But United didn't rest on that, they kept spending to top up. Spurs got lucky and were derelict in thinking that was the model forward. The ownership and those running the football department and not up to it. Buying for the future is fantastic, they have built a great core of young players given very little has come from their academy, but that isn't enough. Not in the PL, you need to bring in experience, and Spurs haven't brought in a headline talent for years. They got the likes of Son etc before they got that title, and now he's getting old and they have increased their expectations on him. Levy is incapable of building a top 4 squad.

Agree with you Robin. If you had strength in depth, right coaching regime,the right recruitment, and backing from the top which this club never has under Levy, unlike Liverpool who have it all in place !
