    Yep the video I'm looking for is very unpopular. I just searched for recent videos for a pickup and this is just what I wanted. Thanks for this video/review!

    Pretty curious to see how the soundhole pickups are working for you.

    This pickup looks really interesting for somebody who doesn't want a soundhole pickup with a cable hanging out. But I've read a couple of negative reviews. One said that tightening the strings caused the pickup to ride up the saddle, and he eventually broke strings trying to get it right. Another said it somehow got bound up between the pegs and the saddle and crack the bridge. Did you have any trouble getting yours installed? Thanks.

      Interesting, and no, I didn’t have any trouble at all. I didn’t use it for months or in a gigging situation, so maybe that would have come in to play, but it was easy and solid to me.

      @@SteveGuitar KNA sent me drawings showing how much room is needed between saddle and pegs and how high the saddle has to be. Probably the guitars of the people who had trouble didn't have enough room.

    That pickup sounds good Steve! Did you consider Taylor's ES-Go. My GS Mini (which also isn't an "E" version) has a bracket installed for that if I chose to install later.

      Scott Rempel hey Scott! Yep, I tried the ES Go back then but wasn’t wild about it. It also requires drilling to avoid a grounding problem. At the end of the day, I do like a built in pickup with a preamp, but these KNAs are a great option

      @@SteveGuitar Thanks Steve..... I too have heard mixed (mostly bad) reviews on the ES-Go. Didn't know you had to drill, as the video I watched made it look like it was pre-drilled already? Maybe depends on year of the guitar. Thanks for clarifying, and weighing in, - take care!

    • @SteveGuitar
      @SteveGuitar  4 роки тому

      Scott Rempel oh yeah, I should have said… You don’t have to drill, but the ESGO naturally has a little buzzing noise, and they sell a grounding wire kit that you can optionally add, with a tiny drilling hole under the input jack. Anyway, without that, it sounds pretty good, but not like a really good Taylor.

      @@SteveGuitar Thanks for finding this.... that makes the ESGO even less attractive as an option.
