- This compilation is about some of the best Formula cars (F1, IndyCar, CART, etc) I recorded during the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed. In particular the first 5 minutes are from the rainy and wet Sunday while the second part is all about Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Hope you like it!

I love the Honda badged Renault's on the Red Bull's xD
Not a lot of people like you for example, has realised that they replaced the renault engine with a custom fitted hond engine. This is because 1, the renault engine died, and 2, why would they replace it with another renault?
@@phrze well dont you chat some shit. They're obviously Renault V8s in the Red Bulls but maybe due to sponsorship reasons the livery has to have Honda branding.
The only thing they changed in that car is the livery.
@@phrze Honda is not gonna make a bespoke engine for a car that doesnt even race anymore, that shit aint cheap. It is a Renault engine, they detune them so they can last a long time.

The Penske is really on it. Those cars were really fast as well. I think we forget about CART/Indycar because the series has become spec for the most part but back then there were chassis and engine wars with Honda, Ford and Mercedes.
David Stone those CART machines were monsters, especially late 1990’s with 800+hp.
Now that's what you called F1 cars those sound can be heard miles away missed those old days.
The V6 Engines still can be heard from that far. The sound just doesn't sound as beautiful

Its the Penske PC23, which when fitted with its Mercedes-Benz 500I engine has 1024bhp, I think we'll let that one slip by

Probably the best looking f1 car ever built
That 2004 Ferrari is just as fast as today's cars too for being so simple and inexpensive in comparison. I chatted with a Ferrari mechanic and F1 engine builder at Ferrari Racing Days and he said the biggest difference is tires when comparing the 2004 car to today. This was in May of this year and he also knew at the that time that Ferrari had no chance with Vettel and that a driver change needed to be made at years end.
meh they were lighter and had traction control and over all more power that made up for the skinnier tires. Either way a 2004 with new tires or a 2018 car with the new 2019 engines and derestricted fuel flow/fuel capacity would probably give anything currently running quite the ass whooping
What driver change? If the story is true at all, surely a mechanic will see through it better than the head management :)

Ive been to quiet a lot of motor racing events over the years but a
decade or so ago watching the superleague formula cars with their V12s
at brands hatch. The noise of them cars was something else. Still cant
beat the Mazda 787B tho. :p
