friction Drilling is when you use a Harbor Freight drill set to drill into stainless steel.

but you can get a 30 piece ratchet set for 99 cents lol.
My neurosurgeon used this method when drilling into my skull. It was rather painful; especially when clamping my head to the drill press ..
but, he was able to thread the hole afterwards, to install a used drainplug from a small block V8.
I had planned to say more ...
but, I can't remember what it was about.

I love the way this guy speaks with such passion for what he does, like you can hear the smile of his face. He could read an algebra text book cover to cover and make it sound like lord of the rings.
I've seen tapped holes like that in thin-wall material before, but I always thought it was some kind of insert. Learn something new every day!!
Jeremy Schmidt if it looked like an insert it probably was a nutsert.
Doug Reed those are cool and all when new but lord help ya if the fastener rusts in it and it slips the whole insert upon trying to loosen the fastener.
Apply buttloads of your favorite antisieze to em.

You have a great voice for radio and your ability to tell a video camera what to do was impeccable.
The Ladies love tungsten carbide... “it stays hard under extreme friction” 😂
I prefere thoriated tungsten, might as well throw depleted radioactive isotopes into your work environment to heat things up 😈
5:55 “ Cungsten tunglide” !!!!
😂🤣😂
As you said - tungsten doesn't expand much from heat. When you let it cool down, the steel shrunk and you had a really nice tight and strong shrink fitting there :)
I love when you say "focus you fuck" to the camera.

I had a Tungsten Carbide wedding ring. First day at work at a new job, it slipped off my finger, hit the concrete and cracked through on one side.
stonent
did you take the hint?
That sucks but it's not too surprising. While she's harder than frig it's also brittle as.
Jmann147 nah, just the wrong cementing. cobalt cintered carbide is untouchable, but i'm not sure what it's like for toxicity, what with the cobalt.
I just stopped wearing it since the crack was snagging on hair.
They say if you ever get a tungsten wedding ring stuck and need to get it off, don't try to cut it, just put some vice grips on it and keep doing a 1/4 turn or put it in a vice and slowly tighten. It will eventually just crack and fall off under the pressure without any harm to your hand.
