Should have been from Quimir's pov, like imagine him being an Avolyte who's story we follow and slowly learn more of the back story. Tbh if I were an acolyte or sith hunting jedi, I would have used a blaster to finish the jedi off and direct the killings as a bounty hunter with such skill or perhaps a skilled mandalorian bounty hunter. And to stray the jedi away from thinking a saber wielding maniac exists

The green lady is on the high council is most likely a sith that’s why. She’s basically trying to cover the whole thing up while acting likes she trying to investigate. Wouldn’t be surprised if she ends up killing the Jedi she took in her group I could be wrong but I think that’s what is gonna happen.

I’m sorry the hate on the show is a bit over board. IMO this show the past few weeks has been pretty enjoyable and keeps me intrigued. Could we just let it end first then give it a proper rating.

Master Venestra is the Sith Lord. Qimir has whip marks. She was the hooded figure in episode 3. Master Venestra using her whip-saber is a MacGuffin. There was no reason for the moth to attack. No lights were shining and they had not attacked the Jedi when they moved through the area before. They needed to show that she had a whip-saber. They also made it a point to show the marks on Qimir’s back at least twice. Those are the marks of someone who was flogged as a disciplinary action. A whip is used for flogging.
Edit: I think Venestra is hiding in plain site like Sidious. She was Qimir’s Jedi master and secret sith master. She casts him aside for Tenebrous. This would make the timeline somewhat close. Plaguis would be be way too old if he shows up now.

@@R3M073 my timestamp shows 14:12. The two mothers are in the scene. There is a cloaked person behind them. Specifically behind Mother Koril. This character is off from the group in the wide outs and the only one hooded and faceless. It is also interesting she is in frame with the two mothers immediately after Mother Aniseya says “we were on the brink of extinction, and then, we were blessed with a miracle. The gift of life”. She then looks at Mother Koril. My guess is that this is Master Venestra. I also think that she is the one that slaughtered the witches. There has to be another flashback. In trailers they show Kelnacca fighting a young Torbin. Episode 7 will be another flashback episode.

I didn't think I would have this much to say about this show, but this has become the most talked about show this year! and Rings of Power Season 2 haven't even been releast yet! Sigh! Not that I'm watching the Acolyte! I only watch reviews and watch long reactions, to get a sense of if its a show I'd watch, and when I hear about the show that is enough for me to start laughing!
However, the most interesting thing that the show have shown to me is Cortosis!
I didn't know about cortosis until the Acolyte! And yea, it seems to OP to be in Star Wars!
Because if a character have a cortosis- helmet, bracers, crossguard and/or shield/buckler?
Or even having a lightsaber/shield with a built in blaster/stun gun like Ezra Bridgers lightsaber in Rebels! Sounds real OP to me!

Why is Yoda not aware of the death of the Jedi?

Why did they not let the Ki-Adi Mundi character be an ancestor to Ki-Adi instead of having him be the actual character? I would fix the birth date issue some what, but not the fact that he knew about force users killing Jedi!
And if they are changing lore, why use that lore as an excuse to rewrite the same lore they are using in a way that changes a character from other movies and sources to be a differant/changed character? Is that a retcon, maybe? Maybe?
Having a "Parent Trap" story with twins(with a actor that is acting the character in the same way, even tho they have been apart for many years!) is either bad directing or bad acting or both.
Jean-Claude Van Damme in Double Impact, and even Twins with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito have beter ways to portray Twins!
FFS even Face Off have beter ways to portray a actor acting a characters behaviour in differant ways by their behaviour in a differant actor!

The one thing that annoys me about Star Wars shows is how short they are comparatively.
30 to 35 minutes an episode for a Star Wars show, to 45 to 50 minutes + for everyone else. Even old cable network TV shows were like 40 +/- per episode.
For episodic shows like Mando, that’s not too much of a deal. But for long format season/series long story shows, it’s really frustrating. Because it feels as if the episode is over just when it should be entering the 3rd act, where everything should be going down, not including an epilogue at that. And I think that this show is hurting from it. Since now I have to wait another week to find out what should’ve happened this week if they only were willing to spend another 10 to 15 minutes extra per episode like everyone else does.
Yeah But Thats How Shows Are. In Fact How Else Else Are You Going To Keep Audiences Off The Seats And Keep On The Subscription.
@@Yoda-93 Keep subscribers, sure. But most aren’t doing that. And this isn’t keeping people on their seats with cliff hangers. It’s just splitting episodes in half so you can call their mini-series (or 3 + hr movie) a season of a tv show,.. and like you said, to keep subscribers around for long enough that they forget that their trail period of over. But the thing is that they are doing that with every SW Live action show in a way which would be better served as a binged show or movie.
If they dropped most of the 2nd half of Kenobi, it wouldn’t be half bad. But it also wouldn’t be enough to call it much more than a mini-series. The same with the Book of Boba Fett, if they dropped the Mando season 2.5 episodes. Ahsoka however, would need either to be trimmed from a lot of the time they are just standing around while the characters think about what to say or add back in a lot of the dialog that Filoni supposedly cut for whatever reason to make it a decent, something. Whereas Mando season 3 could’ve worked if the pushed it back another season or two, to give time for the shift that they did, which made it feel like another show. With the Acolyte, they just need to combine their 2 part episodes into 1 episode, and save and retool episode 3 for either later, with the other pending flashback episode, or for the very beginning.

Here's what I am thinking...Qimir mentions that he was a Jedi a very long time ago, and that had to lose everything in order to be free. I think Qimir is Imir Cantaros...Vernestra's Padawan who she thought died in an explosion at the Starlight Beacon. Imir is a Genetian. He had a strong "Force Empathy" that he had a very hard time controlling. I am guessing that is why Qimir wears the helmet. It not only protects him, it keeps him from being influenced by random emotions. It gives him control. I am guessing at this point Vernestra has felt Qimir's presence and desperately wants to cover up the fact that she left her leaning towards the Dark Side Padawan for dead. He is eliminating her whole team. I am now wondering if Qimir sensed the twins, wanted a pupil, and set the stones on fire on Brendok to break the connection between the girls and their mothers, and to build the rage and loss in the girls so one or both would turn to the Dark Side. I am not convinced that Qimir has a Master other than Vernestra. I am thinking Qimir is a Fallen Jedi, but not necessarily a Sith. I think HE wants to be the Master. I don't know what planet Osha and Qimir are on for this episode...but it looks like their are veins of Cortosis in the cave they are in. That might be blocking anyone "feeling" him in the force. How the Jedi High Council are not feeling this...I don't know. My only thought is that Khofar is in the Outer Rim, far from Coruscant. Also, when Vernestra was talking to the Senator, it sounded like there was an ambitious Senator grasping for power who is no friend to the Jedi...a serious distraction for them perhaps.

The main problem I feel is that this show is trying to show that the Jedi make errors, cover up stuff, are complacent hence why the Sith was able to grow and slowly and get to what they became, I get it, I understand the angle. And in other stories that type of story would work. But the showrunners don't get Star Wars. The Jedi didn't fall because a select few covered up events and try to save there own ego, or there in denial or whatever it is. The Jedi were outplayed by the Sith, in a very very long game of chess. It was a slow burn. The Jedi are still the elite, smart force that they are, but in the end they get out played from a master plan that was set in motion for over a 1000 years. You don't need to shit on the Jedi to show how they fell, even more by shitting on the Jedi and making them look stupid takes it away from the Sith achievement and dedication to the Rule of Two and final vision. They just don't understand the dynamic and are trying to apply an almost normal corporate workplace mentality to the Jedi order, showing that the Jedi are just like us, when in reality the Jedi are nothing like us, they are the best of us.

Giving 10/10 repeatedly is a great sign of a lack of critical thinking. Giving 0/10 repeatedly is a sign of being burned out and having a huge negative bias. That my friends is what this channel has turned into. This episode was easily the most interesting and the one that moved the plot in a more believable way while also addressing some the potential lore breaking things. You all need to get your stuff together and appreciate the little great things this episode has done. QI-Mir has easily become an even more engaging vilain than Kylo Ren at this point. Give him credit for that at least

It’s heavily implied in this episode that they believe Sol turned on the jedi and ran off, which I don’t think is directly indicative of a Sith, don’t get me wrong I think there’s an unreconcilable number of issues with this show, but not acknowledging this and continuing to act like all of the Jedi know for a fact that there’s Sith presence feels disingenuous. You just need to take a beat and wait to see how they choose to explain it before closing your mind. You have valid criticisms, but this is the type of thing that you get flak for. Wish you well bro

Osha kind of wanting to be in the dark side, Mae have split personality disorder, and for dumb reasons no matter what comes next episodes, Sol runs. Wow major!!!! Character development there. Tune in next week where the twins, for absolutely no reason, changes both their minds and switches places. Such good writing mate
@@jaredbezes7806 I agree that the episodes should be much longer. This and the next flashback should’ve been combined. However, the show is now giving you the reason why their motivation switching. Qimir is convincing Osha, Sol is confessing to Mae. The writing here in this episode has been better than 1-4 easily. You can’t say that Osha going from pure light to leaning dark is not major development.

I’m giving this a 4/10. Boring and nothing happened. A waste of $20 million dollars. No neat sets, no neat new costumes, nothing new of exciting. Just a creepy beach bird rat family. It’s dumb and lame.

Funny how everyone reads 3/4 of a book and then judge the entire book. We are 6 episodes in, to watch you freak out because you haven't figured out the climax ending is sad. There's a reason Qimir is revealing the saber whip scar on his back to Osha. There's something Sol is hiding that he has to now go before the Council to "finally reveal" regarding the death of all the witches. Interesting to show off Venestra's whip saber just to kill a bug??? I think Qimir was being trained by Venestra and Venestra is actually an acolyte of the ultimate big bad possibly Tenebrous?? Venestra saying she has to personally take care of this is because she is scensing Qimir who she "left for dead" is actually alive and going rogue. She will probably kill the entire crew of Jedi's with her and she will finish off Qimir and then Sol/Venestra will have face off. Venestra or Sol will then go before the counsil and put blame all on Sol or Venestra as a Rogue Jedi which would eliminate the Sith reveal to Ki-Adi-Mundi. I haven't figured out if the Tenebrous acolyte is Sol or Venestra(my gut is Venestra) Remember the Sith are there in hiding all along up until the Phantom Menace reveal of Maul. At this point there is no mention that this "Sith" reveal has made it up to Ki-Adi-Mundi or the rest of the Counsil. I think we need to let this all play out to see where they are going with it. In the end it all might make sense. But i think we should all hold judgements until we get to the end of the book.

Open your eyes. NOT A SITH. KNIGHTS OF REN. they follow the sameeee moral compass.. the helmet, the clothing style, the fighting style.. all similar to Ren from the comics. They’re connecting and building this show to the sequels through the knights of Ren. Which I would take over the Sith ANY DAY.

I have legitimately watched this show, trying to find the positives, looking forward, giving it the benefit of the doubt, but man, this episode was terrible. It's as if they wanted to make something like TLJ, but shorter, more disjointed, more boring, and with worse dialogue and acting. They tried to do the visual, cinematic angle, but it's all washed out, digital garbage, really. Just lazy all around. They waste so much time on meaningless shots and dialogue for the next mystery with an obvious conclusion. Every character is some symbol of Chekhov's Gun that they think is so clever, such a twist oh my gosh. This episode was the worst of the worst. Like old school scifi channel garbage that takes itself so seriously that it's not even so bad it's good. It's just bad. Someone else made the point: Is this supposed to be for kids? It doesn't seem like it, even though they dropped the rat muppet and the Galaxy's Edge build-your-own-droid sponsored by T Mobile Demo.

It was a pretty good episode, but a huge let down from last week's episode, and I am a tad annoyed at how stupid these Jedi masters seem sometimes. Good nuance though and id some background fleshing out, plus, cool hideout reveal. Worse sin is these episodes are so damn short.

Qirmir and Sol are probably the only two characters I like in this show. Sol is the only one that got the whole jedi vibe right (Actor actually did well in that regard). Eh, well I suppose Jecki was okay too, most cause she was kind of tapping the dark side before her death and I always like seeing jedi give into their emotion and just flip out. cause it usually means a brush with the dark side. All the other characters though just feel silly and mostly pointless. I wonder fi this show would've been better recieved if it were exclusively from, like, Qimir's perspective or something.

Qymir will have been her Padawan, and she knowingly released him to pursue the dark side, having been as a mother to him, and seeing this as a way to allow there to be a balance that she knew the Jedi Order would have forbidden (yet need she will argue).
There will be no consequences for all she has unleashed, as she is clearly grey, like Dooku was believed to be.
Mundi will expose her while she is absent from the temple, earning his place on the council at her expense. More victimisation, more patriarchy.
Now that makes more sense. I hope they will replace her with Mundi and showcase her flaws.

The reason Vernestra Rwoh hasn't reported anything to the high council is because she is the Sith master. She is controlling the narrative. She uses a whip, and Smilo Ren has been whipped, and was at one point a jedi.... A long time ago. Is he a species of human that has a long life, or was he 'carbonited' for a while by his master. Master Rwoh is extremely long lived, and may have kept him on ice until he was needed. Hmmm...

The editing going back and forth between two separate plot threads, that are BOTH boring, just to speed the pacing during filler scenes between both threads was astonishing. What borked pacing
I think this episode alluded to the fact that sol is going to get blamed for the death of the jedis. That is the only way I can see this story ending while staying in line with the prequels.

This was easily the best episode of the series. I liked the Qimir guy a lot here. I'm interested in what his story is over everything else that have happened up to this point. I think a good show could have been made amongst the garbage if they had a better writer.

@@thedigitalbash1506 no. At the time that Mae and Sol get back to the ship (which takes 3 hours) Qimir is just then discovering Osha’s unconscious body in episode 5. Yet in episode 6 Qimir has somehow dragged Osha’s body miles back to his ship and flown to a different system (which takes many hours) bandaged her wound and cooked a meal all before Sol just simply takes off in the ship. Qimir also says “a few hours later it’s vengeance” as in it’s only been a few hours. Every single episode has been like this where hyperspace is treated like teleportation. Mae goes from Olega (which is described as “far” from Coruscant) to Khofar on the outer rim while Sol travels BACK to Coruscant in the core worlds, has a meeting, and then travels to Khofar and somehow magically turns up at Kelnacca’s shack at the same time as Mae. Traveling in hyperspace from the Core worlds to the outer rim should take 96 hours btw. hYpErSpEed TrAvEl eXiSts. lol use your fucking brain for two seconds. We both know that these scenes are supposed to be happing at the same time. That’s how the entire story has operated.
