What an excellent collection of clips John, a nationwide tribute to these unsung heroes of our railway heritage..thanks for sharing this one..5*...Bob
Cant get enough of this... its not just music that brings back memories, trains do too...
Gotta love those old classics! Class 101, Class 117, Class 205 = Ah Nostalgia!
Love these old DMUs. I remember sitting at the front and being able to see up the line ahead because the driver's cab had glass windows at the back and you could look right through. Happy days.
Back in the mid 60s the western region was still running the old GWR passenger and parcel railcars too.
fantastic history of DMUs
I'm watching this and recognising the trains that are in use on my line at this moment!
totaly brilliant 10 / 10 great stuff
The bald driver at 8:02 was engaging in self stimulation.
The 150 that has "track recording unit" - is that what was later reclassified as a 950?
Guys, how much was a driver on who drove the class 108 and 117s?
