Aw, so happy you feel that way!
Swedish is like Icelandic but cool in its own way. Languages are so unique and individual that you can't really say which one is better. Icelandic sounds sweet and sometimes like wind or erupts like volcano. Swedish is melodic with its tones and it sounds playful. Damn I must learn at least the basics.
Jag äter köttbullar
Beautifully said!
@@FunSwedish can you do a video on words phrases that mean the same but when to use them . I noticed you used jag gillar dig for i like you but before this I always practiced jag tycker om dig
@@adamthrift2525 yes, great idea. We can do that. "Jag gillar dig" and "jag tycker om dig" can be used interchangeably 🙂
Tack så mycket🙏🏻 kram från Tyskland❤
Tack!
I like that: learning in a fun way. Thank you for that video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I screamed and fangirled hard when Agnetha and Benny showed up
😁😁
Oh my goodness! When I first learned hon and han, I used Han Solo, too! And in English (in the US, at least), people use the term "Hon" as short for "Honey" when used as a nickname. "Hey, Hon...can you take out the garbage today?" It's often used to refer to a woman (like maybe a waitress)... which may or may not be rude (it's expected in the south). Anyway, I think of Han Solo and calling a woman Hon to keep it straight.
Great! That is also a great way to remember :D
That’s exactly how I remember them too!!! I’m from California, and we use “hon” all the time!
I absolutely love Swedish ❤️🇸🇪❤️ my favourite german language. I am a Czech/Romanian (My native is czech, but i speak romanian too)
Fun fact: The pronoun I in Czech is "Já" which is pronounced same as the swedish Jag :D
for all german speakers, I always think of „Hahn“ (male version of a chicken) to distinguish between han och hon
Great mental trick! 😁
Especially because Huhn is to me mostly the female chicken in german so Hahn (male chicken) is han and Huhn (female chicken) is hon haha
tack så mycketit it was really helpful
Tack så jättemycket 💐💐😍😍👍👍
Alltid så tydlig och rolig ! Vi gillar dig 💙💛

My mom is swedish but I Don’t speak the language. I’ve been going to Sweden and staying with my family now in the summers, but just start studying Swedish.
My family is from Skåne.
When you say I like you, I’ve been taught Jag tycker om du. Yours is different. What’s the difference?
Jag tycker om dig works as well!
They are exactly the same. Just a variation.
Hello, thanks for the video. I am from Spain and i have started to learn swedish two weeks ago. I like your video very much, very well explained. I have just subscribed to follow you. Thanks a lot.

Happy to hear that!
I like this video was very explained on every detail, which is excellent. Like in English in Spanish we refer to / I / equals to /Yo /Jag /or the first person singular, a subject or any theme your talk about will be the subject. The 2nd person You (the listner) /du/, The 3rd. Person, is the topic or theme anything you refer to while in conversation. I was wandering about the formal you/ usted/ like you explained; the British refers to their king the same way, very clear too good video, tack, hejda, gracias, nos vemos, pronto, Wilfredo de Puerto Rico.
The formal "usted" is "Ni" but it is rarely used these days. Unless you are meeting the king very frequently.
But it used to be as common as the Spanish "Usted" before the "du reformen".
Hi my teacher ilove you
Good
thx for lessons it helps a lot. i wanna ask how many time tenses are there in Swedish ?
Tillslut Tack TMC 🌲 Explanation
Du tu Eres TaiduTiger 🌹 Liebe
Tack mycket. Jag gillar Joey Tempest. I start to learn Svenska and I like it. 🙏🙏🙏
Varsågod :)
English is not lazy, it's a pragmatic language with a very pragmatic
grammar, I grew up speaking Spanish and then learned English at an early
age, the fact that in Spanish (as well as French, the other language I
speak) objects have gender is illogical, a table is a table, no gender
there
Tackar
Tack! 😍
I must confess,,,you are the best when it comes to us who are new in sweden.... I understand very clearly when you speak..... do u do private classes?
Happy you feel that way! We do offer private classes (and in group). Check out our website for more information elansutbildning.com/
I have the suspicion that this girl knows how to speak spanish as well, due to use of examples and the way she says "Jag" on how not to say Jag :P . This is the best channel for swedish
You would be correct on that suspicion 😁
Thank you for your lovely comment 😍
this was so helpful. gave me so much more insight into how to structure basic sentences on my own instead of memorizing basic phrases
Happy to hear! :)
I am learning Swedish and your videos help me a lot with it! Tack så mycket!☺️
When learning though, I am not sure when to use mitt, mina, min or din, ditt, dina, er, ert, era.
That's great! We have actually made a video about that too. Here it is ua-cam.com/video/Z6aN0qGvcvE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=FunSwedish
these videos help me more than sfi
Happy to hear you feel that way 😍 (but sad to hear that SFI doesn't help as much as they should) One day we will open our own SFI!
5:25 It reminds me of the Thai speaking intonation!
Aaaaah!! LOL!! Wow!! That’s exactly my trick for remembering Han! Han Solo!! Nice!
😬 :👏
Thanks !You make a easy way to learn and study. It helps me alot to study and yea! Grammae too. By the way,I love that "Dom Dom Dom".
Glad to hear that we make it easier to learn and study Swedish! ❤ Haha, happy you liked my "dom dom dom" song. It was very improvised 😅
Swedish is a little lazy using den and det for both the subject and object pronouns. Haha.
Nice video. Tack så mycket
Haha, true. Didn't mean to offend the English language ;)
Sorry, I was just being silly. I know you weren’t being rude in any way. I was just being daft.
Love your videos by the way.
Ne harika bir öğretmen..
great video! i've been studying sweedish for one month and this video was super helpful. also, you could've say the pronoun hen as "they/them" in english which the singular neutral pronoun

Åh, vad fint! Tack så mycket för ditt pepp! Kärlek till Jönköping!
@@FunSwedish Inga problem!
This is a very helpful video. I've been learning Swedish on an app and some of these personal pronouns are confusing. I like the Hans Solo mnemonic to keep han and hon straight. Also on the app I'm using they use tycker om for like and you use gillat. I'm not sure I understand the difference yet. Still so much to learn about Swedish. Tack sa mycket. Great video!
What app are you using?
2:30 France also had a reform similar to this after the revolution, everyone should call other people “tu” (the equivalent of “du”) regardless of the hierarchy, which is called “tutoiement” in French. Before that, people higher up in the hierarchy should be called “vous” (a more formal way of saying “you” (“vous” is the plural form of “you”)), which is called “vouvoiement”, but this reform did not stay for very long since people were used to “vouvoiement”, and the first French republic was hated by everyone back in the time. Now we still call people higher up in the hierarchy “vous”, and people at the same place of lower “tu” as well as friends and family
Follow you from Paris
Comment ça va? :)
Ja gillar dig❤
I thought I knew all the pronouns, but still opened the video. Oh how glad I am that I did! I would certainly adress the king with "du" otherwise!
Now I understand why the guy in duolingo course "var nervös i går eftersom han skulle träffa kungen". He didn't watch this video and was afraid of adressing him inappropriately. ❤
Hahaha hope you meet him in real life someday so you can put in practice your new acquired skills :)
Great video. Thank you for breaking it down so easily. I have a question -> Er is plural object pronoun. And also Singular possessive pronoun (with era as plural form). This is a bit confusing. Can you explain please.
Another great video - I can almost forgive you for using an American flag when speaking about “in English” 🇬🇧😀
Haha, we will tell the editor but you will see that we also use other flags that represents the English-speaking world in other videos to compensate ;)
I watched a Fun Swedish UA-cam video where you explained the origin of the Swedish word, "Skål"; but I can't remember which one it was. Can you please tell which Fun Swedish UA-cam video it was?
You should be able to find it in our video called "Learn Swedish basic phrases - 16 Swedish words and phrases you need to communicate in Swedish!".
We talk about skål the last minute (number 16). Here is the link to that video ua-cam.com/video/do5lxbt68UE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=FunSwedish
É bem mais fácil que em português. Temos dois casos de pronomes pessoais: Caso Reto e Caso Oblíquo. Muita gente usa errado pois é complicado.
Jag gillar den här video
Kul att höra :)
I'm on my dads account but this was very helpful as a finn I have a Swedish test tomorrow, ty!
Lycka till! Good luck with your exam!
I started learning Sweedish yesterday from Duolingo and frankly its hard😭 even tho it can be compared to english,it is a tricky language, that you gotta be careful with. Anyway Thank you for helping ❤
Tack så micket

Jag gillar din videon!!
es correcto?is it correct?
Tack så mycket! Well done , almost "Jag gillar din video". 🙂😍

Had to watch it 3 times 😅
That´s the great thing about UA-cam lessons. You can watch it a 100 times if you want to!
Is Duolingo a good app to use for learning Swedish? If not, where else can I learn it along with this channel ?
It is if it's basic swedish but I found some mistakes on duolingo app before but nonetheless, it still helped me when I was still learning. I also have a channel where I share some lessons about swedish. 👍💖

very useful.. please add the subtitles ?????
Will try :)
I like class
Glad to hear that!
So, henne can be the object for hon and hen???
Hi, do Swedish language have a vowel reduction rule, or all is as simple as pronounced? Tack for att du svarade mig, hejda.
There a lots of wierd things we do with our vowels 😅.
From the difference between long and short vowel... to lots of reductions on everyday spoken Swedish 😊
Jag gillar dig
Tack!
I love this video! What about this sentence: Jag tycker om att äta jordgubbar / Jag gillar att äta jordgubbar - I like to eat strawberry.
Tycker om/gillar. Do they mean same thing or different?
So happy to hear! Thanks for following us. Yes, they mean the same thing and can be used interchangably :)
