Guess I’ll teach myself.” Or I tell myself everyone’s unique, then I get on dating apps and am like, “Guess not.” Obviously both are true to some extent. It just gets so boring sometimes. I'm lead Ni too, but I'm savior Consume. So I try to take the time to understand what I'm gathering and fit it into my known information, but, when I don't have that time (like mid-conversation), I toss a lot of it as well.

Ooooo! I’m trying to write a story with a Savior Sleep & Consume INFJ and I was wondering about it during the video, and then found this comment!!! If you don’t mind, can you talk more about what it’s like being a Lead-Sleep Ni user, and how that balances out with Demon Se in Savior Consume? When do you find yourself using Consume if it’s hard to keep up sometimes in fast-paced external situations? And what is it like having Demon Blast even when your lead function is a blasting function? If there’s anything you want to share I would be so ecstatic 🤩🤩 ~MM Ne/Fi CS/P(B)

    • @TheGrandChieftain
      @TheGrandChieftain 3 роки тому

@@sophiaredwood5825 That's funny. I'm actually trying to finish up a story of mine today; I guess people of the same type tend to do the same things. Being a lead Sleep Ni user is really frustrating because nothing ever goes the way you want it too, the way you planned it out in your head. I myself am a staunch perfectionist, but not like a super organized, 9-5 type of guy. It takes a lot of time and energy to complete things, but, when I do, I do it to the utmost quality because I see them as a representation of my self-worth.
The reason I consume a lot is not because I like the chaos but because I want to limit it and have the ability to control what's coming next. If I gather enough information, there won't be as many surprises. The sad thing is that you'll never know enough; there will always be that uncertainty, and that's what I hate. I consume very slowly; an ENFP like you, for example, may read a book faster than me because you always want to move on to the next thing, while I have to make sure everything is in my known information. I don't perform particularly well in fast-paced situations like when I'm playing sports or debating someone else. I started playing chess earlier this year, and most of the games I lose is on time. I am really competitive, though, because I have double-activated masculine Ti.
Yeah, I've been writing too much; let me wrap this up. I know blast constitutes my two "largest" functions, but I am not good at it at all. That's why I hope I haven't been boring you. I can organize concepts internally, but explaining them to other people is difficult. It might be due to me having Ti and not Te, but I think my feminine Ni has a role in this too. I am constantly paying attention to the concepts, but it's so difficult for me to put them into something solid that others will understand. I can still have conversations with the tribe and play with others' emotions, so that must be me blasting as well. However, I'm not much of a "fun guy." You're more likely to find me lying on my bed, wondering what my purpose is in life, than partying or going to the movies.

This! Proves my INTJness! It's like people speak about the same program but with different descriptions of it.
Ni it's interested in the general understanding. While Te parent in raport with Ti critic just checks the structure of other arguments to see if they find a new understanding and then proceeds to extract the points forming the argument and it incorporates them in its database of general understanding, or it goes all Hulk and it smashes it in the database under the magenta is not red, but I will treat it like red category. Same like red, but with a different name category, and then when he is not able to categorize them, he gets stressed out, and then proceeds to compulsively read articles all day and night in order to remove that gap about socionics and personality types...

I've always wondered why generally I can sit and read something, no problem. But sometimes, especially if I'm really getting into an article and I feel like there's some great stuff there that I'm really digging it, I get overwhelmed and have to set it down and walk away. It makes me physically agitated and I either have to let it sit, and then come back to it. Or I need to pull out some scrap paper and start taking notes and organizing the ideas. But this totally makes sense. When there's a bunch of info that I really could care less about, then I can read, or even skim, through it very quickly and I'm generally bored out of my mind. But as soon as it's something that hits one of my personal obsessions, then I've got to go really slow and make sure I truly grok what's being said and sort it into its proper arena.

I think the process of comparing new information to what you already know to be true or know to work applies to "Si" too, and it's a behavior more characteristic with having the sleep and blast animal in the top 3 or as saviors. I love the process though, because it keeps what's already sorted as sorted, time isn't put into brainstorming anymore, the constructive process of achieving a goal is known, all that is left is execution. Probably because I have consume first, I can't wait to organize/ catalog/ categorize or characterize the information I have been learning (sleep-"Fi-Si") and be able to use it serve a purpose, accomplish a task, add to my skill set/improving on it (blast- "Si-Te)

I don't think it's the same for Si. Ni is all about building in theory. Personally when new information comes in and it doesn't fit the existing narrative I have to come up with some new theory to explain how this new information fits. It's super useful when it comes to evolving existing theories. I design tailored therapy programs for a living by using existing frameworks I created for dealing with reported symptoms and conditions. But it's very focused on making what's presented to me fit my narrative.
Si is more for facts. I don't see Si building too much but rather trying to understand a narrative they've been given from the sensory world. That's personally why I prefer ENTPs over ISTJs as lawyers. The ENTP is going to create a truth in my favour by pulling shit out if their ass whereas the ISTJ is only going to work off what the clients told them, if the facts don't fit that story the ISTJ lawyer will pick the facts over client narrative.
Being based in theory vs reality are super different. And I personally find higher Si needs to be told what to do and Ni does whatever it want.

So then Ne-Si axis is the reverse, and therefore would be shoving Ne concepts into the known Si facts. But I do have a very clear sense of how my values (valuations?) stack up on a great variety of different things and can sort through that quite easily. This thing is this good, better than this thing, worse than that thing, this guy likes this, this other guy doesn't like that, etc. I love rating things on scales, like from 1 to 10, or doing rankings/tier lists. And I'll sometimes use both of those to try to get a point across in casual conversation.

As a fellow Ti user, ENTP in my case I describe Ti, relating to a value system, as if we are critics. I often do that, when I watch a film I just make an internal process of rating all the aspects on the movie to determine if it was good. For example, I would take into account cinematography, story, acting, production value and at the end I will determine if i liked the movie depending of how well it ranked in my mind. As if I was a movie critic. Then i will be surprised when someone likes something I deem bad, I will be like, but how can you like it, when the acting was terrible, the story was generic and the cinematography uninspiring. My mind has trouble thinking that people just like things just because.

Ni definitely simmers down all the redundancy into a rule. Rules are much easier to remember than all the information and then we’re constantly evaluating if new information fits those rules

Wow this was so interesting! Thank you for this video. Loved the end clip especially. :D
I think I now have a lot better grasp on Ni. I know I have sometimes done that too when I shift the information to my mind boxes as like "eeh, I already know it, it is the same as this" and something like that but it is so weird to think that people try to do it with ALL the information they get. I find it kind of annoying (in some situations), because yes, it may be the same, but sometimes it is reallllyyy not, and people just put labels on things and let the new information slip past them. Tbh often when I am talking about something new and important I have discovered or smth I'm very afraid that people would do that to the info I am giving. Maybe it is because of lead Ne?

Oh my fucking GOD my head just exploded! This has to be my fav video of yours! So interesting to hear you talk about how your Ni-Se brain works with such detail! And in that part where you said you take in way less than what's being said and try to filter it down to what u already know, that sounded terrifying to me! Like, why on earth would you want to not take in the whole information, maybe you miss sth, some important NEW connection! And, what a loss indeed! I'm infp, obviously.
For me it's more like: I need to take the information AS IS, like it's dumped into my brain and then it blooms into a flower and then I can make connections with what I already know, but it's exactly that: connections, not that I dump everything into the same pipe! God, that sounds like a terrible idea, because you miss all the nuances.

I’m a INTJ but I love new or to consume, I spend around 8 or more hours a day reading and listening to audio books, even while working as a electrician. And I’m always reorganizing and seeing connections. But it seems like I’m useing Ni/Te/Fi all at once most of the day while studying new things and older known topics like the Bible, but my body is generally fixing something so my body is doing Se, I wonder if you can learn to balance your functions to use them all most of the time and not be so confined to only 2 at once.

I’ve been describing this as the difference with my brain to an intp I know and she’s like how can you function when I say how my brain just auto filters out excessive ness and only keeps the absolute needs to be able to understand something.

Your 1st word should be the point. Talking to someone with lead Ni is like entering a conversation 1/2 complete. The plan is in their head. If you ask them a question they start at the beginning of their diatribe and believe repeating the same irrelevant stuff will somehow clear up the question. When in fact they don’t even know what the question is because they are just downloading that abstract plan that makes sense to only them without a real world point of reference. Over and over again.... I side with the little boy. They are at grandmas house so the rules for home don’t apply.
