Why is she wearing a helmet?
She is actually wearing a helmet because we think that protection is always welcomed.
If I put the video on 2x speed would that be normal speed?
still seems slow
that's because it is slow on water with pedals lol... it needs a motor....
Whya a woman and not a man?
Io la compro, così magari concludo con quella tipa li in giro a pedalare sull'acqua ! :-)
This could really benefit from a recumbent bicycle design. Lower profile, lower centre mass etc. Also, a helmet while you're floating on the water? The model should be wearing a PFD (Personal flotation device) if you're really concerned about her safety.
We don't use logic in America anymore. If you are not in America, then Please refrain from using logic on the internet - it just confuses the morons...
Johnny Catt But that’s illogical... oh wait... :-)
Hello! We have designed a new waterbike inflatable and more practical if you want to take a look at our lasts videos! Thank you for your comment.
TEM REPRESENTANTE DA RED SHARK BIKES NO BRASIL? E HÁ ONDE
Hello! If you could give us your email address, we will answer this question and send you the catalog. You can also ask this at hello@redsharkbikes.com thank you Obrigado
Looks to me like it needs a flywheel to help keep the pedaling smooth.
major point. I had a bike like this decades ago, it's a real issue. You can see the problem in the areal views very clearly.

But can you do a drive by with an uzi on it?
There are different versions. So why configure with dropdowns, aerobars, cleated pedals, etc? Some variations appear configured like a stationary trainer on water. I don't use a helmet indoors, but know some competitive cyclist that always train on their stationary in full-gear.
I supposed the bike-boat concept is to give cyclists options to train different environments. Seems highly inefficient for that purpose. Like another poster mentioned, it might really benefit from something like a flywheel for a more balanced pedal cadence. Other models appear configured less technical with flat handlebars, etc.
Because the bicycle propulsion component is not integrated at a lower profile, does the rider risk becoming a human sail? The effect of wind on open water (ponds, lakes, seas) blowing against less aerodynamic clothing, backpacks (etc) may create enough negative force to inhibit safe navigation. Not to mention the effect of currents and tides (rivers, streams, oceans). How does it handle boat wakes and waves? It's wide bulky tri-hull stance should help it stay upright.
A possible adventure workout scenario on your new Red Shark:
It's beautiful day in nature to drop your Red Shark in at a favorite canoing spot. You're enjoying the scenery and enjoying the attention you're getting with your Red Shark and lycra-spandex singlet with time-trial helmet...
As you proudly pedal and wave to admirers, sipping from your camel-back pack, you begin to notice you're really picking up speed ... this is awesome! Then realize... Oh No, the current is getting stronger!
You can't generate enough power against a crosswind to move to shore! You spot a sign saying something about falls ahead and to yield to commercial vehicles when entering locks - LOCKS!
Then you hear the blast of a huge coal barge approaching behind you.... Flashes in your mind of plummetting over the falls, run over by the barge, or crushed by large boats while trapped in the locks...
Then suddenly, you're towed to shore by some 11 year old kids in a john-boat with a 1960's 15hp evenrude outboard motor puffing blue smoke. You spy an ad for jet skis in the newspaper the kids were using to wrap fish guts.
^^ THIS ^^
Here in the Lake of Como in Italy, you can use it in the morning, with no wind, and flat water, to cross the 4 kms of the lake from one side to the other side, without problems. Of course, in the afternoon, with the wind, it's better to not use it. The bikers her, even, ride in the morning without wind on the streets, and not in the afternoon against the strong wind.
@@ilakemybike You are right! we have to find the best environment where to cycle and with the new RedShark (on our last videos) we can practice cycling on incredible places. Thank you for your comment
Thank you for your comment. People have to be aware of where to cycle and take into account the weather conditions, but it is a new way of exploring, always with awareness and reading our manual to use it properly.
@@RedSharkBikes Here in the morning without the wind it a pure show !
Aerobars? Very useful at 20+ mph but I doubt such speed is possible on this thing. Unfastened frame bag slid down, but nobody cares. Model has no idea how to pedal and what is cadence. Everything is just brilliant in this ad :)
Yes, and you know she's a professional something by looking at her thighs.. not a professional cyclist, but a professional something... LOL

This is the stupidest thing I've ever seen... I need one!
Stupid and desperate for attention yeah yeah yeah

Nice idea, but at the end of the day all that mass and resistance has to be propelled with human power. There are more portable, faster, cheaper and lighter water bike alternatives. Sorry, that's the truth.
Thank you for your comment, we have designed a new product called bike surf and it is as you say a cheaper and lighter waterbike, also produced with the best quality in Europe. Take a look at our lasts videos!
in many shots she seems to be going backwards :-) and wearing a helmet on a boat with no life jacket is just dumb.

At the speed she is pedalling, hitting the water feels like cement. Oh hold on, i am watching this at x100 speed.
