Critical discourse is critical. Violence is not acceptable. The battles we fought for academic freedom and the FSM (Free Speech Movement) advocated for discourse not violence. Peaceful nonviolent protests are critical and important. Those of us who got physically thumped in the movement remained nonviolent which resulted in shifting the culture of institutional racism; raised awareness of the human cost of war and hastened the end of the Vietnam war. The nightmare of the Kent State shooting and the systematic police violence at the Chicago Democratic Convention resulted in building the movements. Neither were provoked by demonstrators. What has occurred at some of the universities was blatantly provoked and must be condemned, as Biden has done.
*If we cannot speak about "uncomfortable things" on the campuses of "institutions of higher learning", exactly where are we supposed to have these discussions?*
Discussion is the key word. It implies calm discourse. Listening. I’m with you. We need more of this in all of our institutions, especially ones of higher learning.
If the property owners do not want violence, and damage, and threats to those on the property then, the people causing the issues legally can be asked to relocated off of the private property, those people have the option to move to public property and continue their case, but again it is subject to acting peacefully.
They only have 50% of people according to Gallup, even believing, and 50% of those don't pay attention or watch this. Of the 50% that don't have their heads buried in the sand that leaves you guys with a grand total of 10 people that give amy validity to the story 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You need a crime before any evidence can be submitted, and so far, nobody can name a crime. All of you people are badly misguided and misinformed and run on hatred instead of intelligence.
it is not common or even uncommon practice in the USA for a rapist to marry his victim. That makes Stormy a victim all over again. AND she would never ever say yes to that sort of married man . Perhaps in your culture a woman is obligated to marry her rapist. That would be about the chance that the rape produced a child ... and the man must assert ownership of the rape baby's inherited property. It is completely about male domination and not one thing to do with justice or fairness to a rape victim. Right?

Funny how the sewing and drawing always shows up at a critical moment in the discussion.

Your comment comes from a world where men are real people. Women are a man's property?
my reply .. in defence of women's rights, is out of sight now. Are there people opposed to women governing content here.?
