It's really good to go back to basics once in a while, as this is (probably) the first kick a beginner will learn. Also the different variation you performed is really helpful even to an Advanced pupil, such as myself (red-black belt 1st gup). I hope you'll make more of these tutorials, and maybe one day even patterns ☺️
It's good to revisit the technical aspects of this kick even though I have performed it thousands of times. I still got something out of this. Thanks .
GNT the push kick is really one of the most basic kicks and you presented it in an easy and comprehensive way... Thank you sooooooooo much... Really... It helped a lot :)
Cool! As a beginner I don't always realise how versatile can such a seemingly simple technique be, and how many traps there are. Thanks for showing the in-fight scenarios in particular. GNT always delivering high quality material :)
Another basic move that is incredibly useful, when done/used properly. Awesome tutorial, this is one of my favourite things to use, thanks for your insight on it.
As someone who is 5'6" (167cm) this kick is the most frustrating to deal with if I'm sparring someone over 6' (183cm) who has the patience and timing to use it. It's very hard for me to get around. I have a pretty good pushing kick, but this guide showed me some things that might help me diagnose what's going on with some of my students, especially why they push themselves back (regarding balance at the beginning of this video). I guess that means I didn't know the push kick as well as I had thought. Even as a black belt, I find I learn new things about the basic techniques all the time. Thanks for posting this.
Another video which is bang on, fair play. Good breakdown and a killer of a kick if your opponent runs at you. I see so many get dropped with this kick in point and continuous fighting.
This is one of my favorite kicks in my toolbox. Use this kick to defend against double/triple to break their momentum. keep the lessons coming. Another great video that hits all the key points.
I like this kick a lot when prepared by a kick to the inside of the thigh or in a real fight to the knee and afterwards do the Teep. But in general it is just very versatile in pretty much every situation. Great video as usual :)
Excellent consideration .. every version is useful in a different situation. I didn't really think there were soo many versions of this kick. Thank you for this video
Every time I watch one of your tutorials I do the breakdowns with you (the ones I can) and I found this very helpful. Just the small lean you explained has helped me make my Teep more effective because of better balance. Thanks GNT, and stay awesome! :)
I find myself using the front snap/push kick (along with the lead leg side kick) more and more nowadays just for the versatility of the kick itself. It's a great technique to have perfected in your arsenal.
Great video for all that are just starting out and need to know the value of a real front kick with also the street tips. The one thing you should cover (unless you already have) is the stopping power one gets from kicking a 300 lb sand bag.
Yeah...😃 I like that kick. It's very useful in the fight. Ap-chagi is for me the most universal kick in mma and taekwondo. Nice tips GNT. Looking forward to next videos. Greetings from Poland Team GNT👊
Great kick for self defense. For tkd sparring I have seen it quickly end a match. My favorite way to use it is push kick, back quick, then roundhouse any opening for maximum points.
Cool! I'll usually practice with a switch kick due to noticing it having more power. But I haven't trained for a while with it so I'll have to work on my balance and stretching. Thanks again gnt!
I use this all the time. Hell I think I use it more than the jab, I particularly love using it to stop my opponent from kicking me, especially spinning kicks
One of the black belts I used to train with was notorious for this type of kick, used to catch me off guard every time. That said, I used it a lot too and it's surprising just how effective it is.
Another kick to work on. I love challenges such as this. One thing, I need to gain flexibility. Training on that every day. 👊🙏 Great vid. Merci pour les conseils. 😊
many people things that this kick (ap chagui) is not usefull but i thing is just a know how to use it , and today you have teach it well , thanks 👊 taekwon ...
Jacob Arrowood That is actually very hard to do. That's why I'm asking GNT to show me a step by step tutorial. But thnx any way coz u did give me an Idea in how to get out of that kind of situation.
What I learnt in Muay Thai is as soon as he gets the kick (because then if he's good he'll get a good grip), spin around and either throw a leg/body kick or throw a back hook (with the back of your palm where your knuckles are).
This is a very fun kick to use on people
John Moore yes! most ppl dont expect the basics in a Fight. we must sharp the basics
:D
One of my favorite kicks, simple and effective. Cheers!
Cool and No problem :)

I'm glad you thought so and I will do. no pattern videos though unfortunately.
I use this kick a lot in sparring and it's really good!
aden nguyen I know right. I usually add a bit of extra power to not only push back the opponent and knock him down, but to cause a bit of damage.
Awesome :)
It's so generous of you to be helping so many people like this for free.
:D
I mostly learn kicks, flips and many more from you, this is one of the best tutorials. Team GNT!

This kick is like a mix between a front kick and a right jab! It's so cool!
A bit different.
It's good to revisit the technical aspects of this kick even though I have performed it thousands of times. I still got something out of this. Thanks .
Cool and No problem :)
You're the most inspiring man for martial I've ever watched
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)

Perfect form. The slight lean and all...just perfect.
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
Another video which is bang on, fair play. Good breakdown and a killer of a kick if your opponent runs at you. I see so many get dropped with this kick in point and continuous fighting.
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)

this is one of my favorite kicks. great for distance management in my opinion.
Agreed! :)
Simple and devastating. Kind of surprised that there aren't many more tutorials out there
True and there should be yea but hopefully this one will be enough :)
This is one of my favorite kicks in my toolbox. Use this kick to defend against double/triple to break their momentum. keep the lessons coming. Another great video that hits all the key points.
Cool and I will do my best to :)
Another great basic tutorial.
This can be useful in sparring too, particularly with the front leg. It's fast and can be used to push an opponent back.
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
I've always liked the lead leg version but I have used the rear leg as well. Solid work as always. :)
Cool and No problem :)

This kick is something that continues to help out in tough situations.
Awesome :)
This kick is so simple but effective, therefore one of my favourites
Agreed and cool :)
originally I didn't like this kick, but over the last year or so i've used it more and more. as all-ways great video and attention to detail.
Cool and I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
You helped me so much to know the negative points in this kick. Thank you.
Cool and No problem :)
I find myself using the front snap/push kick (along with the lead leg side kick) more and more nowadays just for the versatility of the kick itself. It's a great technique to have perfected in your arsenal.
I'm glad you think so :)
Perhaps quite overlooked, but incredibly effective when technique is learnt right. Thanks for another precise and detailed breakdown GNT! :)
I agree and No problem :)
even on basic kicks these videos teach me something. the entire time that I have been training i haven't seen the front foot pivot
I'm glad it helped :)
The best kick combined with multiple punches!
This kick is simple but so effective, also hard to block usually, detailed tutorial👌
Agreed and Thank you :)
Thanks GNT used it in a sparing match and knocked my opponent over twice this is now my favorite kick
Nice tutorial. This is my favorite kick for sparring. Easy to slip in between a weak guard.
Thank you and I'm glad you like it :)

Your tutorials are becoming much more smooth and the music is a nice add. Any chance of a turning/spinning axe kick tutorial.
I appreciate you saying that and maybe in the future :)
I used this kick in the past in street fights,it's amazing, especially with shoes on,only self defense obviously
Love the kick. Very powerful and very fast. Keep the videos coming.👍🏼👍🏼

One of the most useful moves to use in sparring
I agree :)
Working the basics is a must
Of course :)
This is the first kick we learn at my school, but we don't break it down as much as this. I had to learn the hip thrust on my own.
Cool and i'm glad you liked the break down :)
Cool! I'll usually practice with a switch kick due to noticing it having more power. But I haven't trained for a while with it so I'll have to work on my balance and stretching. Thanks again gnt!
Nice and No problem :)
Excellent tutorial on what would be a great kick for self defence
I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
good tips to keep in mind ! great video I I never thought about the fact that using the heel would need more flexibility
Thank you and it does.
A heel to the heart can kill a man. very powerful strike
I use this all the time. Hell I think I use it more than the jab, I particularly love using it to stop my opponent from kicking me, especially spinning kicks
Awesome :)
this is a very effective kick in kickboxing and with this tutorial mine will be even better
For sure and I appreciate you saying that. Thank you :)
One of the black belts I used to train with was notorious for this type of kick, used to catch me off guard every time. That said, I used it a lot too and it's surprising just how effective it is.
Cool :)
I love this kick I sometimes fake a roundhouse then perform the front kick :D really effective but generates less power !
If it works for you :D
Thanks dude!! This is a good beginner's kick!! See ya tomorrow!!! LIKED!!!
No problem and I'm glad you liked it :)
Another kick to work on. I love challenges such as this. One thing, I need to gain flexibility. Training on that every day. 👊🙏 Great vid. Merci pour les conseils. 😊

Pacman infinity Jump and kick with the other leg.

Will do in the future and I'm glad you thought so :)
What I learnt in Muay Thai is as soon as he gets the kick (because then if he's good he'll get a good grip), spin around and either throw a leg/body kick or throw a back hook (with the back of your palm where your knuckles are).
@@pacmaninfinity4015 roll the other way like Ferguson does
My first kick :)
:D
This and a low kick are propably the only kicks I'd use in a self-defence situation.
Cool :)
Very powerful kick. Now i also can do it.
I think it's also good when you are a bit surrounded by multiple people because it can make a short window for you to run through
So happy your doing daily uploads
