The buoyant, blistering single “Save Me Tonight”, feels at once like a cry for lost love and an expression of COVID era pain. “I think that’s the beauty of a good lyric,” smiles founding member Mick Box. “A good lyric means that you can interpret it in many ways, and it’s so important to me when writing a lyric that it has those avenues to go in. It is the first single and opening track of the album, and is made for rock radio, and will surely be included on our new set list in 2023” enthuses Box.
The single was written by bass guitarist Dave Rimmer and Jeff Scott Soto, who has been the vocalist for the likes of Journey and Yngwie Malmsteen. “’Save Me Tonight’ comes from a place of frustration and helplessness living through these unprecedented past couple of years but hanging on to this raging hope that we would all meet again!” Rimmer comments.
Chaos & Colour is the energetic and triumphant 25th studio album from the hard rock progenators. It is an album which bristles with explosive classic rock guitars, supreme harmonies, and Heep’s famously generous keyboard foundation. “Save Me Tonight” shows the band’s weighty yet blistering chops, whilst “One Nation, One Sun” is a journey of soaring balladic contemplation. “Fly Like An Eagle” takes the listener on a journey of meditation, and “Closer To Your Dreams” is a battle cry for all rockers to get out there and do it.

I´m 41 years old and I was a child my father always listen to Uriah Heep in our turntable, today I listen to Uriah Heep like my father
My old man only had Demons & Wizards, but I wore it out as a kid in the 80's. Then I found a box at a flea market with ALL their records. I promptly purchased them, went home, packed a bowl, and listened to all of them. So amazing.
I discovered them in my dads record collection in 1994. I got hooked of course. Im glad they are still writing great music.

This is a brilliant album. It was not expecting how vital it sounds and how good the songs are. Miles ahead of some of their '70s peers who still releasing music.

They sound amazing for their age but come on man, have respect for the original lineup. 1970s Heep was magical. The song craftsmanship from that era is well beyond anything produced since.

I thought Saxon, Scorpions, Priest and Purple were making great new music but this is miles ahead of that pack. Just amazing, so fresh yet so familiar 👍👍👍

Agree. I love all their era's, even the John Sloman era that gets a lot of criticism. I always thought Conquest is a great album no matter what. I don't think they ever had a weak line up. Maybe the one with Steff Fointane? Difficult to say since there is not much material to judge ;-)

Heard this for the first time on Planet Rock yesterday 9/12/22. All the components of a classic hard rocking Heep track wrapped into three and a half minutes. No filler, no excess, all goodness.

I'm going to see them tonight with my 2 daughters, I'm expecting a great show, they still sound as day one although only one of the original line up remains, still the sound is there!.
Have a lot of fun. Saw them with my son in September. It was fantastic. Of course they are different band today, but still very good.
