  • This past year has taught me the The Real Cause of Unhealthy, Stagnant, Broken Hair and I wanted to share my experience in the hopes it will help you if you're suffering from the same issues. What no one tells you about why hair sometimes refuses to grow, breaks easily, and feels/looks unhealthy despite you doing everything you're supposed to do.

Hey beauty, this is my first time seeing this video. As a trainee trichologist I can tell you that sometimes your blood tests can fall within the “normal” range for health but not for hair health. For example, for ferritin (stored iron) we’d want to get your reading up to 70 if you’ve been noticing issues with your hair. Your result can be below 70 and still considered “healthy” by a doctor.

Crying is a good way to get rid of stress hormones..it literally washes them away. If you find it hard to express emotion like that even in private..watch a very sad movie or read a sad book..anything to help it along.

Agreed, a good cry really does the trick sometimes!

I have a bad habit of holding things in even and not embracing the feelings

@@NaptuRo90 me too! Still struggling with that. Grew up as the oldest child and caring for my younger siblings that I just got used to keeping things in. I don't want that to be my story and be the excuse I guess that I'm telling myself but It's just hard to express myself since its been my whole life of that

I think it has something to do with a 4 year cycle. Like 4 yrs. on and 4yrs. off. Hair is always growing. So it has something to do with the cycle. I believe when you are in this part of the cycle, moisture, protective styles, plus patience is the way to go.

I had a lot of shedding last year due to stress that I was suppressing and internalizing. I resumed my vitamins and the shedding stopped. I eventually cut my hair in January because all of my new growth was so healthy and my older hair was very scraggly. I could definitely see the difference in my hair as to when my positive changes affected my hair. I still take my vitamins, drink lots of water, eat well, sleep well, exercise and manage stress.

Hi:) I'm glad to hear something is working! It definitely is a process. I've been wanting to cut the scraggly parts too and restart somewhere. I wish you the best in your efforts!

I'm Eritrean too. when i was younger my hair was curly and soft, growing up it became dry and frizzy type 4b hair.
but after using gel it defines well :)

Cut a ripe tomato in half and rub it on your face. Will definitely help with the hyperpigmentation. Do this everyday or a minimal of 3 times a week. Rinse off once it has dried on your face for 30 minutes. Thank me later!
