But man do the remaster mw2 and last year mw2019 look good. Might buy both. But mw2 remaster doesn't seem to haveb4 player split screen local like before. Like farcry 3 doesn't have local multi-player missions. What half assed remasters are these man?

CFCs, which were the main driver of it were outlawed and while it still exists it began to repair itself shortly after the widespread use of CFCs was stopped. The further away we get from the 80's and the number of dev's that weren't even born then increases, the less games are able to capture the "80's feel" correctly. They take the cliches and hammer them to death. It wasn't like that for the most part, at all. I imagine my grandfather would have felt the same way about WW2 games while I was claiming how realistic they were. I get it now.

Well it didn't just go away, but the problem was finally acknowledged by the relevant industries which up to this point had waved it off as "anti-capitalist" propaganda. They then stopped using the harmful gases in their products, which turned out to be way easier than expected, whereupon the ozone layer was allowed to slowly begin healing itself. It's still there but it's shrinking. So it's actually one of the few success storys we have and it's a pity no one talks about it anymore but that's media for you, never covering the positives.
The minute a game "requires" an always online connection just to play a single player mode you've instantly lost my sale. Being penalized because your internet happens to be down that day is a totally BS move on their part.

As someone whos played cod since i was a little kid, the game is great, this is a return to form for the black ops series... zombies is good, multiplayer is good, and the campaign is a sequel to the original black ops which was a fan favorite
I love playing cod campaigns but every year I look at the reviews and sigh to myself knowing i will need to wait to get a copy for 20 to 30 quid on ebay because there's no way I can justify the price tag.
Mack my good man, by any chance did you try out Ghostrunner? I absolutely loved it, and it's a fantastic PC port as well. It's basically "What if Titanfall 2 had a more hardcore single-player campaign" lol. With so many games handholding with shallow mechanics, it's nice to have a real challenge. The game's only like four hours long though so super short, biggest complaint people have with it.
I have modern warfare and still love it, has the feel of the old cods I used to love as a kid. All my friends who I play with hopped straight onto cold war when it came out and then I was expected to do the same just to play with them. Well, I told them where to go and laughed at them for pissing their money away when they could have just kept playing MW which was already great. I noticed time and time again my friends tell me to get the newest game so we can all play it together but then three or four weeks later they've already grown tired of it and moved on to the next thing... Needless to say I choose my games very wisely and you Mack are always my go to for an unbiased review and some comedy value as well. Thanks Mate, Sean
I found the campaign quite enjoyable even though I feel like another ending could of been better. I feel that sure some parts can get dull but every cod has that, I found the spy areas a great twist to the standard gameplay and the twist at the end to be great.

Treyach is rather trash at campaigns compared to Infinity Ward. They've really only ever nailed it with the original Black Ops and World at War. IMO

Also, on that note, I know CoD is probably one of your 'big ticket' reviews, big long running AAA series, of course it will get all the clicks, but to be fair, if you stopped reviewing CoD, I don't think anyone would really mind, at this point I'd sooner expect a cow to literally change its spots before CoD changes anything.
The hole in ozone layer didn't "go away". CFCs, which were the main driver of it were outlawed and while it still exists it began to repair itself shortly after the widespread use of CFCs was stopped.
This is the problem with listening to scientists and actually fixing problems, people begin to think "oh it went away, can't have been that serious then". It was serious, people listened and action was taken so it was mitigated.

The further away we get from the 80's and the number of dev's that weren't even born then increases, the less games are able to capture the "80's feel" correctly. They take the cliches and hammer them to death. It wasn't like that for the most part, at all. I imagine my grandfather would have felt the same way about WW2 games while I was claiming how realistic they were. I get it now.

Someone said in the comment section of the original game trailer, that the music playing at the start through the soldiers earphones was released in the 1990s. Meaning that someone has programmed that song into this multimillion dollar game, and not realised it was in the wrong decade

Hey Mack, you were wondering about the hole in the ozone layer. Well it didn't just go away, but the problem was finally acknowledged by the relevant industries which up to this point had waved it off as "anti-capitalist" propaganda. They then stopped using the harmful gases in their products, which turned out to be way easier than expected, whereupon the ozone layer was allowed to slowly begin healing itself. It's still there but it's shrinking.
So it's actually one of the few success storys we have and it's a pity no one talks about it anymore but that's media for you, never covering the positives.

As someone whos played cod since i was a little kid, the game is great, this is a return to form for the black ops series... zombies is good, multiplayer is good, and the campaign is a sequel to the original black ops which was a fan favorite
I love playing cod campaigns but every year I look at the reviews and sigh to myself knowing i will need to wait to get a copy for 20 to 30 quid on ebay because there's no way I can justify the price tag.

Mack my good man, by any chance did you try out Ghostrunner? I absolutely loved it, and it's a fantastic PC port as well. It's basically "What if Titanfall 2 had a more hardcore single-player campaign" lol. With so many games handholding with shallow mechanics, it's nice to have a real challenge. The game's only like four hours long though so super short, biggest complaint people have with it.

I have modern warfare and still love it, has the feel of the old cods I used to love as a kid. All my friends who I play with hopped straight onto cold war when it came out and then I was expected to do the same just to play with them. Well, I told them where to go and laughed at them for pissing their money away when they could have just kept playing MW which was already great.
I noticed time and time again my friends tell me to get the newest game so we can all play it together but then three or four weeks later they've already grown tired of it and moved on to the next thing... Needless to say I choose my games very wisely and you Mack are always my go to for an unbiased review and some comedy value as well.

I found the campaign quite enjoyable even though I feel like another ending could of been better. I feel that sure some parts can get dull but every cod has that, I found the spy areas a great twist to the standard gameplay and the twist at the end to be great.
