I am attempting to use polurethane resin pieces for exterior work and had loads of advice, some stating not to use externally and others declaring it's fine if sprayed finished with a UV protector lacquer/ varnish. Then watched your video and wondering if coated and cured with UV resin might be a better alternative.
I can’t speak to anything besides UV resin because that’s all I’ve used, but the sign featured in this video has been hanging outside at our cottage for nearly two years through all Canadian seasons & weather and it looks the same as day 1!
Just a question though if you apply another layer of resin to the vinyl would you need it to have any exposure to the wood or could the vinyel cover the whole board
Hmmm good question! I think the edges of the vinyl would need to be covered so they don’t peel up. As long as you can overlap over the edges of the vinyl I think it should be fine 😊
Great video! I needed a quick tutorial on how to put resin on a sign for my son’s first birthday. This was a very concise video! 😊
I’m so glad you liked it! Thanks for watching and commenting 🥰
Great video
Easy and to the point
Thank you!
Love the stain colour you used! Using resin is such a great idea
Thank you! The resin makes it sooo shiny 🤩
This video just helped me make my buisness product thank you so much
So glad to hear that! Thanks for watching and commenting Emmanuel! 💖

@@ElizabethSparkles Thanks that's a great help, I am sure if I coated my items with a UV resin topcoat then it should be fine!
Definitely worth testing out on something small first just to be sure it will work with your items and the brand of resin you purchase 😊
