I was 17 years old in 1982 and a big fan of Accept since the albums Im a Rebel and especially Breaker. Man that album blew us away. I then got the see Accept in Arnhem in the Netherlands in "de Stokvishal" on the first of october of that year. Other bands where Exciter and Savage from the Netherlands and Bodine (with Arjen Lucassen / Ayreon on guitar). Main act was Accept. Please take note that the Fast a Shark album wasnt out yet so nobody new these songs and especially Fast as a Shark. It was also the first time I saw Udo in his military gear and short hair. Which was also very different from other metal bands. I think there where 800 visitors who absolutely had no idea what hit them when they started the intro of Fast as a shark. First the heidiheidollalaa and then the pounding drums and riff. The whole audience was just stunned I remember.. If a tidal wave came at us and we couldnt move.. Mouth open gasping for breath.. No clue wat was happening. I have never experienced anything like that again. Total disbelief of what I was hearing, hardly anyone heard music like that before, the birth of speedmetal. And played with such preciseness and skill, the twin solos. I think I had a nekinjury for months from headbanging from the rest of the concert. Almost 40 years ago, I have see many many rock and metal concerts, all the greats, (Motorhead, Saxon, Priest, Metallica, Maiden, Raven, Y&T etc etc all in their early years) in my time but this concert was something from another planet. This song is considered to be the first Thrash Metal/Speed Metal song ever and it is a MASTERPIECE!!!! I still remember my first listen of Fast As A Shark from the Restless And Wild album back in 1987 at barely 10 years old. I was very confused when I first listened to the intro before Udo's scream and band came in. Restless And Wild is my favorite Accept album, and Fast As A Shark is one of my all time favorite songs ever. This live version is PHENOMENAL!! The current lineup of Accept is still putting out great albums, and still do incredible shows.
Without doubt, the most underated metal band of all time. They are so frickin good. Both with Udo and Mark. Had the pleasure of seeing them live many times, unfortunately always as an opening act. Could listen / watch them for hours.
I wouldn't call Accept "underrated". I mean, both 'Balls to the Wall' and 'Restless and Wild' are considered among the greatest Metal albums ever made, right along side masterpieces like Ace of Spades, Painkiller, Masters of Reality, Powerslave, Master of Puppets, and Holy Diver.
Hell Yeah I love U.D.O and Accept I’m 21 going on 22 later this year and I’ve loved Rock And Metal since I was a kid when my Dad got me into classic rock n roll and heavy metal Udo Dirkschneider is one of my favourite metal singers I saw U.D.O Live 2 years ago here in Edmonton on March 16th 2018 at The Starlite Room when they played Accept songs for the last time it was a great show and I’ll always forever love rock and metal until the day I die🤘
Funny thing is, Bruce is actually a very talented musician. Look up some of his shit on UA-cam. It’s not badass like Accept. But pretty impressive nonetheless.
YESSSSSS ... this convinced me to play guitar ... 30 years ago ... what a cooooooool guitar duo solooooo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yesss ... the drummer is ... goooooooooood !
This song was my first meeting with metal music in 80s... can't forget that feeling.... just awesome.... But this version... especially this drummer..... uuuuuuuuuuuh Holy shit..... EXCELLENT!!!!!
As a ten year old kid back in 1982 Restless and wild was my very first album that i bought with my own saved money. And i still think its their best album after all this time.
Imagine back in 1983, you're 15 years old, after school you go to the record store, discover a new album of Accept, haven't read or heard anything of it yet, still the previous disk was good so you buy, get home, are very curious what you just bought, put the needle on the disc, and then.... Aaaaarrrhhhh. So many years later you still remember you first got completely surprised by the intro (WTF is this..) and then you were totally blown away... Fantastic
Saw them last year here in Rio and I must say that they were brilliant. Amazing performance. They kicked some serious as !! Hope to see them again soon.
Renato Rossignoli dude... I am 48 years old and just went for a run and remembered that since I was a kid I would cry every fkn time I heard that solo!!!
One of the best pieces in metal. Perfectly composed and impeccably performed. That double guitar and the drumming is awesome. Heard this stuff first time some 35 yrs ago and still love it. Btw, i like that Wolf's facial expression @ 3:00. It's like he's telling: "Look guys, in't it great?"

Just got Restless And Live double CD/ DVD combo. It is another great live album from Accept. The double CD has 27 songs on it and 14 of them are from their three latest albums.
the first one I heard from Accept, my brother took that old tape to home; Accept, Maiden, ACDC, I felt in love immediately, we fought so hard for that old tape many times, so lovely memories
I love the I Am a rebel album restless & wild and Balls to the Wall, they are one of the most important rockacts from Deutschland , the leadguitarist wolff hofmann is very well a talentful guitarist
First time I heared this one, was in Italy, on a camping near the Idro lake, beginning of the eighties.. where a hardrock guy (we were still teenagers) put it on, loud, and said 'so, this one is for my Austrian neighbours!' haha Took me years to figure out that this song was Accept.
Accept é uma das bandas que mais amo , pois comecei no metal com a mesma, assim como Balls to the wall, Accept faz parte da minha vida há 40 anos ! !!!!!!!! Obrigado por existirem , de verdade!👏👏👏👏🤘🇧🇷
Glad they got a real singer. Nothing against Udo, I just think this guys got way more heart. Wolf Hoffman will always be one of my faves. The whole band is deadly awesome. Great job guys.

Always respect your elders. I grew up on bands like Lamb of God and Mastodon. Accept were one of the first, and one of the best to ever do it. Long live heavy metal.
Saw them back in the mid '80's open up for Iron Maiden at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin and they ripped it up then and by god, they still do now. Just incredible stamina and dedication to the Metal way of life. Would love to bring back the memories and see them once again, even though Udo is elsewhere. Long live the days of nailing your Balls to the Wall and rock in out to London Leather Boys....Long Live Accept!!! 🎸💥
that was amazing, I have to say I wish I could go see them over seas on THEIR grounds, I got lucky to see Accept in 1985 in Osaka Japan and it was an amazing experience for sure, but back then I barely knew who they were.. I agree that Mark isn't Udo, but each brings a perspective that the other don't.. but I think we ALL can agree that whether it be Mark or Udo the choice is FAR BETTER than that loser that they got back for the Eat the Heat album.. that guy was not even close to being right for the band.. and Mark has gone on to put his stamp on the newer stuff.. there can never be another Udo... but we can be thankful that Mark is very close. I love Accept and always will.
Fascinating that a vocalist of Mark Tornillo's calibre would sing upwards, thereby restricting his exhalation capacity which causes shortness of breath during singing. Still a fantastic rendition, and he clearly has the range to do this song justice. Long Live the kings, Long Live Accept!
Fast as Shark, he'll cut of the dark He's a killer he'll rip out your heart On a way track and you're not coming back 'Cause The Killer's on the attack
