The Belle is a winner. As a boost, drive by itself, stacked before or after other dirt pedals it just slays.

That pedal blew me away. Never been a huge Nobels guy, but wow the Belle just works so well into a Fender. I actually wrote about it recently and how it's probably the first overdrive that actually sounds good to me into the Tone Master amps. Everything else has sounded shrill or just off, as is par for the course with solid state amps. But the Belle frickin rocks into that amp. Even better into a real deal Twin.

      I concur.
I’ve got the ODR-1 Mini, a Rockett Chicken Soup, the VSXO (with ODR side), and the Belle is the standout from the bunch.

The Andy Wood Gearbox has replaced three overdrive/distortion pedals on my board. The noise gate filter is a game changer for single coil guitars. It just cuts that hum without gating the tone.

I hopped online to grab a Tumnus, as I sold off all my pedals years ago in a financial crunch and going fully digital, the day the gearbox was released. It's an absolute marvelous pedal! Love having my Tumnus and a Marshall in a box type thing together WITH an incredible noise gate. It's great on my current mini board and I love how when I go to a bigger board with a looper switcher I'll have complete independent control on the routing.

Many times I have purchased a pedal online, tried it with my rigs and dumped it. Our guitar shops here suck when it comes to pedal selections.

If you 2 haven’t seen Joe Bonamassa’s Rig Rundown from a couple years ago you should. Joe shows exactly how he uses the 2 pedals used to create that new one. His amps are cranked, the he uses the drive pedal to push them over the edge.

Greer after that I have loudness at 9, drive at 3, freq at 10. I can bring more mids and tweak bass and treble after that with my BOSS EQ GE7. I Play through a Tone King imperial. A similar alternative to the Belle is a J Archer GTO. I have that as well but settings are different than the Belle. "there is literally nothing special about that pedal it's just another fuzz pedal"

    *shrugs*
    "it's just another fuzz pedal"
My guess would be the impedance knob would be all the way down to get the "actual" pedal tone and that you "add" "impedance" while you add pedals/loads. In reality it might be "reducing" something when you are turning it "up" but it's likely an issue of loading or spectral density that gets mucked up when you start adding pedals in series, even though EVERYONE is supposed to be playing by the same rules and technically the input/output impedance should match to avoid signal attenuation and wave shaping/modulation injected by other pedals.
That was *smart* - give the user a knob to frob that allows your pedal to continue to deliver properly as intended; even though you can't control what everyone else is doing with their stuff or your own inexperience wrecking that interesting tone you found, you get a little latitude to scroll around for the sweet spot before declaring the pedal special needs if it's gonna work.

      It’s the opposite, actually.
Fuzz pedals famously have to go very first in your pedal chain, because of how much they are affected by the impedance change from other pedals/buffers etc.
The Benson Fuzz has input and output buffers to isolate it from those problems. The buffers introduced the same problem as not running it first in the signal chain though, so they added a ‘pickup emulation’ circuit to bring the impedance back to the correct level, and then you can vary the impedance with the impedance control.
With the impedance all the way up it sounds and feels more like a traditional fuzz, but with the impedance turned down it feels more touch responsive and sounds more like an overdrive.
