A story which will make you cry. The story is two years old but actually it happened seventy four years back. Two years back, I along with my friend Lovely Singh visited village Bogran in Lylpur to cover a partition story. There an eighty years old man namely Siddique met us and asked to do a favor for him. I replied, surely we will do that, please let us know. On this, he said, my son, at time of partition, my mother and six months old brother namely Habib alias Sheela were at our maternal grandparents at village Pholay Wala, India, hence they were separated from us as we migerated to Pakistan. We could not find them till today but inner self says that my brother is alive. As we assured him to trace his lost brother, the old man started weeping bitterly. Lovely Singh embraced him and stressed that we would trace his brother. On very next day, we uploaded that video on our channel PUNJABI LEHAR. It seems that the screaming voice of the old man was noticed and next I received a call from Dr. Jagsir Singh and confirmed the presence of Habib alias Sheela in his viilage in India. The next day we arranged a video call and put through the two long separated souls. A picture has been shared. Time tickled and COVID 19 errupted and borders were sealed. The separated brothers were not able to meet even if met virtually. At last, it is today that their request has been approved by the Lord of the universe, and united both brothers at Kartarpur Sahib, where they embraced each other and flooded in tears. Everybody present at the sacred place of Kartarpur Sahib who even didn't know them were weeping with emotions. Most of the people have passed away with an unfulfilled ardent desire in their heart, to see their birth place and meet their childhood friends. I am from Punjab Pakistan. 1947 we celebrated every year but for many people it's heart wrenching who lost their families, houses, relatives, friends every single thing even lives.
Before 14 Aug 1947 life was heaven for them in their small town villages no technology just love and strong bonding without any religion discrimination.
I personally think we are illiterate and racist but them are pure.

yes my brother, what bordering states with pak and china go through and have gone through ( specially pak ), only their people know or even do not realise.
We north indians, NE states bordering china/ far east WB bordering maynmar and bengladesh have absorbed the hostilities of war/ skirmishes/ partion , after war emortions which flows down deep into society. That is why people in general are little hot headed or may be strong headed. The families, gen after gen, keep paying the price of proximity with the borders like someone sweeps the street and gets shrouded in dust while doing the job. May be our sourthern brothers/sisters will not know about this price paid by raj/guj/haryana/punjab/ jk etc... Indirectly, Not only the jawns/ police force/ parmillitary/ BSF/CRPF of bordering states, but their families and other families alike are paying this huge price, by absorbing the angst in genral and serving our bharat mata.

It was extremely moving & emotional to see two brothers uniting after a long time, how painful it is to be separated from your own family. Both India & Pakistan should start a special program where more such families can be united and can meet each other on a regular basis. Punjabi lehar is doing a great job and we need more social movements like these to bring people closer on both sides of the border.

Even though I have been the native Indian but these emotional views made me cry😭. I can't imagine the amount of pain they have gone through the time of partition which led to leaving of native places, brothers, families as well as everything forever.
It's good to see people are meeting with their families. Lot's of love and respect to people who are taking such initiatives in bringing people closer. ❤
