a beautiful stallion, kind, gentle and stunning to look at. I loved his story and am so glad he didn't get gelded. ALL your horses are so beautiful, colours are just amazing, I just can't pick a favourite among them 🐎❤️..... maybe Chipper, so gorgeous!!
Keep it as a Stallion. That's one of the two from Martin Quarter horses from Bayfield Colorado is it ? Nice horses you have Allen and your family. Love the Videos. Have a good one.
So happy your not having to have surgery. Surgery is never fun. YOU BE GOOD TO YOU & KEEP YOUR CINCHES OILED. You've got a very nice group of registered horses there. Wish I was In the positions to have a horse, I'd come to you to get one.
You said you didn’t understand how Lex had a blue roan. In color genetics, you go back ten generations on both sides. There is a blue roan in there somewhere.
Thank you so much for showing us a video of your registered quarter horses. I myself had quarter horses and they're the best to have they become part of your family as yours have. They are all BEAUTIFUL 😍. Please keep the young Palomino a stud that would be the best thing to do for him and you to keep your registered quarter horse family going! Love from Northern California Leanne
I love paints. Wish I could get a paint but because of finance an health, there's no way. Can mean I can't check them out on your channel and other you tubers. Love your channel. Ty
My vote would be to keep "Gold 66" as a stallion as well. He is BEAUTIFUL and well mannered and would be a great breeder. I just have a feeling you would later regret if you chose not to. Just my 2 cents on that! Lol. LOVE watching y'all's videos and seeing your horses. Glad y'all came across my news feed so I could subscribe and keep watching!
Happy to hear ..no surgery! God's looking after you Buddy. Love your registered horses! Do you still have Cherry Twist? Really interested in how she is doing. Can't get over how much Blake looks like your brother! Good looks run in the family. Hope all goes well while the girls are away..I'll be sure to try out the McAlan! Thanks for the tip! Thanks for sharing, have a fabulous day! See you tomorrow!
I have often thought of the couple that you bought Gold 66 from and wondered if they have a plan for the ranch and horses that they worked so hard to make the best bloodline from all their lives. I can't wait for the video of you going back. If I remember correctly, you left some 66 there.💖
Thanks for your comment. After reading your comment, I remember the ranch and couple also! Has my wheels turning about them also now. The unknown.......lol
I would keep him a stud. Especially since he is papered. Like you said, you can breed him to 66’s daughters plus, you could get a stud fee to breed outside mares. Especially mares that are registered also. Every penny counts. Gild him and he’s just another horse and his bloodline stops. If you don’t keep him on the farm, you’ll get a bigger check selling him as a registered stud than as a gilding with useless papers. You know all that already and this is just one old cowboys opinion. I been in the horse business since 1968 and started working horses as a kid in the 50’s. I took my grandfather’s farm that was homesteaded in 1889, from 280 acres and expanded it into three different farms. Our farm now consists of 1750 acres in Missouri, 1560 acres in northwest Oklahoma and the old homestead is now 450 acres in northeast Oklahoma. We raise Quarter Horses, quarter Arabs and Morgan horses plus shorthorns, beef master and bison/Brahma crosses. Stumbled on your channel and really enjoy what you were doing with those Indian ponies. I raised my kids the way I was and you are raising your kids and by experience I can tell your kids will be great people. God first always. Your Blake reminds me of my grandsons and the love they have for horses and animals in general. Our legacy is in our children and grandchildren and how they turn out when they are grown. I can say, you and I will leave a wonderful legacy. Stay safe and don’t squat with your spurs on.
A lot of people keep a junior stallion just so they can cross their senior stallion’s get with the next main bloodlines they want to bring in. Gold 66 has a lovely head and good conformation and bloodlines and so long as his temperament remains good I think he would be a great one to keep a stud. It would be great to get a baby to keep out of Chipper to keep your grandfather’s line going. She is healthy so hopefully she will take and not reabsorb. For Blake about horse color and bay: Agouti is a gene that brings most of the black color to the ‘points,’ mane/tail/legs, so a bay horse is genetically a black horse plus agouti. For each gene pair a horse can only pass along one. Lex was able to have a blue roan because she must have 1 agouti gene and 1 not-agouti and she must have passed the not-agouti along which made the foal black. Then 66 passed a roan gene that turned black to blue roan. Hope this helps! I will put a link in another comment if I can to a website where you can plug in the sire and dam’s color and get percentages of foal color. ☺️ Best wishes always, Leslie
My quarter horses were of “Little Joe jr; Poco bueno. My Appaloosas were out of Joker B; Prince Plaudett. I had a granddaughter of Joker B; Daughter to Prince Plaudett. But I also had draft; Belgians; Percherons. Used a lot everything.

@@sshepard5222 I totally agree. Can you just imagine the foals Gold 66 and Penny would have? After all 66 is Penny's sire and she's a beautiful filly.
@@elizabethjanik510 It is not in the best interest of the mare at her age.
@@calgal7828 this is true. It's better to leave her as a saddle horse and let the kids learn to ride and Tack and groom horses, she has a gentle way the kids.
66 is SO pretty! Wow! Bet he throws great foals!
Nice little palomino filly..

The Roan ‘s baby looks like he/she has wings on his butt ..... !! Lol
He would be an awesome stud for all of 66s daughters

Love your herd! I’d keep the palomino colt a stud, he just needs to learn manners like your other one has.
