The Full Play Has Been Found: ua-cam.com/video/OJ_0BXhsVnA/v-deo.html For Context: A Church in Canada makes easter plays out of Movie characters (In this case The Avengers) . This Avengers one was deleted along with the rest recently (for some reason), and a few clips have been saved. These are all i have been able to find currently.
I sincerely hope that Jenny Nicholson has the originals and releases them in one way or another when she finishes the video. Even as a Christian I love these videos because they miss the mark so much is funny (and I love pop culture)
@@BiblicalTeachings well, they're not teaching it as gospel...as for putting someone besides Christ on a cross: that still happens a lot in movies when people die and lay down as if they're on a cross, or even just historical documentaries. Jesus wasn't the only person to be crucified, you know. I do think that there is a grain of truth in what u are saying, they definitely are disrespectful to the bible in a way. To say that it was "only His death that saves us", however, is in my opinion wrong. It is only through His grace that we are saved, through God's generosity. To say that God needed his son to die for that to happen would detract from his might. Thus, I treat the crucifixion as mostly symbolic, since Gods choices nearly always have a symbolic layer. (Which in this case would be: the act of enabling us to be saved not through our own doing but trough Him is given symbolic meaning through his death. To ask me what Jesus would've thought about this: I actually wrote something in another comment about this, I'll see if I can find it, but it basically comes down to the first sentence in this comment.
@@BiblicalTeachings 2nd comment, from Jenny's video (which I would still recommend), copied word for word: "I'm a Christian and I love these musicals (I've only seen the bits in this vid and the ones you shared on twitter). I really feel like this is a great way to get more people to look at christianity (although they sometimes go too far, which makes it a bit more funny but also makes me uncomfortable), I'd even go as far as to compare it to the use of miracles in the new testament (the apostles primarily used miracles to make people aware of the existence of christianity and their values). I also just love pop culture being mutilated to fit a specific narrative, I love to look for the origins of specific parts (like some clips in your video being plucked straight from the bible). Thanks for making this video and
So… the Natasha in this world faces people with two guns drawn at all times when telling them facts (0:13) but not when her ally is tortured to death. What did the red room teach her?!
This was one of the good parts since “It’s the end of the world(as we know it)” and whatever that “I get knocked down” song makes a great mashup Also I do know of the song but I’m not typing all those letters
Probably deleted because of copyright infringement laws. I am sure Disney has an issue with its characters being used this way - especially without permission! Imagine that you have written a book, or created a fictional Universe with amazing characters and doing so has provided a nice living for you. You make sure that all the characters, story themes are copyrighted, and if someone uses those characters without your permission, there is legal recourse to prevent that person or entity, in this case The Church of the Rock, Winnipeg. Bottom line. Church of the Rock Winnipeg stole from the copyright holders, in this case Disney. "Oh who cares! Disney is one of the richest media empires on Earth! How does this harm a corporate entity like that!?" That's not the point! Stealing is stealing! Or, is that particular commandment, "Thou shalt not steal" revoked just because a Christian Church is using it to spread its message. Stealing for Jesus? I am an Ex Christian, but during my religious journey, I was the Pastor of a small rural church in the middle of nowhere. Each Sunday we would sing worship songs that were written by musicians that made their living by writing and performing this music. As I was going through the overheads the songs were printed on, I noticed that the songs were copyrighted and had a code by the name of the song - CCLI and a number. I was curious as to what that meant. I looked it up. It means Christian Copyright Licensing International. It is an organization that churches pay a fee to in order to legally use the songs they use for worship. I brought this up to my Board. They were somewhat shocked to find out that, yes, even churches are not above Copyright laws. The CCLI fee was not very much, less than $50/year, if I recall. All it required was noting which songs were used, by what artist, and that artist would get a small cut. My Board agreed that this was the right thing to do. If I have to guess, Church of the Rock Winnipeg failed to even inquire if they could use characters owned by Disney to put on these plays. Even if they did, I doubt Disney would have allowed their characters to be used like this. Church of the Rock Winnipeg: anti LGBTQ. Disney: Pro LGBTQ rights. That alone would have shot down any hope of the Church of the Rock using these characters to spread their own message. Personally, even as an Atheist now, using characters such as Iron Man, Loki and whatever else to present the message of Christianity, is just wrong. You would never ever see this in a Catholic Church, or an Anglican Church. I would think Christians would be mortified by this.

I found an archive with them all
@@felicityf.7767 where? And can you show them / send a link?
I would pay a lot to watch this whole thing.
It’s on UA-cam 😂
@music1864me Unfortunately, not anymore. The Chruch removed not only this one but the rest of their plays from UA-cam.
Which fuckin sucks.@@isostormgamer5584 I'd love to watch these
This feels like a certain “type” of film my parents would have.
Kinda shocked they did a Black Sabbath song in a church play
To be fair, I always thought Black Sabbbath and Ozzy were pro-christian
Well it is iron man
I wish i could inject this into my veins
If I had a dollar for every time I said “wtf” I’d eat at the Cheesecake Factory all month long.
If bibleman had a 10$ dollar budget instead of a 5$ one

This is why you always need the one guy in the planning meeting to tell you all of the reasons that this was a bad idea.
I never knew Iron Man was Jesus Christ all along.
I think about this at least once a day
Iron Man did sacrifice his life in the actual MCU canon, (in “Endgame” in order to defeat Thanos), but not like this.

Also I do know of the song but I’m not typing all those letters
Why is Robin there?💀
and batman lmaorofl
Thank you for this
Why are Batman and Superman there
The outro: Huwaaaah
Amen
can’t you see you’re not making christianity better, you’re just making pop-culture worse
King of the hill?
And you're making Christianity worse in the process.
cant believe i found evan in the wild
kino
Thanks for putting us the map, Mark 🤣 #ChurchOfTheRock
Why, just why.
The funny part is that in the bible, the people crucifying christ were just doing the "good" thing. Dt 13:6.
One of the most cringe things I think I’ve seen a church do
Agreed
As a Christian, this is so embarrassing. Good grief.
This is amazing
Steve's hairline tho
Where the video where the church crucified Marty McFly on the clocktower ? lol
With all due respect.
Come and repent to Jesus Christ,
The Lord loves you ❤
Heh, protestants am I right?

Ma’am, this is Wendy’s.
Award for my favorite reply ever goes to this one
We are mortified by this
They aren't profiting and it more than likely falls under parody
I hate this.
Omg no
This is wrong. Making fun of the crucifixion of Christ is wrong. REPENT!!
This is art
It’s blasphemous and sacrilegious to those who understand what happened on that day
