- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new Christmas decorate with me! But not your ordinary decorate with me, this is better! haha I hopped out of the box for this one and did a pretty cool (easy, subjective) DIY! A diy stocking holder for those of us without fireplaces!! Influencers act all wild like we're going to spend $44 on a branch. lol I love the way this turned out! I decorated my TV - another first for me!! I love the way it turned out (at the end of the video with all ornament garland!) and I also put together a wrapping station!! YES I know it is super cool and totally functional, and slightly heavy. haha And as if that's not enough I put together three treats to share with you. You know I love to overload my videos with a ton of content lol I made some creamy crockpot hot cocoa, with a hot cocoa treat board, then little debbie christmas tree cake balls, and some popcorn christmas crunch! It all turned out great and I'm so glad you hung out with me through it all!

I love seeing your whole family decorating the tree. I find it odd in all these Christmas decorating videos that the mom does it all.
When I was a kid, decorating the tree was a family affair. They weren’t the perfect of trees but I still have the memories. Every year my mom would say, this is the best tree yet. ❤

You can also use your toilet paper rolls to hold your wrapping paper. Just cut it so you can spread it open.
That tape that comes with that dispenser actually sucks :( i happen to know because i bought thee same one. Hopefully you have better luck! the tape holder is cute though.

December 20th is my mom's birthday
Our go to movie that we start off the season with is Miracle on 34th Street(1995 version), on Thanksgiving day! Love White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life, plus so many more. Oh and Mr Krueger's Christmas with Jimmy Stewart. But I refuse to watch A Christmas Story ever again! It is absolutely horrible! I remember watching it when it first came out and walked away saying, "WHAT did THAT have to do with Christmas??!" Then I got a job in a children's department store and the lady in the shoe department played that dang movie over and over, about a million times, for the kids. One day, I snuck in the storeroom and hid the movie. I know, not nice, probably got coal that year, but at least I didn't have to watch it again!
Oh Christmas traditions for my family , is on Christmas Eve We watch Christmas Story , eat snacks ,celebrate the birth of Jesus at 12 am

Had to pause it midway during decorating the Christmas tree to share my thought about being a mother.
Everyone besides Kim was wearing a festive outfit, and Kim was the one to take a family photo of everyone decorating the tree. Everyone besides herself.
Mothers do so much to make sure everyone is involved and happy that so often we forget about ourselves.

I am 73 and will never understand decorating for Christmas before you have celebrated Thanksgiving. No fall and turkey decorations around while eating your dinner on Thanksgiving? Makes me very sad 😢
The influencers are just trying to be the “first” to decorate for Christmas for the clicks and views. I did not watch those videos that came out around Halloween; just too early. And then they are tired of the decorations and take them down Christmas Day.
I love that everyone is having fun decorating the tree.
I remember as a kid sometime in late summer or early fall they would always play the Wizard of Oz on TV, our family would pop popcorn and and watch it together.

If you use the immersion blender in that cocoa if it happens again, it revives it and add some extra airiness to it too. Love Eleanor's little Christmas dress! And "Hiiii" back to little Wolfgang!!

I loved hearing Wolfgang say "hi" in the voiceover, so cute ❤ We had a lot of Christmas traditions when I was little, but we don't really have any now, except decorate the tree and elf 🙄 John was saying that even when the kids are older (they're the same age as Avalina and Eleanor) that he still wants to do the elf, and I'm just thinking "easy for you to say you're not the one that's up late trying to find places for it" lol.

Our traditions have changed over the years as the kiddos got older and moved out to start their own with their families. We do the Saran Wrap ball ( always good for a lot of laughs), we do a Christmas brunch, we do a Christmas piniata for the little grandkids. I LOVE THe Christmas CHronicles ,we watch it every year! I also make the same punch every year and it's so simple but everyone loves it. A large jug of fruit punch. a bottle of ginger ale, a bag of frozen mixed berries and lots of ice!

Love your content. The TV rating system didn’t start until January 1, 1997 ,my youngest daughter turned 7 that day and my oldest daughter was 9 1/2. The law that passed to start the rating system was in December 1996. Up till then Christmas movies we’re believed to be movies for kids. Unless it had a R rating at the movie theaters. But you are right about how different movies were back then. I loved it and I still do. Lol

I’m wondering if you tie a rope or twine to each end of the log and hang it up that way, if that would work better?
Pastry chef here! Key to chocolate melts is small increments of heat and THOROUGHLY mixing in between! Like 30, 30, then 10 seconds at a time from there. Mix for longer than you even think because sometimes the heat is enough to melt the rest of the chocolate without overheating. If it is too hot, it also becomes too thick and seizes up. The chocolate should be warmed, not hot! Sometimes if it’s too hot, adding some unmelted chocolate can bring it back. But it is a pain in the you know what for sure! Sometimes adding coconut oil or a neutral oil, I like coconut bc its hard at room temp… can help with consistency! Hope this helps

My husband and I have felt that way about movies from our childhood as well. But I think many of them we watched the TV version when it was on that likely had the more questionable moments edited out.
I was just about to comment and tell you those off brand command hooks will take the paint off the walls until I saw the part where you said that. I learned the heard way too when it took the paint/stain off of my fire place last year 🤦🏻♀️

This will be my first year of putting up a Christmas tree after years of neglecting my holiday spirit. I’m so excited! And, for the first time ever, I bought pajamas for me and my dog child to wear on Christmas Eve. They don’t match, but I thought that might be taking it too far. Also, as a quick side note, I ate a small Christmas bulb when I was around Wolfgang’s age. This was pre-plastic when bulbs were thin glass, so I ended up having my very first ER visit to have tiny shards of glass removed from my gums. I also ate a Christmas bath bead. I don’t remember it, but my parents would tell me that story every year. I guess my lifelong obsession with Christmas candy started early. 😂
