I have a 2019 4 cylinder. Every year. I have to add about a pint of coolant to the coolant system to get it to the full mark on the tank . Then its fine. ( if its not on the full mark then it seems to vaper lock the water pump) poor design

It's most likely just because the AC condenser is in front of the radiator and when you turn on the AC, it dumps the heat that the evaporator removed from inside the cab into the condenser.

I can say 190°F is normal. I own Chevy Colorado 2019 V6, 57,500 Miles, and its works when is running speedy or slow, with AC on. I haven't saw that thermometer go up to 210°F.

It should not go over 210 that is not normal. Mine 2018 226743 miles never gets over 190 never not even on a hot day in traffic

Well in my case I got a 2020 canyon. temp was going up to the red zone. This is how I fix it. So I let it the cool off 1st then turn it on up to normal temp(line before 210) then turn off the car and really slowly opened the reservoir slightly just let air out. Once it was safe to open put some coolant and problem went away!! Shout out to Mrlatigue that post it this same method on the messages below

These trucks tend to have many little weird problems like this but they rarely just brake down it's just more annoying cause u never know if it will break down
