  • Interior Designer Mary Beth Wagner invites us into her charming home in Dallas, Texas.
Initially, Mary Beth's home didn't make much of an impression, appearing quite plain and unremarkable. Yet, she was instantly drawn to its location and saw potential in its simplicity. Determined to invigorate the house, she launched an extensive renovation, stripping it back to its bare bones. To create a transitional design aesthetic, she did away with the heavy crown moldings and introduced whimsical, organic wallpapers and contemporary art. A palette of soft pastels and a selection of her favorite pieces, which have journeyed with her from home to home, now breathe new life into each room.

Did anyone else count how many times she said," This is my favorite...," whatever. ? I lost count after 100. Again, husband and son had no input but at least they get to park their golf clubs in the formal living room after they finish golfing at HP country club.

20:03 All these tours with big huge kitchens redesign your kitchen Make it beautiful and you don’t cook or you don’t cook often on her case her daughter cooks more than her a freshman in high school 🤣 but some home tours I watched I see kitchens that are big as a closet and the women standing there I love to cook for my family or my husband or boyfriend if they got a dog the dog stand on their hind legs in the kitchen cooking 🤣 a kitchen is not made for show. it is made to be used. There was nothing more fun than buying ingredients to learn how to cook this dish that dish That’s how you learn.

I would describe this home as traditional, it’s definitely not whimsical.

Nice. Get an elbow in for the son and dad leaving their guild clubs in the living room. Where they are supposed to be!😂

That glass top must weigh a ton.

I cannot imagine removing the crown molding! How awful - That is what gives character to the house. It is like the jewelry that completes an outfit. I also thought she said the house had pink brick but the picture shows it in white so i am guessing they painted it. I don't find much inspiration from this house.

The furnishings are fine, but getting rid of crown molding is a sin. Livingroom reminds me of a hotel lobby. The daughter's canopy bed looks like a hospital room pull-screen...oh my. So I guess this one is not eye grabbing for me.

It seems to me that all the tours from Texas and Georgia look the same.
