My God Terry you’ve never lost it. You were my hero back in the late 60’s when I was just a teenage girl of 15yrs and here I am again almost 70yrs and still lost in your soul. I said it a million times no one , NO ONE could ever put in the performances you did, not then or since. I’m in bits ❤
I listened to Terry Reid back in the 70’s, we were both much younger then! I knew every word to every song. I knew he was very special then and am so happy to see he is still at it. ❤️🙏🏻
I discovered Terry Reid only recently. I fell in love with all his earlier performances on here but wondered what this would be like as singers can so often disappoint when they are older. Having read the comments I decided to listen. I don’t have words to describe how amazing I think this is. So good I am almost in tears. Just sublime.
To anyone on this planet to have been blessed to have met and know of Terry Reid and his music, you know what I mean when I say this performance is the finest on UA-cam. This goes beyond a musician singing a song. This is greatness personified. This is a true soul performance.
I just heard about mr. Reid today when I was listening to Joe Bonamassa who was playing one of Terry reids guitars that had been stolen off of set back in the 70s long story short after a thousand years missing Terry Reid finally has his Les Paul guitar back! I love Joe Bonamassa and I love this story he told and he said to give Mr reid a listen and I'm sure happy I listened and gave him a listen
I guess almost nobody's found this video. Just 155 likes, what a tragedy! Terry, if you happen to read this, thanks man, you're one of my heroes. There's no-one I'd rather meet than you. I bought River and Seed of Memory when they came out and I still listen to you more than anyone else. I've listened to River so much I even understand almost all the lyrics. But who cares, right? You change them every time you sing; you're like a blues guitarist who chooses his notes so carefully and never repeats a solo. Love you, brother.
I too bought River when it came out. Terry Reid was the 'coolest' at the time and he is from a little known place and a little known county in the UK - Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire. I am from there too and although I am not a rock legend he was and is a massive inspiration
The only reason that Terry isn't known by everyone is because he had pride and morals. He didn't need to be a Rockstar,he is a artist. He refused to prostitute himself,or play the games people play. And like you said he has soul, and a Soul.
You speak from my heart. Terry Reid, he and his music have accompanied me for over 50 years, is a fantastic musician who hardly anyone, even in my circle of friends, knows. It is incomprehensible and I don't know why. He fascinated me back in the 70s and everyone I knew who introduced his music to was enthusiastic. I still feel that way today and it almost makes me sad that so few fans of good music know about him.
Saw Terry in '69 at Forum in LA. He was on the bill with BB King, Ike and Tina Turner and the Stones. I'd heard him on recordings but live he was too soulful to even describe just as good as it gets. And now with this performance he has inspired me all over again. What an artist this man is. Excellent work Roman Candle, thank you.
A cocoon of pure poetry - with a light touch of sadness; lyrical warmth and the right depth of passion. Why have I only discovered Terry Reid this past week . . . a gem of a musician. Keep creating, singing and playing as long as you can Mr. Reid - the world needs you. What a legacy.
the BBC recorded version in '73 was one of the best things my ears have ever heard. thank you Terry Rayd for all your amazing work one of the best vocalists and songwriter I have ever heard
Came across this, having enjoyed so many of Terry's songs, was a mind blown moment. the extra base added to his voice with that age crackle just adds something so special to this sound. its like a very fine wine that's sharp and full during its younger years, now its aged mellowed and refined to perfection.
Very late finding this, I first saw Terry at ' Progressive Night ' at a club in Wolverhampton probably 1970, have been a fan ever since ( can I be a fan at 76 ? ). The organiser apologized for the increased admission charge to book Terry, the normal groups for this night were local start ups so probably playing for petrol money ! I purchased the Super Lungs vinyl album and every subsequent release since then, Thanks Terry
Even with all his famous (loaded) "great mates"........ Terry Reid still has to sell his old iconic guitars to get by...but he's the real deal....as you said you got to love Terry Reid ! Bless xx
Dunning Guitars Thank you Man, Tense FX shot this, there is a link to the Facebook page in the description. We have more coming from this show very soon. Best, R.C. m.facebook.com/RomanCandlePromotions/
Would you prefer the plastic popstars of today? He may be old and his voice ain't what it was but that performance was pure emotion and passion and a pleasure to watch.👍

Agreed ❤
Just heard this version today after reading a Guardian article about Terry Reid.
Am now a fan, it's never too late!

I still love you as I did in 1969. You are such a great writer, musician and artist. We love you Terry Reid!

He would have more likes if he joined Led Zeppelin

its September 2023. I've been a Terry Reid fan since the 70s. I quite literally fell into the rabbit hole and found this. WOW!
You speak from my heart. Terry Reid, he and his music have accompanied me for over 50 years, is a fantastic musician who hardly anyone, even in my circle of friends, knows. I saw Terry in 1969...it was as great as you'd imagine! Really cool to see he's still great after half a century.

Age has tempered Terry Reid’s unique voice over the past 50+ years, but he could really soar vocally back in the day, he really could.
This is what greatness sounds like kids !
looks like your dad, sings like your hero
Actually he looks like my son and has been my hero since 1968, but hey we all get old one day.
Total lesson in the delivery of emotion, pure talent

Did Rob Zombie help you with this discovery?
the BBC recorded version in '73 was one of the best things my ears have ever heard. thank you Terry Rayd for all your amazing work one of the best vocalists and songwriter I have ever heard
The BBC version is way better than the album version - almost like a different song.
I’m shocked a lot of people don’t know about this amazing artist. And I was born in 1995 🥴
I’m obsessed with him
Beautiful song and Beautiful voice!!
Wonderful, unique. One of the greatest vocalists ever ❤

I'm SO glad I discovered Terry Reid, this is what I call a great talent...That voice! You can feel everything.
Love his voice, his soul

Funny to see a guy who lost all rock star glamour, but as soon as he starts singing it still there, all of it.
Love Terry Reid. I would love for him and Nash to re-visit Seed of Memory.
Even with all his famous (loaded) "great mates"........ Terry Reid still has to sell his old iconic guitars to get by...but he's the real deal....as you said you got to love Terry Reid ! Bless xx

un gran cantate con una hermosa voz 😊
I try to emulate Terry when I play guitar and play it in that half assed pissed up fashion but I just sound pissed up where he just sounds so good.
