Pete is 100% correct about using your dominant hand on the fretboard! I thought about this while learning to play and chose to play right handed (left hand on the fretboard). It doesn't really relate to other instruments like piano where your lead hand is your right hand. Hey, at the end of the day, whatever it takes to express yourself.
I started playing five months ago. When I first looked into pedals, I thought, "I'll check and see if there's anyone making pedals here in Portland." Mind blown- I've found TEN. Mr. Black (really affordable minis, too.) Wright Sounds Retro Mechanical Labs (the prettiest pedals) Catalinbread Dirty Haggard Audio (charges way too little) Benson (fancy af) Malekko Kittycaster Subdecay & Spaceman If I missed any, let me know!!
It makes perfect sense that if the bias is too high or too low it starts crapping out.....think about....an audio/electrical wave like a sin wave goes up and down....if you have 9v (battery) makes sense the sweet spot is at 4.5...that means you have 4.5v head room above 0 and 4.5 below 0.....if you go to low...one side of the wave is going to crap out and be starved of head room and if you have it to high the other half of the wave will have the same effect on it....a wave ebbs and flows right....
I wish you'd have pulled a humbucker equipped guitar to see how that silktone pedal took it as well as the other, but mainly the silktone... I think that could've been worthwhile.
I guess on the If 6 was 9 fuzz, the volts knob starves the whole circuit of voltage, like a dying battery, whereas the bias just starves the second transistor of power.
The thing about your dominant hand being your picking hand is that’s actually the hand with the most muscle memory. Your dominant hand is the one that knows exactly where every string is without having to think about it
left-handed here but I play guitar on usual way. Never occurred to me change because I was too little when got my first experience and I just mimicked the others, it turned out pretty cool for me :)
Lee was like not doing a great job demonstrating this pedal lol well that's why Dave or oz should do the fuzz pedal videos. I get it though this takes from ....is their thing as in Lee and Pete but they've switched people on others before.
That point about Rabea - I do always have a wee giggle when I see people asking for his left-handed signature guitar. It is one! They don't make a right handed one 😏
I love Pete he is one of the best guitar players on here but anything too do with fuzz should probably go to oz. It'd be awesome to see Oz's fuzz tone riffs with Pete's bluesy technical skills. Then again that's kinda of what super dave Simpson is so yeah I take it back lol maybe they should have oz and Dave do a fuzz video because Dave is the man super skilled but has killer tones and uses effects so well. Has Dave and Pete ever even played together? That be a hell of a video honestly that'd be the dynamic duo those two guys skills is off the charts. I like oz but he isn't a lead player like Dave or Pete imo .. he is a awesome character and it's no disrespect some people are riff masters and some are more lead solo players. Shit some are both lol or maybe it's just different musical tastes. Variety is the spice of life and that's what people like about oz because he is so different and his musical taste even though the riffs seem simple it still teaches you stuff ... Like I've never heard of any of the bands he listens too lol
Man I had that Doomstick for a while but my Orange wasn’t quite getting on with it. When I was trading it in for something else at the shop the guys there turned it on into a wide open bogner amp and it sounded disgusting. Great pedal but really dependant on amps.
Love your channel guys! I have been watching for years. I’m sure this topic I’m about to bring up has been discussed before, that being said how does one go about purchasing from your store living in the USA? Thanking you in advance, this summer sale is giving me an itch lol
As someone born and raised in Portland, OR (in the USA)...I'm super happy to see the Doom Stick! Sidenote: can it go into a bass. I'm a bit of a bassist and something tells me this might be a lot of fun for bass.

New bucket list item: play through the Doomstick with a Les Paul BFG
Mick Gordon would be proud
Sweet!! Love new tales!! Cool choices.. playing sounds great 👊🤘🎸🎶

Go see super secret band or Jay si proof or lost ox
Good luck and have fun
The best thumbnail by far.

I second that ! It's pretty hard to find a fuzz face type pedal that can handle HB pickups as well as single coils...
I guess on the If 6 was 9 fuzz, the volts knob starves the whole circuit of voltage, like a dying battery, whereas the bias just starves the second transistor of power.
It's amazing after more than 50 years were Still chasing Jimi's Tone.
Best thumbnail in Andertons history lol

You can always tell when the video is made towards the end of the day...lol
Pete was getting a little "wolfmothery" there for a sec with that Dude Incredible pedal LOL.
left-handed here but I play guitar on usual way. Never occurred to me change because I was too little when got my first experience and I just mimicked the others, it turned out pretty cool for me :)
Also, I’m left handed but play right handed. Like Pete says, it makes sense that it’s the one on the fingerboard:)

There really needs to be a Cabinet Keeper host!
That point about Rabea - I do always have a wee giggle when I see people asking for his left-handed signature guitar. It is one! They don't make a right handed one 😏
what because it has a reverse headstock its left handed in your eyes? 😴 what about a reverse gibson firebird? left handed too? logic.
@@terrybanks5063 No because Rabea is left handed. So his signature guitar is a guitar made for a left handed person (him)
the most informative pedal and dirty mind reviews I have seen recently.
That was fun 🤘🏿😎!
Pete with the Lorax reference. Awww ya.
You guys are getting funny. I hope to hear a comedy version of this show.
Thanks for sharing Andertons is top notch!
I like the idea of one GIANT KNOB OF DOOM.

Man, if that pedal had a display you know people would try to run Doom on it
Given the game can be ran on a pregnancy test, I think it would work.
Can you please do more tales with modulations, reverbs and delays? It would be nice to get more variety than fuzz/overdrives/distortions all the time.
Man I had that Doomstick for a while but my Orange wasn’t quite getting on with it. When I was trading it in for something else at the shop the guys there turned it on into a wide open bogner amp and it sounded disgusting. Great pedal but really dependant on amps.
Did you use a different cabinet/speakers with the Bogner?
Praise SUNN indeeeeed!
Rip & Tear
Everybody needs a Thneed. Yes, I do know the film. My kids watched it about eleventy thousand billion times. Oh yeah, The Lorax.
All I need now is a 30ft pedal board!
Best series!
I played the original DOOM the day it was released; your thumbnail makes feel old.
The song how bad can it be is from the Lorax! Did I win anything lol
Hope you all are staying cool and safe.
The Dude Incredible was the only one I like. I wish pedals didn't cost almost as much as a new amp.
I feel like there’s a fuzz pedal called the ‘69? Perhaps a Fultone?
1:37 I see what u did there Pete lol
My broken 15 watt amp made that noise like the silktone at 18:45 LOL
The dude had the hendrix sound more than if 6 was 9 (if 5.5 was 8 🤣)
I'm generally not a fan of the fuzzface tone, but that silktone has some kind of mojo in there that I kind of enjoyed.

They made a specific video about how to do that here: ua-cam.com/video/Iu_zvwZ--Hc/v-deo.html
hi Andertons, why is your website always down haha.
Could you guys include Oz on any fuzz videos. You obviously don’t know what to do with the Doomstick.
Lorax haha love it

Anyone know what the blue T Style thing is behind Pete? It’s gorgeous
It’s by a builder called Seth Baccus. It’s his Shoreline model
Steve Morse is the artist you are thinking of
How bad can I be, from the Lorax!
Peddle the pretty pedals, Pete.
chuga chuga doom doo doom doo doom doo doom doom
LOL nice thumbnail
The Lorax.
Silktone? Idk sounds like farts underneath the silk sheets lol
Any chance you can do these vids with something other than a strat, tele or les Paul? See what they’d do to something a bit more off the wall
Sure, what would suggest? Remember we need to be stocking the brand.
@@andertons dont ask them for input, they just like to complain 😆😂
@@andertons I’d be interested is hearing that Doom Stick pedal with something with a higher output humbucker. Maybe a schecter? Esp?
THE LORAX 😀
wheres the bfg 9000 ?
Why is MK ultra not the wisest choice of words? Lol
Really like Pete but not the best for that kind of sounds
IDKFA IDDQD
If only it worked
Stop it! I will not listen to someone about to play doom on a pink Strat... Get out!
first
It's 2022, buddy.
