My respect for Brent went up massively for calling it Football
As a Giants fan and Belfast native I thought I'd provide a bit of context to the Giants logo seeing as it appears you're opinions on the logo were formed without any real research in to the reasoning and design of each which I find disappointing. The 'shirtless caped man' that you reference is Finn McCool a very famous character in Irish Folklore who supposedly built the Giants Causeway on Northern Irelands North Coast in order to cross the Irish Sea to fight the Scottish giant Benadonner. Considering the history of NI and the name 'Giants' Finn is clearly the perfect mascot for the team. As for the colors that you didn't like they were chosen to fit in with the Giants ethos of being a 'neutral' team. Considering Northern Irelands history with sectarian violence and segregation, especially in sports like soccer the club wanted to bring together people of all religious and ethnic backgrounds, using hockey as a common ground. Therefore the giants have stayed away from the traditional red, white and blue colours of british teams or green and gold of irish teams and instead adopted teal, the colour you get when you mix green and blue. In response to Justins comment, it may not fit with hockey but it certainly fits in with the city of Belfast and that means so much more. I know everyone is entitled to their opinion but it would have been nice if more thought/research had gone in to each before an opinion was formed.
I appreciate the information you provided, but the logos were ranked and reviewed without any prior knowledge on purpose. Every opinion in this video is completely unbiased, and part of the fun of it is to roast some of the logos. I even roasted my own favorite team in the NHL when we did that league. It's not meant to be offensive, we are just having fun. The video is also not meant to be educational.

Thanks for this video coming from someone who lives in the U.K. And has season tickets for a uk this was great to see your opinions and what you think about them, the Edinburgh capitals logo is quite interesting actually that is a lion on the logo, it has a significant connection to the Scottish history and there stadium is nicknamed the lions den

Your proximity to Nova Scotia would lead me to believe, you would recognize the Scottish lion
Those lion you see on Edinburgh logo and in a lot of European logos are Heraldic Lions. There is one on P.E.I's provincal flag and in Canada's Coat Of Arms. A lot of people have them in their family crest. I think the guy without a shirt in the Belfast logo is a Celtic Warrior, it's an Irish thing.
That guy on the Belfast Giants logo is actually Fionn mac Cumhaill (Finn MacCool), the giant who was gonna fight the scottish giant Benandonner. Finn is the one that built the Giant's Causeway in Gaelic folklore, (one of) The most famous place(s) in Northern Ireland.
I've heard of the story but I didn't put the two and two together. Thank you for that.
The Edinburgh one's based on the Scottish Lion Rampant, which was the official heraldry of the Scottish crown before the Act of Union.
Given Edinburgh's the capital and has a castle, previously a royal residence, it's actually quite a fitting logo.

Great video but here's a quick suggestion. When you show the picture or the logos you should also show a picture of a player wearing the Jersey on the ice.

The storm's logo is meant to be a goalie mask
Really wish they could do a logo video for the BUIHA (British University Ice Hockey Association). Some really cool logos being used, especially when you appreciate they're non professional clubs run by students
The giant on the belfast logo is a symbol of northern Ireland and is our mascot for that reason

Not looked through all the comments to see if this is mentioned but the Sheffield Steelers logo is a welder which references the local steel industry that is world famous so much so that the Stanley cup that your NHL teams battles over was created in Sheffield.

The man in the logo is not just a random man with a cape he is Finn McCool a local legend who was a Giant, google his story and maybe you can understand a bit better. Keep up the good work!
The Lion logo is a stylised version of a popular heraldic symbol of Scotland. (Google for images of "Scottish Lion Rampant". ) The outline is neither yellow, brown nor beige but in fact gold. It looks great as an embroidered patch on hockey jerseys or clothing merchandise.
Sheffield is the city of steel known for there making of awsome steel products. That's why that's the name and logo BTW steelers fan here!

The Storm logo is a hockey mask with the M A as reference to the city and as the wire protecting the goalie the lightning behind it Is to show the storm behind Manchester and show its hockey

The lion on the Edinburgh capitals logo fits because Edinburgh is in Scotland and the second Scotland flag has a rampant lion on it which is red and the capitals come from Edinburgh being the capital city of Scotland
Great video. I’m a Dundee Stars fan myself and even can admit that old logo used was very bad haha. We do have a new logo tho which is lot cleaner and more professional. Just shame you guys never saw it.

FYI, the Cardiff Devils are defending League champions. The Sheffield Steelers won the Playoff cup but it works different to NA where the league is considered the most important; the playoff is a separate title of it's own entity which is probably next important and Challenge Cup (which the Devils also won) is last. In EIHL terms, the Devils are considered defending Champions.

Because of a poor Post Season, the Championship is awarded to Regular Season Champs in the EIHL. Cardiff came top 2016-17, and qualified for CHL as a result.
Belfast Giants logo is based on mythology here of Finn McCool the giant.
Dundee Stars have a new logo
You can be forgiven for missing the two logo's as technically they weren't in the EIHL yet as they hadn't played a game only joined the EIHL for the season that started this month.
The person in the middle of the Giants logo is Finn McCool from the Giants Causeway as a Giants fan myself I think the older one was better.

Just to let you know, Over here the League winners are awarded the Championship (and entry to the CHL) the playoffs aren't as big a deal as they are in every other hockey league

The Edinburgh Capitals logo is a lion, specifically the lion rampant - the Scottish royal crest. Edinburgh is capital of Scotland so it makes sense.
Also, there's 16 teams in EIHL, not 10.
