Chaos & Colour is an album which bristles with explosive classic rock guitars, supreme harmonies, and Heep’s famously generous keyboard foundation. “One Nation, One Sun” is a journey of soaring balladic contemplation, “Fly Like An Eagle” takes the listener on a journey of meditation, whilst “Closer To Your Dreams” is a battle cry for all rockers to get out there and do it, with Shaw imploring that “So many have tried but slipped away/Now it’s time for you to have your say.”
During the entire album, Bernie Shaw’s timeless vocals sit expertly beside the band’s phenomenal artistry (Mick Box - guitar, Phil Lanzon - keyboard, Russell Gilbrook - drums, Dave Rimmer - bass), rounding out exceptional performances throughout.
Produced by Jay Ruston, and engineered by Pieter Rietkerk, Chaos & Colour is a superb album of quality hard rock from the pioneers of the genre who continue to create top class material. Old fans will be reinvigorated whilst new fans will surely find Chaos & Colour an exceptional discovery. In this, their 53rd pioneering year as a band, Chaos & Colour sees Uriah Heep throwing down more life, light and energy than peers 40 years their juniors.
Chaos & Colour is available to purchase in Black and Coloured Vinyl configurations, as a standard CD Digipak, a Deluxe CD packaged in a hardcover book with Uriah Heep’s Chaos & Colour signature patch and in digital formats.

British hard rock legends Uriah Heep are one of the “big four” rock bands, along with Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, and certainly one of the most intriguing bands both musically and lyrically, to emerge from heavy rock.
Evoking an era when prog, hard rock and heavy metal co-existed in an era of glorious, boundary-breaking music, Uriah Heep rose from inexperienced studio musicians with everything to prove to bona fide limo inhabiting rock stars.
After selling over 40 million albums worldwide, over the years Uriah Heep have influenced many different metal bands around the globe, among the most popular being Dio. Bands including A-ha, King Diamond, Krokus, Demons & Wizards, Fifth Angel and Axel Rudi Pell have all cited Uriah Heep as a band of personal influence, while W.A.S.P and Tesla have covered the band’s songs.
Jeff Scott Soto ❤️
Awesome singer! 👍🤘🔥
Demo Line Up
Jeff Scott Solo - Vocals (Axel Rudi Pell, Yngwie Malmsteen)
Richie Faulkner - Guitars (Judas Priest)
Bruno Agra - Drums (We Are Harlot)
and most probably Dave Rimmer - Bass (as he co-wrote the song with soto, not stated on the cover)
NO KEYBOARDS! NO HAMMOND.
Very intersting to compare this Heavy Metal Demo to the Hardrock-Uriah-Heep-Album version. Very different.
Buy the Deluxeversion of the CD with very nice book-cover, Bonus track (this demo) and a textile patch.
It's really Dave Rimmer, Jeff wrote about it on his FB.
Thank you for your comment. Is there no information on this demo in the booklet in terms of musicians? I have to decide which version to buy.
And Sons of Apollo Ecc.
Richie's Guitar & Jeff - Scott's spicy vocs vibe! 🤘👏💷💵
Very cool song and quite interesting to listen to the demo
Wollman Skating Rink 1973 … and they’re still kicking it. Whaaaat?!?!?!
Very cool! Love this raw take and yet it makes me appreciate the album version at the same time.
this version has a lot of energy, but Uriah Heep's soul to perform his compositions is unsurpassed!
When Jeff Scott Soto's voice comes on, the level goes up at least 10 notches
Not really
Súper 🎵🎶
💯x💯 💥 👍
I prefer the final album version but it's super cool to hear this rawer version with Soto on vocals. I wonder if he also did a demo like this for Grazed By Heaven
hell yeah !!!
I gotta say the drummer Mick picked to take over for Lee Kerslake is a bit like Ozzy replacing Randy Rhoads. Both tasks were pulled off as well or better than could be expected.
I can't wait to find the CD of this, anything Uriah Heep is hard to find in stores here in Canada

That doesn't sound like Bernie at lead vocals.
Jeff Scott Soto - vocals, Richie Faulkner - guitar, Davey Rimmer - bass, Bruno Agra - drums.
its J.S.S. JEFF SCOTT SOTO. SANG FOR JOURNEY, YNGWIE MALNSTEEN IN 84, 85.
Bernie is lots better, not much depth in his vocals, very boring…
