We use to fish for strippers from the shore near the SF airport for years using our steelhead rigs and cast masters with buck-tails, rapalas and hair-raisers, so much fun, especially on midnight high-tides...thanks for sharing!!!
Bass are definitely thick in the bay right now. Still so much bait around. Topwater is very tough. Have mostly gotten them to commit when they were already busting on bait back in the marsh inlets, and on calm early mornings when the tides are right and it is very calm, almost glassy.
Nick, great to see back posting and on "shore". I remember you fishing in the harbor there and you were surrounded by surfacing stripers. Specifically what model is that rod model? You prefer the LC to Calissa? I've fished there a few times without luck. Need to try it again. What months/season is best?
great video! i was wondering where this is, i moved out here for school and have no idea where to fish for striper here in the bay. any help would be great thank you!
One thing I don't like about straight braid is the fish can get tangled in it, which ruins the fight because it's physically restricting. Also harms the fish if you release like I do. I went back to a short 18" fluoro leader. Tight lines y'all!🤘

Plugging from shore like it's the east coast. Hellz yeah. Get that striper!
Good to see stripers on that Hawaiian custom. It's my favorite rod for a lighter setup and casts way out there.
Where is this located in the bay area. ?
Bro congrats on your fishing adventure tanks for posting your videos have a great day out there

Is it usaly that good there. I might go in a week or two.
Nice catches! See ya on the salt again sometime!
Do you know if Stripers are available there now? March?
Maybe!
Do you know if that you use straight braid, would they care?
Most of the time they don't care. I've caught them with straight braid many times

Nick is that Hawaiian custom 10 foot rod "ideal" for casting the Lucky Craft for surf perch and/or stripers ?
Yes!
@@NickFish007 Thanks! Fish tourney coming up?
@@theoldsurffisher1943 I just had one recently. I will have another one next May!
What day was this and what tide?
What reel is that on the okuma ?
Okuma Helios SX. It's their carbon fiber reel, I like it a lot!
What kind of lure is that bro
Lucky Craft Flash Minnow 110
Hey we make perfect swimbaits for the SF Bay Area striped bass go check us out we have been slaying them recently
Not true, you can use as many rods as you can handle surf fishing, 2 rods in inland waters with your 2 rod stamp and what you mentioned in this video.
Not true
If you are in the bay what Nick said is correct. This video looks like it was taken in the bay.
Nice man I just caught a 26 incher on a lure yesterday
