- Hello everybody, and welcome to another episode of Preserved Bus Adventures!
In this video we're going to our first bus rally! Okay so maybe it's not my first bus rally... I've been to a lot of bus rallies in my time! But today it's going to be our first bus rally all together!
Town and District Transport Trust (TDTT) are taking three buses over to the Skipton Running Day. I have been asked to drive my late friends Dennis Dart Plaxton Pointer in Pennine livery, a bus which in its day frequented the country roads of Skipton.
Unfortunately due to circumstances I also ended up driving a Leyland Olympian Palatine 1! It's a right day of adventures!

Great to watch, thankyou. I have an EFE OO-scale model of a Pennine Dart. It is on my American HO-scale Model Railroad. I like the prototype and model so much - I just don't care.
I rode many olypians in the early 90s and a few of the other orange and black one, with the number 8 on it. Amazing to see some still working and not just rusted out in a scrappers!
We need to see one of your buses in the Joe ahead livery just like Bus company sim!

Really nice to watch this, I am in a preservation group myself and I co-own 2 buses within that group. A Volvo citybus and an Optare Spectra 🙂

I remember that London United had a fleet of those Dart buses at Hounslow garage. I think there were some at Chiswick and Uxbridge depots as well.

D15 and the olympian are both absolutely gorgeous buses!🤩😁 I wish there was model of them (well there kind of is - in the form of a corgi or EFE step dart but one has to repaint it oneself - I'm really surprised there still isn't a mk1 palatine casting tho!)

Dennis Darts are some of the best buses ever made
Would love a trip on an olympian. Reminds me of going to school in the late 90s/early 2000s. First calderline blue and white olympians. Them were the days.

Sorry! We only watched it back on our desktop pc... weirdly enough it didn't do it last time and we didn't alter the settings haha
@@JoeDobsongaming It's the first time I've noticed it on any of your videos but eitherway wasn't an issue I just swapped to mono which fixed it regardless still enjoyed the video lol

Hi Isaac! I’d like to get 60820 on the road asap, but unfortunately there’s only so much money in the pot right now, and 66780 needs a repaint before I’m allowed to use it 🤷🏻♂️ so 60820 might see the road next year

I’d rather have spent the money on the B10 rather than a repaint 🤷🏻♂️ but it’s what I agreed to when purchasing the B7 so I can’t upset First 😆

I do have a bus license though I’m not employed as a full time bus driver. I only have two buses, neither of these today were mine, but I’m aiming to restore the ones I have to a nice condition to show at days like this 😄

Hiya! I’m not a bus driver in real life but I have passed my bus driving test. The different buses are owned by a preservation group where I keep my two buses so if they’re ever short of drivers they give me a call 😊
Oh nice 😁 I have a provisional PCV and was given a contract with firstbus leeds but it came at an unfortunate time when wages were being cut so it wasn't economical for me to stay at the job ☹️ but keep up the great videos and I may see you at the dewsbury bus rally 😁

I feel that you have a very aggressive driving style. If so it can't be appriciated by the riders. I feel that with heavy equipment in general slow planned movements is prefered.
