Nice show again, lovely clubs, definitely switching to PXG for next set , or takomo or caley or I don't know we are being spoiled for choice lately and I love it , come on the newbies, keep them coming mate.
JPX hot metal pro kind of do the same thing, forgiving and high launching but look like a players club. Some real improvements in these players chunky clubs now
Gary beautiful looking clubs, I hit a older PXG and loved the feel it was nothing like how I thought it was going to feel. One problem I can see here is dispersion 167 to 186 that’s 19yds then the XP 197 that’s 30 yds, airmail mate!!! PS I’m up in West Yorkshire till 31st August if you still fancy a knock with me Gary?
Hi David, I’m leaving HGC at the end of ten month. It’s not public yet, it’s come very quick, so I’m so busy trying to fit all lessons owed in and stuff, I’m struggling for time.
@@garymartingolf Hi Gary no problem, wishing you well For the future. Keep in touch, if you find yourself in or around the Costa Blanca Spain give me a shout and I’ll meet up with you even if it’s just for a drink 🥃
They look much better, I wonder if the face can crack like if you hit a hidden rock. Do they have a warranty for the face? The other question is why the lofting? Isn’t that like lifted shoes? 😂 Enjoyed James’s video and this one very much. 👍👍👍
The lofting always raises eye brows, but the reason they’re able to loft clubs so strong these days is because the can get the launch through greater technology in the heads. You’ve given me a ground breaking idea! Modern loft and old club, and compare it to show the difference! Hopefully nobody poaches this 😮💨
Having watched this, plus James Robinson's "Black Ops" iron review, I fail to see why anybody wouldn't use these...apart from costwise! Great stuff, yet again, Gaz!
I think so yes, I think the lofts would have to be tweaked in my case. Maybe for someone with a slower swing, if their distance gaps drop in the longer irons, and XP could retain the correct gapping, if you know what I mean.
I have the GEN 2 0311 SGI irons, and I am ready to get to these for a smaller sole. The SGI was just to big. They were good but just not pleasing to look down at
I did like the look of the gen 6. I’ve not really had chance to put them side my side yet, but when I go to see Sam, I might do some head to heads to see what the difference really is ⛳️
Guy shot himself in foot basically admitted they reached the limit with irons now ,so when they fetch some out next year or year after that’s what’s point because they won’t be any better than these
Yet another new set of golf clubs I’m sure they could hold back on bringing out new clubs. Dose the standard golfer need to keep paying out for not much difference for the weekend golfer.
@@garymartingolf simple looking irons, PXG have that bolt and logo in the back, just looks ugly, like the top line, but not the back. Most major manufacturers look great
Fantastic review Gaz and how good do they look 🔥, fantastic video mate
I could definitely play the P! So much easier to hit than CB, and I didn’t loose any feel!
Those are the best looking irons PXG have made yet. I've never considered PXG before but the XP's could interest me next time 🤔🏌️
I would certainly try them, I can’t believe how good they felt for cavity irons.
Excellent review Gary
Thanks 👌🏼

Looking forward to seeing these in person
They’re very nice! 👌🏼
GEN7 looks really good. I did like the GEN6 being 2 tone and busy. These new ones look really good also.
JPX hot metal pro kind of do the same thing, forgiving and high launching but look like a players club. Some real improvements in these players chunky clubs now
I’ve not tried anything so big for along time, and I’m very surprised by the feel of them.

Great ! ⛳️
I like the PXG irons like these that don't have a bunch of those little screw in weights in the back. I feel like they would get loose on me
I agree I like the look way better like this. Less customizable maybe but cleaner
I prefer the old look, there was something very industrial about it and it was very different to anything else out there.

I have had a PXG club brake and it was super easy to get a replacement. Customer service was amazing can’t say enough good things about PXG. Service.

Great stuff, yet again, Gaz!
I’ve not even checked the prices yet, I’ll go have a look as they said the black ops was going to be good, but they couldn’t tell me the price.
My retirement present to myself next year😂
You’ll not be disappointed! Make sure you try them outside on grass if you can 😮💨
Big discount for veterans Look into it
Judging on your distances I'm thinking the gapping between the XP & P irons would be huge!
You might need two 4 irons or maybe even a 5 XP then a 4 P!

Great video , info Will be getting a set
You are a machine nice
So is this the best technology in golf irons or totally over hyped? I want to buy a set
I would always make your own opinion, but in my opinion, I don’t think you’ll find a more forgiving, powerful iron.
Toheed this might be a great set for your son 😁
Just for the nerds. Club face thickness,,50 thousands = 1.1 mms.
I'm sure its quoted as 1.24 mms on their data spec.
Were there any PXG fitters there on the day? Or was it just the sales guys?
Yes, but It wasn’t a fitting event, it was more a PROMO DAY, to share information on their new launching products.
The Golf Works irons are a good substitute if you only have $300
I’ll have a look for them, I can’t say I’ve heard of them. Not sure if they’re just US. I’ll have a look.
The gen 6 double chrome looks much better than the gen 7's in my opinion.

Did I miss the spin numbers ?
5400 average
The black ops id the old 0211 irons
Keep these away from me 😂
Honestly! Soon as I hit them, you was the first person I thought of lol 😂
Not relevant to your video, sorry Gaz, but I got my 3rd hole in one this morning!!!
Do not be sorry one bit! I’d be telling the world as well! Wow, that’s amazing!
@@garymartingolf I guess it's true what they say about blind squirrels 🤣
Well done! I’ve never had one!
PXG?
Congrats! I got my first one a month ago - with my Gen3 XPs I just found used.
Oh know more new irons for Gaz ffs 😂😂😂
Guy shot himself in foot basically admitted they reached the limit with irons now ,so when they fetch some out next year or year after that’s what’s point because they won’t be any better than these
Everything is good these days just matters look and feel
I love this comment! Can’t wait for gen 8 now, just to see what they say lol 😂
They look great but I have just upgraded so must stop watching lol
Yet another new set of golf clubs I’m sure they could hold back on bringing out new clubs. Dose the standard golfer need to keep paying out for not much difference for the weekend golfer.
I don’t think you have to update your irons so much, maybe once every 6/7 years.
I’m still gaming Ping G400’s! I might upgrade to i530’s in the winter.
Why are PXG so ugly, I couldn’t play them don’t suit my eye
You’ve got to like the look of something, what do you like ?

so many 'yeah'
No no no 😄
