Its history behind the warrior and welcome to another Mortal Kombat video!
Now In todays history of breakdown and analysis I will be talking about a legend amongst the Edenian pantheon, the elemental god, Blaze.
I hope you enjoy this video and learned more by doing so!

I think Blaze served his purpose and it helps that he wasn't evil like all the bosses. I would like to see him again and Taven and Deagon too

I would say Shinnok as well but he was downplayed a lot more in the reboot series.
Havik has the MKX comic series that did extremely well, one of the few other media sources that didn’t flop or was bad.
Made a Havik the most wanted 3D era character to comeback

@@seasonembrace3624 they did but they didn’t really do that much except being shown that the red dragons exist.
Taven and Dagon are awake tho, which probably means nothing anymore since they rebooted the series again.
And yeah Reiko also became a wanted 3D era character as well, but from what I’ve seen Havik mostly took his spotlight.
Either way I hope some of the 3D era characters at least comeback in the new reboot, some really deserves it while some are good to stay in the past.
The sons of Argus at least get a mention in MK11, and I feel like, if Rain can exist in this timeline, so can they.

Letting him get his behind whipped by weak ass characters, same for noob we all know these characters are stronger than the characters they lose to. Mortal kombat has become so trash to the point where Kitana can beat shou kahn 1v1 they need to fix the power scale before they add new characters to this trash ass series, Jax should never be able to beat noob even with Jackie. Nobody cares about johny cage and Sonya we came to mk for the ninjas and mystical stuff not weaker characters magically beating strong characters

Taven defeated Blaze but Blaze's power deflected off of Taven's armor into the other
warriors (including Shao Kahn) making them more powerful than ever before.
Blaze is a forgotten character...I don't think NRS is going to bring him back

Strangely after losing to him so many times Blaze is one of my favorite characters. He looks cool. He has cool lore and his cause is pretty noble.
A _Deception_ remake with MK 11 graphics would be an absolute Godsend!

I feel as though that’ll happen for MK12
Shujinko and the way he grew in age throughout the story getting gray and then white hair made playing the story so much more rewarding and made the passing time feel more tangible. The ps2 era of MK was absolutely epic.
I always found it kinda funny how Shujinko aged, yet everyone else stayed the same age 😅
And here I was thinking blaze was the villain all along.
I like to see Blaze and the sons of Argus return in Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate
Or probably in a future Mortal Kombat game like for an example Mortal Kombat 12
@@bryanbarron3115 i agree, cause if they went with Liu Kang's ending in Aftermath, not only would they being still in existance, but he could also bring in Raiden, Fujin, and maybe even Bo'Rai Cho as Earthrealm defenders along side the Kung Lao of that period.

I would love to see Taven and daegon and Blaze return
Blaze just as much as Onaga exists, but we need to adventure to the other realms, again but in a new time line, which will introduce old, and new characters. (Hotaru, I'm looking at you)
Didn't one of the MKX endings mention killing off Shujinkou during his quest to awaken Onaga? They've been pretty good at drawing from the lore as need be.

@Sin Badx sometimes they are. Mortal Kombat overall has always been a grab bag of what is and isn’t canon. Before the story mode was introduced that’s practically all the canon was.
I'm in full support of bringing back any obscure/forgotten character in this franchise

Part of me feels a little strange knowing that argus's children were supposed to defeat blaze, however the only one that looked suited to fight him was the one he didn't even accept AKA rain. Look rain has water powers which would immediately give him an advantage over a fire being
Using rain against blaze would be like trying to use the earth's oceans to put out the sun its just not going to work.
I would love to see the sons of Argas come back. I think it would expand more for Rain's story and make him a more important character given that they are half brothers

Yeah Hornbuckle looks like Lu Kang there were some theories stating that Lu Kang and Hornbuckle are related to each other.
MK timelines are so Confusing now this days, now that Liu Kang has the hour glass, let’s see where this goes.

Yeah,I will love to see Blaze,Taven,and Daegon to return in the Mortal Kombat franchise,their could even appear in mk11 sense there game is not done.
I still can't believe all of midway went bankrupt. I never had any problems with them growing up, its like outta nowhere when it happened. They had a glorious lineup of cabinets and collection disc later on.

Blaze was definitely one of the few high points of the otherwise lackluster 3-D era.
Really, you didn't like them? I thought the 3D era revived the franchise. It was on life support after MK4. The shocking story of deadly alliance, the AWESOME konquest mode in Deception. The Krypt!! Granted, Armageddon was trash but it hard a descent story that lead to MK 2011.

I always figured that, because Taven defeating Blaze caused everybody to be powered _up,_ Shao Kahn, being stronger than ever, beat the tar out of everybody, including Taven, allowing him to steal the Prize from him.
NRS didn't think of this for some reason.

I believe Blaze will return as likely DLC because just like Rain he was shown in the Krypt fighting each other although this a homage to old games I believe it’s a preview for his resurrection in the new timeline

I think they need to develop their story mode from the |fight - cut scene - fight| formula we have now. I like how daring the 3d era was.

So basically mk9 to mk 11 is an injustice version of an alternate timeline and universe where this timeline exists but so do the original timeline of the old games . Damn that's pretty dope overall. Got to give credit to nrs and midway there. Not a fan of mk 11 gameplay but that's cool.

In my headcanon that was part of the spell that bound Blaze to Onaga, which made him forget his quest. Because his mind was altered and the psychic link with Caro was broken he thought that was the signal to awaken Daegon.

Here’s what I think happened on how Shao got the power
Onaga takes off with
Taven kills blaze, the shockwave causes onaga to drop Shao
Shao climbs the back of the pyramid & sneaks up behind taven & kills him while he’s still recovering from beating blaze

I don’t mean to knock this game it’s more... critique than anything but:
My main problem with this game is its lack of fan service, ok not everybody’s going to agree with me, and I understand the whole new generation argument, but... no Reptile? No Cyrax or Sektor? Smoke? They should’ve been in the main roster regardless, yet you expect me to care about a flat out carbon copy of Jax just in female form? Or D’vorah? Not for me.
I understand they can’t go Armageddon and throw everybody in, but it’d have been nice to see the mentioned above added (even Quan Chi, but that’s a personal pick there)
I understand where you’re coming from but I do know at the same time NRS need to change up the roster. I’m glad they’ve added characters people have wanted too. But I do agree that having these characters in the game would’ve been awesome.

The problem is that everyone has their own favorite. I personally find Baraka to be the blandest character ever, but plenty of people like him. Should he have been dropped to make room for Rain, just because I like him better?

@@asteronquestar8855 well wasn’t Baraka there from MK2? Not sure if that makes a difference but he’s definitely an original, to my knowledge Rain has only been in a select amount of the games. But obviously he has his fan base
It’s never stated that he beat Blaze. Go look at Taven’s ending for Armageddon, “a third unforeseen effect” occurred. It did nothing to stop the fighters and so the fight raged on and Taven sought a true solution to the chaos. Open and shut. The flames are “the burst of energy” released from Taven (or Daegon depending on which happened) beating Blaze. The energy flowed through the fighters, that’s why Shao Kahn even made his way back to the pyramid after Onaga carried him off in the opening cutscene (that basically renders the thought of Shao Kahn beating Blaze as completely impossible - cause it’s the opening cutscene and he’s out of the picture already in Armageddon, regardless of reboots). Love the coverage on the journey of Blaze!
I like Blaze, and I have a fond of his Armageddon design and story. I didn't care about the idea of Blaze being in the current games because if he does come back, it would be Armageddon all over again. New MK games need to be their own thing while still being Mortal Kombat.

I would like to see Blaze again for the same reason that I would like to see Onaga again. They are both unique and for Blaze, I honestly wonder if there could be an elemental realm or realms, seeing as for the most part in fantasy, elementals come from a place that contains the four elemental forces of air, fire, earth, and water. For Onaga, I honestly would just like to learn more about his time as Emperor besides what he sought to accomplish for himself and I would like to know if there could possibly be other Dragons that are like him, in the fact of being a Dragonman.

Personally I would live to see Blaze again, every character I feel are slowly getting their modern debut in one form or another. I would Love Love Love to see the events of Armageddon inevitable and see the series currently lead up to it.

It would be interesting given that the timeline has reset itself. I don't know why but blaze could be like a guardian of Edenia (mentor to sons of Argus) like Raiden is to Earthrealm. The possibilities are endless post MK-11

In the Krypt in MK:11, you can see Blaze fighting with Rain or someone else on the bridge in the background of the bridge above the pit.
In theory, blaze and the sons of Argus could easily return, since thy haven't shown up in the new timeline, meaning they're around, but they haven't been killed by this timeline's characters.
The Black Dragons exist, so at least one of them is up and about. If I recall, the bad son woke early, formed the Red Dragons which then split into Kano's group the Black Dragons.

I would love to not only see Blaze return but be more than just an Onaga reskin when in beast mode. I was disappointed when I fought him and his main move sets (not specials) were exactly the same as Onaga. Created a cheap underwhelming feeling. But I'm hoping we'll get to see him again revamped and better than before.

Huh never knew any of this. All I ever knew about him was his fighting style was so easy to understand in Armageddon I could, no joke, turn my chair backward and play using my feet to beat him every time with nearly every character. XD It made me label him with the top ten Final Bosses I felt were lacking.

I want them to make a new take on the Armageddon story like how Mortal Kombat 9 gave us a new take on the first 3 games only this time they will not just have common and new characters, but will also use the 3d era characters that were demoted to only appearing in the Mortal Kombat X comics.
My personal choice of all MK characters created would have to be Shujinko I would love if they brought him back. If I could have it my way I think it'd be friggin awesome if like in MK 13 (depending on what they do with 12 I guess) maybe Onaga returns and succeeds in becoming the One Being or something, I understand that may be overkill lol, and Shujinko has to be resurrected to defeat him bc only he can for some NRS reason haha. Assuming he's dead I don't even know what happened to him but I loved Deception so much even with it's flaws, it was the game that got me playing MK regularly. Plus he really was my favorite protagonist, I think he has potential as long as they found a good style for him since he borrowed from others in his game. Fuse Liu Kang and Kung Lao fighting style and you have Shujinko maybe? I think Kung Lao has dialogue where he says Master Shujinko trained him. Not sure about Liu Kang but idk it's an idea
Well Taven and Dageon have been referenced in the current timeline, so i wouldn't be surprised if they make an appearance, and maybe with them they bring back Blaze in some way
