@@garmit61 cc30T is what is on the invoice although mohan mani further south this thread said it wasn't listed on the site and reckoned it was the CC30H... Its tri oval carbon fibre system anyway for a 2019 vstrom 650, 300mm. I think when I ordered it, I'd decided if it didn't go on with the stand fitted, I would just take it off, but it wasnt an issue.
also the hanging bracket did it fit snugly on inside or got gap and guess the pointy bit of exhaust goes towards bottom?,just making sure I don't put it upside down lol
No, the bike ran perfectly well without any tuning at all. Obviously to confirm and make it 100% it would benefit from a tune, but certainly didn't feel worse without one.
Hey mate, that's an awesome bit of kit. Got a question for you, would this exhaust be a problem during MOT? I imagine the original exhaust was so heavy because it had catalytic convertor somewhere in there. The new exhaust probably doesn't have it. I've only used slipons before and when I take the bike for mot, I just swap in the original.
Thanks yeah, check out the other videos too, more footage out on the open road. Pipes and whisky and the episode 3 - Winter Waffle gives a good idea of noise. Shouldn't have any issues with MOT it's road legal with the baffle in and I still have the centre stand fitted. The spring for the stand catches on the link pipe slightly, but it's not an issue. It looks and sounds shitty. Definitely, the first thing I'd change on the bike. I just wish it had a slip-on option as my old Duke 390 had. Don't want to take a wrench to the bike if I don't have to and I'm allergic to motorbike garages. I like the slipper clutch on KTMs but for torturing with the wife on the back, I think I'll either go with the BMW or the V-Strom. KTM is too "playful" for the missus. Ride safe!

@@twistandgo3414 this is going to sound daft. But there isn’t a CC30T listed for the DL650. I checked every single exhaust that looks like the one that you installed on your V-Strom. Would it be possible to give us two details? The length of your exhaust can - 200 or 300 or 370 or 400? And the material - SS with a carbon fibre tip or entirely carbon fibre? These two parameters should help narrow it down.

Which Black widow exhaust did You purchase ? I have a 2019 650 V Strom and have looked on there site but it says that You can not have a centre stand with there exhaust and I see that You do have one with yours ? . Regards
Looked back at the invoice to check, it's referenced as the CC30T 2017-2020 300mm Tri-oval full system. Yes, it was fitted with the centre stand in place. It rubbed slightly on the link pipe, but I never had an issue with it right up to pegs down on the tarmac. Not exactly what the bike was built for, but it will do it. Fantastic and grossly under rated bike!
Because I didn't want to put any stress on the cable by twisting it in situ while it was still connected. Could probably do it, but it's better practice to remove it first, personal preference really. Thanks for watching!

The quality and price in honesty. I wanted the yoshimura system for it but at twice the price, decided this was worth a look. Had seen a lot of people on another forum rate the black widow system so that was also influential in the decision. Thanks for watching and for your comments - too kind.
You don't HAVE to remove it, but as it unscrews from the exhaust, it's better practice to Disconnect the wiring and remove with the exhaust, unscrew it off the bike, then screw it back in and reconnect when you re install. No strain on the wiring then as it twists when you unscrew it. But to each their own.
Dot have any official figures to provide I’m afraid. The bike was definitely lighter for junking the standard exhaust assembly and would say it was crisper off the throttle and revved out quicker. I’d expect power gains to be roughly the same. Hope that helps.

Yeah, baffle is in at 8:55 during the start. Also a separate video on the channel now between "standard", "baffle in" and "baffle removed" . ua-cam.com/video/PRa9tjlCte8/v-deo.html Would say its very smooth, no fueling issues at all, bikes does seem a little lighter round the mid section, guess it is now its 5kg+ lighter over standard. Picks up well, sounds great. Only ridden with the baffle out so far. Been quite windy here recently, so last run out was a touch of drone with baffle removed, but think due to wind behind for the short run I was on. Baffle in I'm 100% confident, it would be fine.. Seems good for 90% of the time baffle removed for now, but testing is still on-going! I'm really happy with it, no complaints at all.
One more question...Do you have an increase in top speed and acceleration? Could you test and tell me? do you have less average diets or don't you feel it? this is because most of the Vstrom exhaust systems lose their output and casualties. Did you have to reprogram Ecu or adjust anything? Regards Andrew Portugal
@@andrefilipequintans3727 I would say acceleration feels better, seems a bit crisper / more responsive. Top speed, I couldn't say, does feel quicker but with even losing 5kg minimum it's worth the upgrade, plus it looks better. Mpg / fuel economy wise, too early to tell im afraid. The bike is standard, hasn't had any fueling modifications, ecu flash or power commander to it as yet. It would obviously benefit from it to get the best running / performance out of the bike with the exhaust, but it doesn't ride and feel like it needs it. Undoubtedly, doing so would provide better gains in bhp and Mpg though. I hope this helps.
@@twistandgo3414 Interesting. Delkelvic has a crossover tube like factory. But in order to clear the centerstand the pipe hangs down and you lose about 1" of ground clearance. They said you need the crossover to complete scavenging and avoid "flat-spots" in the performance. Any difference between stock and the BlackWidow in driveability or MPG?
@@mikejohnson9118 flat spots - didn’t notice any in honesty, the bike was a bit keener to rev but no doubt would have benefited from a tune (black widow say it’s not necessary, but any tune to suit on the back of a change in my experience would help). if there was a difference in mpg i didn’t notice it, but have to say, didn’t pay much attention to it either, so guess any difference was noticed in its absence.
Excellent looking Vstrom. Red tank and nose cowling with cast aluminum wheels look great. I have a pearl white '17 with 30,000 trouble free miles. I kept the centre stand on, it did rub a little bit but never had an issue with it. Just added an extra bit of rubber on to it. No issues when riding the bike anyway, either two up or single riding right up to pegs hitting the deck during some more spirited riding...so no really issues. Thanks for watching. 👍
Because you would be rotating the cable / wiring and putting stress on everything by rotating it in situ. Could probably get away with keeping it in, but why risk damaging it for the sake of an extra couple of mins to disconnect it? Just good practice really.
@@MARKINAU8 biggest reason I'm buying this system for my 2020 wee over a Yoshimura is so I don't have to flash my ECU or get a power commander. The plug and play was one of my biggest concerns other than the look, sound, and price. It's just a V-Strom not a track bike lol.

It certainly doesn't run any worse, picks up quicker and is noticeably lighter when you're moving it about. You can feel less mass lower on the bike in the handling too. No issues with fueling what so ever, but of course would benefit from tuning to make the most of the modifications, but never felt any worse, only better.
@@twistandgo3414 I fitted delkevic full system to a 2012 Vstrom and it had a ballance pipe like the original but I wish it didn't as it interferes with stone guard. Did your original system have a balance pipe?

No, one exhaust off, one Exhaust on and enjoy the audible pleasure and weight saving. Runs really well, no issues at all.

Silly question but why didnt you just unscrew the sensor off the exhaust insteadof pulling the wiring apart?

Why pull out the whole wire for the lamda sensor? Surely you'd just disconnect from the OEM exhaust and reconnect to the new exhaust...?

There is no "crossover" pipe like on the factory exhaust?
No, straight exhaust through to end can and it still works with the centre stand too.
